Aeroseum is an aviation museum located in an old military underground hangar. The ventilation system in the hangar is designed for the military purpose of the hangar. This design includes a solution with air flowing through the space between the construction of the hangar and the rock surface. The solution is intended to avoid a buildup of inflammable gases. This design leads too high humidity levels in the hangar.

Utvärdering av energieffektiviseringsåtgärder på Bokelundskolan i Växjö
The purpose with this report is to examine how the implemented energy efficiency measures on Bokelundskolan in Växjö have had impact on the energy use. The measures which have been implemented are, new ventilation system, new heating system, optimized adjustment of the heating system, new windows with U-value 1.2 and lower window height, insulation under windows and in the crawl space. The school's energy use before and after rebuilding has been calculated with the calculation program, Vip-Energy 1.5.5.Calculations of energy use for the school with windows on U-value, 0.9 and 0.7 have also been done. The replacement of windows has been studied from a cost perspective. The conclusion is that the exchange of heat and ventilation system was the biggest contributor to reduced energy use on Bokelundskolan.

At the Division of Electricity at UppsalaUniversitythere are ongoing researches, including a research concerning turbo generators.Turbo generators produce a large share of electricity in the world; however they are costly mainly due to the fact that the cooling and ventilation that are needed to eliminate the excess heat from the generators are expensive. Turbo generators work with high efficiency and in this project, the main task is to simulate a generator while taking into account that the generator must be designed against self-oscillation, centrifugal force, exhaustion and heat. The turbo generator must be simulated without being too expensive and complicated.In this project, the dimensions of the turbo generator depend on the efficiency of it, and where the losses are in the generator. Furthermore, the optimum values need to be chosen with the help of the ACE simulation program. The report begins with an introduction describing the project followed by a task description that is dealing with the project.

Operation ventilationsavstängning: Inventering av möjligheterna att i Skellefteå kommuns verksamheter stänga ventilationen vid Viktigt Meddelande till Allmänheten.
Syftet med den här studien var att inventera möjligheterna för kommunala verksamheter inom Skellefteå kommun att stänga av ventilationen vid varningssignalen Viktigt Meddelande till Allmänheten. Inventeringen skedde med hjälp av enkäter som sändes till ett stort antal kommunala verksamheter såsom; förskolor, skolor, äldreboenden, badhus och bibliotek. Resultatet visade att kunskap om alarmsignalen Viktigt meddelande till allmänheten var låg. Några förslag på hur säkerheten kan förbättras, ifall en olycka inträffar, är givna i rapporten. Ett av förslagen som framkommer är att öka kunskapen om hur ventilationen stängs av.
Mekanisk Hårddisk : Stresstestad för att utvärdera miljöns påverkan på de interna komponenterna
Absolut populäraste lagringsmediet i dagens läge är fortfarande den mekaniska hårddisken, vilken har möjligheten att lagra stora mängder data till ett lågt pris. Livslängden på en mekanisk hårddisk är omöjlig att förutse, men för eller senare kommer den att gå sönder. Orsaken till skadan är i många fall mekaniska brister på insidan av hårddisken, vilket anses vara en mycket komplex procedur att reparera och bör genomföras i ett renrum.I denna rapport har experiment genomförts för att ifrågasätta hur vida faktiskt miljön och kravet på ett renrum är ett krav. Genom att byte komponenter på en känt fungerande hårddisk och därefter stresstesta enheten för att utvärdera hårddiskens hälsa. Detta sker genom utföra en sektoranalys under upprepande tillfällen för att processen skall bli genomförd på ett korrekt och kontrollerat sätt.
Ett glapp i tiden ? Patienters upplevelse av att vårdas i ventilator.
Indikationen till att vårdas på en intensivvårdsavdelning (IVA) är i praktiken att patienten bör övervakas på grund akut svikt i vitala organ, som t.ex. i cirkulation eller respiration mm. Att vara intuberad innebär att stämbanden är bortkopplade vilket i sin tur leder till svårigheter för patienten att kommunicera.Syftet med studien är att undersöka patientens upplevelse av att vårdas i ventilator på en intensivvårdsavdelning. Kvalitativ litteraturstudie på upp till 10 år gamla artiklar har analyserats enligt Graneheim och Lundmans metod. I resultatet har funnits att minnen från vårdtiden har emotionella inslag relaterat till endotrachealtuben, men också till en tidsperiod präglat av minnesluckor som blir till en upplevelse av brist på kontroll.

SammanfattningVår uppdragsgivare Metso Paper Karlstad AB är världsledande inom tillverkning av Tissue maskiner (tunn papper). Av Metso Paper fick vi uppgiften att utveckla en Mekanisk Slitter. En mekanisk slitter sitter monterad i slutet av en tissue maskin och har uppgiften att dela pappersbanan i flera delar beroende på hur många slittrar man valt att installera. Varför man delar pappersbanan är för att underlätta efterhanteringen av rullarna.Problemet med dagens Mekaniska Slitter är att den inte klarar av de säkerhetskrav som ställs för att få kunna vistas i området där den är installerad. Avståndet som klingan är oskyddad är för stort.
