This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

The consultancy firm Knowit sought a smartphone application for communication between schools and pupils. Together with the students, it was decided to create the app both for Android and for iPhone. The project would produce a prototype app with limited functionality usable as a proof-of-concept in communication with potential customers.The questions that have characterized the work are; what features would be demanded in a school app, how to program user-friendly functionality and how to use object-orientation to design such an app. A question has also mentioned the differences between development for iOS and Android. The work was done in an iterative process in which the students worked together with planning, programming and testing.

Vobbla Racing is a racing team who has an online sales department that is in need of an upgrade to be more efficient and easier to use. Before this study their present homepage was anything but structured. The products were sorted in an illogical order which made it difficult for the customer to find a wanted product. The customer had to summarize the products, transport sums and other costs. The order had to be e-mailed or phoned in to Vobbla Racing Produkter.

This thesis considers the development of the software for an, newly developed, embedded real-time control system, based on a Periferal Interface Controller (PIC). The control system is developed to be used for several different applications. In this thesis work, software for two different applications are developed. The first task is a time controlled system, while the other task is implementation of aPI-/PID-controller. A user interface is also developed and implemented.The time controlled system is an automatic horse feeder, which is used for feeding horses at certain predefined points in time.

I dagens samhälle ökar datoranvändandet stadigt och datorerna blir snabbare och snabbare. Trots detta står utvecklingen på ett område i det närmaste still, gränssnitten till våra operativsystemet. Den stora majoriteten av dagens gränssnitt bygger på samma principer som när de introducerades för över 20 år sedan, dessa principer kallas för WIMP vilket står för window, icon, Menu och pointing device. Då operativsystemet kan sägas vara basen för allt arbete med en dator och till väldigt stor del styr effektiviteten i användningen, kan man undra varför inte mer har hänt på detta område. Syftet med vår undersökning är att visa på att det dels finns tydliga användbarhetsproblem med dagens dominerande gränssnitt, samt att det finns flera alternativ som erbjuder annorlunda lösningar.
