Barn som lider av depression är ovanligt men i tonåren ökar sjukdomen markant. Primärvården blir ofta den första vårdkontakten. Vårdpersonal inom primärvården känner inte alltid till symtomen för depression hos ungdomar. Om tonåringar inte får hjälp med sin depression kan det leda till sämre livskvalitet och försämrad prestation i skolan. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur primärvården kan identifiera depression hos ungdomar.

Introduction: Parental involvement is becoming increasingly common in the paediatric health care. Parental participation at home means that parents receive instruction by nursing staff in order to perform a caregiving procedure at home.Aim: To explore parents' feelings about performing caregiving procedures on their child at home, and their experience of instruction about these, and to explore nurses? experiences of their instruction to parents.Method: A descriptive quantitative and qualitative design using questionnaires with statements to be responded by nurses and parents according to scales graded 1-10. The study was carried out during the autumn of 2009 at a pediatric unit in the University Hospital in Uppsala.Results: Ten completed questionnaires from the nursing staff and ten from parents were obtained. The mean assessment of parents' perceived safety and security, and their perception that their questions had been answered ranged between 8,6 and 9,2.

Inom forskning kring affekt och emotioner har man funnit att positiv sinnesstämning leder till ökad perception utifrån helheten av visuell stimulans på en global nivå medan negativ sinnesstämning leder till ökad perception utifrån detaljer på en lokal nivå (e.g. Gasper & Clare, 2002, Gasper, 2004). Denna rapport syftar till att hitta ett samband mellan dessa fynd och de två typer av mental bearbetning som är kända inom forskningen kring minne: en som ger minnet kontext och en som gör det enklare att urskilja (e.g. Burns, 2006). Detta samband är i författarens kännedom inte tidigare testat i publicerade studier.

Denna kandidatuppsats i landsbygdsutveckling har som syfte att studera hur landsbygden representeras i två livsstilsmagasin; Drömhem & Trädgård och Lantliv. För att kunna besvara uppsatsens syfte utförs en kvantitativ och kvalitativ innehållsanalys, samt en semiotisk bildanalys på materialet. Detta utförs för att kunna urskilja rådande och florerande tankefigurer kring landsbygden, som både medvetet och omedvetet kan påverka människors föreställningar och agerande och som i sin tur kan vara avgörande för den svenska landsbygdens framtid. Den centrala slutsatsen i den här studien är att landsbygden framställs som förskönande och idyllisk, vilket kan sammanfattas med begreppet och teorin kring den lantliga idyllen. I min studie byggs den lantliga idyllen upp och bekräftas av fem sub-tankefigurer och tidskrifternas bilder, dessa bidrar till att den lantliga idyllen inte är tillgänglig för alla..

The research of today shows that natural environments are importantfor children's physical and mental development. It alsoshows that children often opt out of the traditional equipmentplaygrounds have to offer. By breaking the boundary betweenthe playground and park, is it possible to create a new spacethat will encourage rather than demand play? Through gatheringinformation and talking to landscape architects, designers,and children, I realized that today's parks already have environmentsand objects that could be used for playing. But whatthey need is something that makes the environment even moreinviting for children to play.

Background: Men that have gone through treatment for prostate cancer may lose their sexuality as result of treatment. The sexual ability might symbolize manliness, despite age and sexual activities. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to describe; Influence on sexuality and the daily life for men with prostatecancer and their experience of informationneeds. Method: The material for the literature study was searched through databases; 13 scientific articles were selected and two articles through manual search, all 15 articles were examined. Result: Five categories were found in the result of the literature study; physical dimension, emotional/mental dimension, social/practical dimension and informationneeds.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att sammanställa och analysera kunskapsläget inom befintlig forskning om anknytningsprocessen mellan adoptivbarn och deras adoptivföräldrar och hur denna process kan främjas. Metod var en systematisk litteratur studie baserad på 32 artiklar. I resultatet fann författarna att en bra anknytning är en viktig bas för barns framtida utveckling samt att adoptivbarn löper större risk att drabbas av mental ohälsa jämfört med biologiska barn. En anknytningsrisk som kan drabba adoptivföräldrar är post adoption depression. Adoptivföräldrar behöver mer stöd jämförelse med andra föräldrar samt att det finns för lite stödåtgärder till adoptivföräldrar på barnhälsovården.

