Syftet med denna studie är att se hur socionomstudenters professionella sociala nätverk påverkas av organiserade mentorskap under utbildningen. Den teoretiska ramen utgörs av the Strength of Weak Ties, en teori om de svaga nätverkens betydelse för en individs professionella utveckling och framgång, samt nätverksteoretiska grunder och en litteraturgenomgång kring fenomenet mentorskap. Studien är genomförd som en fallstudie och fallet ifråga är mentorsprogrammet inom ramen för socionomutbildningen med inriktning verksamhetsutveckling på Malmö högskola. Datainsamlingen har skett genom en enkätundersökning bland de mentorer och adepter som genomfört och avslutat mentorsprogrammet samt intervjuer med nyckelpersoner inom organiseringen av det. Resultatet och analysen visar att det finns många indikationer på att studenternas sociala nätverk utökats med hjälp av mentorskapet.

But now, the gaming culture has grown and almost anyone in oursociety can own and play a video game. For that reason, one could ask the questions ?are thegames and the people who plays them still parts of a ?technical culture??? and ?do we needsome kind of prior knowledge to fully understand the videogame critics??The critics represent ?the official idea? of what a videogame is, how it works and if it is worthplaying.

Research has shown that students with another mother tongue than Swedish terminate elementary school with lower grades in all subjects, compared to students having Swedish as a mother tongue. This fact justifies further research on the forms of teaching Swedish as a second language. Attention has been given to the fact that the students with another mother tongue than Swedish have to cope with "dual learning". Parallel to the learning of a second language they need to obtain knowledge in all other subjects. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the School organise the work with students having another mother tongue than Swedish, and to find out how teachers in other subjects solve the problem of having students that struggle with "dual learning".

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka vilket förhållningssätt som är rådande vad gäller undervisningsplanering, sett utifrån lärarstudenters perspektiv, och på så vis få en djupare förståelse för hur och varför lärarstudenter planerar och förhåller sig till sin planering på ett visst sätt. Studien har undersökt de erfarenheter av, föreställningar och uppfattningar om undervisningsplanering, som blir synliga i lärarstudenters utsagor. Eftersom det finns ett stort tomrum vad gäller forskning kring momentet planering utifrån lärarstudenters perspektiv, då större delen av tidigare forskning fokuserat på momentet utifrån lärares perspektiv, har det varit relevant att undersöka vad just lärarstudenters utsagor talar för avseende planering. I syfte att synliggöra den subjektivitet som ligger till grund för studenternas förhållningssätt till planering, har studien tagit sin utgångspunkt i kvalitativa intervjuer som metod. Resultatet visar att såväl handledare som mentor har en stor betydelse för studenternas kunskap om samt tillvägagångssätt vid planering.

The government´s intensions were to give the individuals more influence in their housing, to increase the variety of accommodation and thereby create a freedom of choice when selecting their housing. They also saw opportunities to reduce segregation and increase the total production of houses and or apartments with this new type of ownership. The introduction was supposed to give the building companies a possibility to build with a new type of ownership and thereby create new and an increased number of projects for the future. This new accommodation form has however not gained the penetrating power that was expected.

This study has been carried out as a part of the EC funded project, SMARTDOC IST-2000-28137, with the objective of developing application components that provide highly interactive visualization and collaboration functionalities. The low-level components from the graphics library AVS OpenViz 2.0 are used as the development basis. The application components can be inserted into electronic documents that allow embedded controls such as web documents or Microsoft Word or PowerPoint documents. Instead of displaying results as static images, a SMARTDOC component provides the ability to visualize data and interact with it inside the document. Although the principal goal of the SMARTDOC project is to create components in a number of different application domains this study concentrates on developing a medical imaging application component in collaboration with the project partners AETmed and professor Alan Jackson at the University of Manchester.

Although textbooks are scientifically proven that they are important and central to the school curriculum one should think critically about the content in textbooks - is it really compatible with the curriculum of following the textbook tradition? As a teacher there are different ways to reflect on which textbook to choose. It is important to compare several textbooks with each other and be aware that a textbook should follow the curriculum. A teacher examines many sections/topics in the textbooks, but in this paper only one section will be reviewed among four different textbooks. The section to be compared, in the paper, is the interwar period.

Examensarbetets syfte var att undersöka och redogöra för tillvägagångssättet för att ta fram ett program för parallellt uppdrag för stadsdelen Nya Eriksberg i Uppsala. Uppsatsen besvarar också frågeställningen hur arbetsprocessen ser ut för att ta fram ett program för ett parallellt uppdrag. Stadsdelen Eriksberg ligger i utkanten av centrala Uppsala. Bostadsbolaget Uppsalahem är en av de dominerande markägarna i området tillsammans med Uppsala kommun. Stadsdelen byggdes ut på 60-talet och många av Uppsalahems fastigheter är i behov av omfattande renoveringar. I samband med en förnyelse av dessa detta såg Uppsalahem möjligheten att få flera olika utvecklingsmöjligheter av området belyst genom att arrangera ett parallellt uppdrag.

Abstract In order to work with historical sites, there must be an understanding of the complexity around the preservation of parks, gardens and landscapes and the approach to be used in the rebuilding and renewal. These issues are an important starting point of this essay. Historical environments give us as individuals an insight in who we are and from where we come, which is an important part of our need of identity as human beings. Without them, our roots in the past will be non-existent. The importance of this support base lies not only in the garden conservation, but also in the picture of developments, which we have through of as time mirrors of our living environment.

I en mer konkurrenskraftig värld måste anställda arbeta snabbt och effektivt för att generera vinst åt företagen. Fokus skiftar från välmående av sina anställda till företagets ekonomiska resultat. En negativ konsekvens av detta kan vara att kollegor och chefer inte investerar tid och energi för att hjälpa nyanställda att utveckla sin kompetens. För att motverka detta krävs det att företagen satsar på sina anställda, exempelvis genom mentorskap.Syftet med denna studie är att ge förbättringsförslag på mentorskap inom svenska teknikföretag, genom att genomföra en fallstudie på företagen Grontmij AB och Ericsson AB. Studiens huvudfråga är: Hur kan mentorskapen inom svenska teknikföretag förbättras? Studien ger en inblick i hur mentorskap kan och bör användas i praktiken.Mentorskapsformer som har tagits upp i detta arbete är formellt och informellt mentorskap, med en intern eller extern mentor.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att undersöka hur nyutbildade 1-7 lärare i matematik och NO upplever sin yrkesdebut samt sin första tid i yrket. Jag önskade även finna de faktorer som ansågs vara de största utmaningarna under det första året. För att söka svar på dessa frågor valde jag att genomföra kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sammanlagt sex lärare som tjänstgjort i ca ett år. Som förberedelse för intervjuerna genomförde jag en litteraturstudie för att sätta mig in i ämnet samt att se vad forskning på området tidigare kommit fram till. Undersökningens resultat visar att nyutexaminerade lärare upplever det sociala arbetet som påfrestade.

Vi får höra allt oftare i media om alla de elever som slutar grundskolan utan behörighet till gymnasieskolan. Det görs därför olika typer av insatser i skolan för att förhindra utvecklingen som vi nu ser. En av satsningarna är den individuella utvecklingsplanen och syftet med den har skrivits fram som en tidig och kontinuerlig informationsbärare till vårdnadshavare gällande elevens kunskapsutveckling i skolan. Vårdnadshavare och skola ska på så sätt dela på ansvaret så att man tidigt upptäcker och åtgärdar uppkomna problem i skolutvecklingen. Utvecklingsplanen är ett dokument med framåtsyftande fokus på elevens hela skolutveckling.
