I denna uppsats har vi intresserat oss för estetikens potential i skolans arbete och ägnat vår uppsats åt att följa projektet Flame. Flame startades under våren 2006 och genomförs av Kulturskolan i samarbete med Utbildningsförvaltningen och Stockholm stad. Projektet riktar sig till yrkesförberedande program och under hösten 2006 har man samarbetat med S:t Eriks och S:t Görans gymnasium i Stockholm. Man säger sig vilja ge eleverna nya redskap för att uttrycka sig med kultur. Ett annat mål för Flame är att undersöka hur metodutveckling kan gå till i praktiken. Syftet med vårt arbete har varit att, utifrån begreppet radikal estetik, undersöka hur man i Flame arbetar med och tänker kring estetik i skolan.

I dagens informationssamhälle ökar kravet på skriftspråklighet. Detta konstaterande kopplat till att läs- och skrivsvårigheter idag är den vanligast förekommande funktionsnedsättningen i vårt samhälle, gör att ett av skolans främsta specialpedagogiska uppdrag är att förebygga och undanröja läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Skolan behöver därför kompetens kring läs- och skrivsvårigheter samt de konsekvenser läs- och skrivsvårigheter får för elevernas kunskapsinhämtning, resultat och självkänsla. Då en del i arbetet med läs- och skrivsvårigheter är att överbrygga hinder är även kompetens kring alternativa verktyg viktigt. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka om en flerfunktions-applikation till iPhone/iPad hade potential att via sin användarvänlighet och lättillgänglighet fungera som alternativt verktyg och ge stöd till elever i läs- och skrivsvårigheter.Läs- och skrivsvårigheter, dess långtgående effekter samt en individs varande och lyckanden får inte ses som isolerade fenomen.

Strömstad is a small city located on the Swedish west coast. Urbanization and development is acurrent issue for the municipally, as for many other in the current situation. The municipal housingcompany Strömstadsbyggen is one of the parties involved in the extensive development that mustbe implemented to meet the changes and developments which the issue holds.One area that is of interest in the discussion is Rådhusberget - this due to the existing infrastructureand unique qualities that the area holds. In order to achieve the best solutions possible for the area,Strömstadsbyggen wishes to listen to what the existing tenants at Rådhusberget thinks and feelsregarding the area and its future potential.This thesis has therefore been carried out in collaboration with Strömstadsbyggen and has beenaimed at identifying the current tenants' thoughts and opinions in the existing area of developmentand infill potential. The aim of this work was also to investigate how the tenants value their homeand local environment in its current state, and what their wishes are for the possible futuredevelopment of Rådhusberget.To achieve analyzable results concerning how the tenants perceive these aspects, an extensivesurvey have been carried out which were sent out to all tenants in the area.

The electric vehicle market has potential to contribute to Sweden?s national goal to have a fossil fuel independent transport sector by 2030. However, the market answers to a lot of challenges making it difficult for the market to fully reach its potential. The volume of electric vehicles has seen a steady increase during the last year (2012), although many of these vehicles are mostly for PR purposes or bought by the public sector that wants to lead by example. Still, barriers in the form of high purchase costs, an anxiety for the limited battery capacity and the lack of standardisation are some of the problems that the market is struggling to solve.

Trots att särbegåvade elever utgör en viktig potential i vårt framtida samhälle, känns det att dessa elever inte får den stöd de behöver och har rätt till.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att utifrån styrdokument och forskning få en bild om hur uppfattas särbegåvade elever i skolorna och hur dessa elever bemöts i skolan.Arbetet grundas på en litteraturstudie som kompletterades med en kvalitativ studie där tre personer i en skola intervjuades..

This study analyses social age as a phenomenon and if unaccompanied refugee children has a social age that, according to the Swedish culture, do not correspond with their biological age and if so is, the reason for that. Furthermore, our study has discussed the potential consequences of the effects for the unaccompanied refugee children and the social age when interacting with Swedish society. According to our study, the social age is effected by other factors besides cultural norms, values and role expectations that a society has on a specific biological age. The results in this study shows that social age is a vital component to someone?s identity.

Ungulates are causing conflicts between stakeholders due to browsing damage on forests and agricultural crops. At the same time there is a big demand of keeping high ungulate densities for sports hunting and recreational purposes. Movement patterns of ungulates are strongly correlated with forage availability. Therefore, measures affecting forage quantity and distribution might be a tool to reduce the economical losses in forestry without decreasing the ungulate densities and thereby decrease the conflict between different interest groups.This study investigated the potential biomass production and utilisation of marrow-stem kale (Brassica oleracea var. medullosa), at game fields in Misterhult, Sweden, as well as browsing effects on adjacent forests.

The effect of moderate incongruency between a celebrity endorser and an advertised brand is considered in an experiment with celebrities, both congruent and moderately incongruent with the investigated brands. In addition, the influence of possible moderator variables was examined, as well as the potential impact of the celebrities? gender. It was found that an ad exposing a moderately incongruent combination of celebrity and brand generated a more positive result on attitude towards the ad, brand attitude and word of mouth. Idag består en stor del av barn och ungdomars vardag av ett stort flöde av olika medier. Datorspel hör därtill som en stor del av deras fritid. I detta arbete har vi försökt få kunskap kring ett datorspels potential i en matematikundervisning där kursplanens mål i skolår fem för ämnet har varit i åtanke. Analysen är gjord utifrån datorspelet The Sims 2 där spelets delar samt kursplanens mål har studerats. Studien har visat att en fokusering av målen är möjlig vid användningen av ett datorspel i undervisningssammanhang men även att ett spel har begränsningar, främst då mål med ett konkret innehåll ska behandlas..

The purpose of this report is to illustrate potentials and problems with withdrawal of quality timber of birch. The purpose is also to describe possible ways to increase available quantities of quality timber. Former research is reviewed as introduction. The study begins with a prognosis of future volumes of birch timber based on consequence analyze by Swedish Forestry Agency. To illustrate the importance of active maintenance, two stands are estimated and simulated in the Heureka module StandWise.

The codling moth, Cydia pomonella is a common pest in apple orchards and can be found worldwide. Feeding by codling moth larvae can cause a substantial decrease in apple yield. Control methods comprise for example the use of pesticides, viruses and pheromones. As a sustainable control method, pheromones have been successfully applied to disrupt moth mating behaviour. Other behaviours like foraging, search for mating sites or host finding could be potential targets for additional odour-mediated behavioural manipulation but need further investigations of the underlying odour stimuli and behavioural plasticity. Many insects are attracted to the smell of fermenting fruit and associated microorganisms.