Detta är en fallstudie som handlar om arbetet med en sångelev som påstod sig inte kunna sjunga. Eleven hade byggt upp stora mentala hinder kring sin sångförmåga, och studien tar upp dessa hinder samt de processer som utlöstes vid försöken att komma runt dem.Syftet med studien är att undersöka tankegångarna kring undervisningen av eleven samt de övningar som användes. Studien belyser också de processer eleven och läraren gick igenom samt diskuterar deras betydelse och innebörd.Studien bygger på lärarens anteckningar från 30 lektionstillfällen, utspridda på ca två år, samt lärarens och elevens reflektioner efteråt.Resultatet visar några av de processer som bildades under arbetets gång, samt att eleven kunde klara av mer än hon trott var möjligt genom att utveckla rätt inställning och ha tillgång till bra verktyg..

In the care for the critically ill patient the next of kin is of great importance. Their support, love and care for the patient, increases the wellbeing and makes a connection to the patient?s normal lifeworld. For the next of kin to be able to be that support the next of kin needs to be helped to maintain the basic need of for example their sleep, food, hygiene and psychosocial support. The critical care nurse must see to the patient?s whole lifeworld which includes their next of kin.The aim of the study was to identify the resources available for the next of kin in intensive care units in Sweden.

IntroductionStatistics show a declining trend despite the many benefits of breastfeeding.AimThe aim was to investigate how new mothers experienced the care associated with childbirth, with focus on breastfeeding.MethodThe study included mothers who gave birth in a hospital in the middle region of Sweden during 2011, and who responded to an online survey (n?1000). The present study was based upon answers from the open questions concerning dissatisfaction and suggestions for improvement and have been categorized using content analysis.ResultsMothers described failure in several areas, with a negative impact on breastfeeding. Many experienced that they had not been seen and treated like an individual, and that the healthcare staff had been unpleasant, impersonal, ignorant and stressed. Mothers wanted more credit from the staff concerning their own ability and some reported that they had been controlled and ?run over?.

This thesis has been done in collaboration with Peab Stockholm Building 3, which is a region within the Peab Sverige AB. The report is based on a survey and studies of Peab business management systems and production literature. For general information gathering has literature from well-known sources collected in libraries and through the Internet. It shows through the work that Peab has routines for experience feedback in the construction process, but that these procedures work in a small scale and the practical work experience feedback does not work at all. This is also something the construction industry in general also perceived as problematic. The questions in the report are of a wide scale and concerns construction errors cost, how the employees perceive that the company takes advantage of the skills and the mental stress in production line. The goal is to find how Peab Stockholm Building 3 will work on the experience feedback to allow for better productivity. In conclusion, the report author tries to demonstrate what can lead to increased productivity and improved work experience..

I dagens samhälle drabbas ett större antal individer av en hjärtinfarkt varje år. Bland de vanligaste komplikationer som kan uppstå efter en hjärtinfarkt är depression som kan leda till återinsjuknande eller för tidig död. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att studera vilka effekter rehabiliteringsprogram har på patienten efter insjuknande i hjärtinfarkt samt se om de minskar graden av depression. Metoden var en systematisk litteraturstudie som utgick från åtta kvantitativa artiklar som kvalitetsbedömdes enligt Goodmans sju steg. This thesis analyzes contemporary Swedish discourse on Russia, i.e. the ways Russia and Russians are perceived in Sweden today. After a summary of historical Western and Swedish perceptions of Russia, and a discussion about the treatment of these tensions within modern research, contemporary Swedish discourse is reconstructed based upon analytical articles in three major newspapers during the period 1992-2007. It is argued that the prevailing image of Russia contains the reproduction of old stereotypes and prejudices. The five major representations of Russia in contemporary Swedish discourse are: non-Western, unreliable, authoritarian, threatening and eternal, with the last one being a meta-representation functioning both as a representation of its own and a mechanism for the reification of the others.
