Denna uppsats diskuterar, utifrån relevant teori inom narratologin, det filmiska förstapersonsberättandet och dess konstruktion. Med utgångspukt i en synkron studie av ett antal förstapersonsfilmer (Where the Truth Lies, Millennium Mambo, The New World, The Thin Red Line, The Brown Bunny, Eyes Wide Shut och L'Intrus) diskuteras vilka implikationer dessa filmer har för filmteori rörande just det subjektiva berättandet och om det i någon egentlig bemärkelse finns en filmisk motsvarighet till det litterära "jaget"..

In this thesis my purpose is to study the mechanisms and discourses that are the foundations for identification processes, in a contemporary society characterised by increased mobility. By means of a fictitious life history, I relate to this problem constantly through the work. At the beginning of the essay I discuss the traditional, western, philosophical view of the self and its surroundings, which eventually leads me to focus on the theories of the sociology of knowledge. From this perspective I choose to examine globalisation processes and mobility, to create an understanding of how these two, changes the circumstances for the individual identification. In my concluding argument I stress that all research or all studies concerning identification processes must take into account that these identifications always take place with regard to time/place which also means, that it takes place both in real space and in imaginary space.

This Master Thesis investigates changes in Thailand's foreign policy towards its neighbouring country Burma. It argues that Thai foreign policy towards Burma has experienced major changes during four periods between 1945 and the present. The thesis investigates these foreign policy changes during the four periods. What changes occurred? What were the reasons for the changes? What reasons dominated during what periods? The four periods of Thai foreign policy changes towards Burma and the common history of the two countries since their respective foundations does not suggest a stable peaceful relationship or a bitter hostile relationship leading to war.

Syfte: Det främsta syftet med arbetet var att undersöka hur småbarns lärande gynnas ivardagliga spontana samspelssekvenser som uppstår mellan barnet och pedagogen.Syftet besvarades genom att undersöka vilka föremål och aktiviteter som fångarbarns uppmärksamhet och intresse, vilka av barns visade intresse uppmärksammasoch utmanas av pedagoger, och hur det stöd som barn får för sitt lärande ifrånspontana samspel med pedagoger kan relateras till de teorier som kan tänkas liggabakom läroplanen Lpfö98.Teori: Studien utgick ifrån det sociokulturella perspektivet på lärande och vilade påutvecklingspedagogiska rekommendationer kring arbete på förskolan samt på teorinom förmedlat/medierat lärande.Metod: Undersökningen genomfördes i form av barnobservationer och kvalitativa intervjuermed pedagoger.I studien medverkade sammanlagt 27 barn i 1-3 års ålder och 12 pedagoger på treolika småbarnsavdelningar.Resultaten av observationerna bearbetades både kvalitativt och kvantitativt.Resultat: Resultaten visade att bara en tredjedel av alla barns visade intresse besvaras avpedagoger i spontana samspel, dessutom har några kunskapsområden högre positioni barns rangordning av intresse än i pedagogernas omedvetna rangordning av vilkaav barnens intresse som skall uppmärksammas.Analysen av observationsmaterialet gjorde synligt att barn oftast får stöd för attförstå innebörd av saker och ting, för att bemästra olika aktiviteter och för attfokusera sitt medvetande på andras aktiviteter. Det pedagogiska stödet kommermestadels i form av samtal i vilka pedagoger sätter ord på och utökar barnsförståelse av omvärlden, samt genom att barns uppmärksamhet fokuseras pålärandets objekt och att pedagoger förmedlar yttre aspekter av lärandebeteende.Intervjuerna pekade på att pedagogers egna uppfattningar av stödet skiljer sig fråndet som påvisas av observationerna. De flesta pedagoger anser att de gagnar barnslärande i spontana samspelssekvenser framförallt genom en stimulerande miljö.Resultaten belyste också hypotetiska samband mellan barns ålder och stödetsupplägg samt mellan pedagogers yrkeserfarenhet och förmågan till meta-kognitionoch stödets potential för barns lärande.Resultaten synliggjorde några möjliga områden för pedagogerskompetensutveckling..

Syftet med denna studie är att utföra en kritisk diskursanalys av ett urval konstkritiska texter som behandlar utställningarna Paul McCarthy: Head Shop/Shop Head från 2006 och Nationalmuseums Lust & Last från 2011. This essay focuses on crime history and gender. It is a study of female crimes in the beginning of the 19th century in a small parish (Askeryd Socken) in Småland in the south part of Sweden. The method I have used is to study the records of Municipal Court regarding the citizens of the parish of Askeryd. I have then tried to find out whether the female offenders have been treated different than the male offenders, if there is a certain kind of gender-related crimes and in those cases where comparison is possible, I have examined if the females are treated in a lighter way. (?female discount?), or if they were treated as mentally unstable.The essay shows that in this particular parish during the years 1825 to 1830, female offenders were not treated in a lighter manner.

Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.

Similar to work of the feminist movement in the seventies, you nowadays can see an increased level of textile art expressions with feminist standpoints. In this thesis I compare two textile artists from each time period. These are Maria Adlercreutz with her composition I hennes ögon bevaras folkets ljus from 1972, and Lisa Anne Auerbach?s exhibition Chicken Strikken from 2012. The aim is to put the two artists in a contemporary context and explore their feministic approaches in the textile field.

Sweden has a long and extensive wind band tradition. Today the interest for the traditional instruments is decreasing among children and teenagers. What can this be due to? Which conditions are needed for a functional wind band in the future? The purpose of this essay is to find answers to these questions and at the same time shed light on good examples, where the wind band activity works. To be able to answer the questions have I made four interviews with persons who have a big knowledge and interest about the subject.

The eld of Brain-computer interfaces (BCI) concerns linking together an external device with the brain of a human or an animal. By doing this the conventional use of a mouse or keyboard can be circumvented, which can greatly benefit people with different types of diseases that cause paralysis or other loss of motor control, such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). A BCI can also be used for cognitive training of either healthy or mentally impaired subjects to increase cognitive capabilities.In this thesis an implementation of an interface is made against such a device, the Emotiv EPOC Headset. The result is meant to be a stable basis for further study using the device. An in-depth study of the history of EEG and its current use in clinical work and research in the topics of BCI as well as Human-computer interaction (HCI) is presented.
