En alltför enahanda och negativ rapportering av äldre riskerar att framställa dem främst som ett samhällsproblem, något som kan leda till avståndstagande och diskriminering. Forskare menar att ökad förståelse för åldrandeprocessen kräver kunskaper om hela denna process.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the reason behind thedecision to open libraries at subway stations in Stockholm.The theoretical framework for the study is Douglas Raber´s threeideologies, social activism, conservative response and populistinitiative. The study includes interviews with librarians and apolitician responsible for the service and documents with plansfor the Public Libraries development during the period. Theempirical material was examined with an idea- and ideologicalanalysis.The conclusion is that the concept of the subway libraries consistsof a combination of the three ideologies but the most evidentare those of populist initiative and social activism.The reason for opening libraries at subway stations is to makethe libraries more easily accessible, to attract new visitors and tomake the Public Libraries service more visible. These smalllibraries have a function as a market place for the Public Librariesand as a meeting place in the city..

Detta har skett genom intervjuer med personer som har genomgått tolvstegsprogrammet och har personliga erfarenheter av på vilket sätt tron har används för att ta sig ur ett missbruk. De har beskrivit tron som en högre makt som alltid är med i vardagen, ger inre kraft och styrka att fortsätta kämpa, en kraft som värmer inombords, vill väl och som inger lugn. Tron på att det finns en mening med allt som sker har ingett hopp och tro på en framtid utan alkohol. Denna tro har haft stor betydelse och utan detta redskap säger de sig inte ha klarat av att ta sig ur missbruket.

In Sweden we need more lambs during March to June. I decided to calculate on a spring lamb production, because to many of the Swedish lambs go to slaughter in the autumn. I counted on 1000 ewes which have 2000 lambs each year, 200 of these lambs stays on the farm and replace old ewes. The buildings are 3600 square meters. I have counted on two different sorts of buildings, the first one is a shed, the second one is three polytunnel sheephouses.

The aim of this paper is to investigate what part film music plays in the creation of stereo-types in the production of Swedish cinema, in the 1990s and early 2000s. This period of Swedish cinema was largely defined through the visualization of life in the smaller provinces of the country. The results were reached through the analyzing of four important works of this era, representing different provinces and genres. The examined movies have shown frequent use of extreme characters and a somewhat hostile environment in search of an interesting story. The music is used in ways of describing class differences amongst the inhabitants and to set the gen-eral mood of the concerned provinces: an agent often working in the unconscious of the viewer in order to affect the final results..

Ungdomsbrottslighet och ungdomsproblematik har varit ett aktuellt ämne under en längre period. Nattvandrarnas ambition är att genom att synliggöra sig själva för ungdomarna, kunna minska eventuella brott, samt att bidra till en tryggare miljö för ungdomar. Denna studie avser att lyfta fram nattvandrarna och deras arbetssätt samt att se eventuell problematik som kan uppkomma från deras arbetsformer med ungdomar. Genom att utföra en deltagande observation i form av fältarbete under valborgsmässoafton, redogör denna uppsats för nattvandrarnas arbetssätt med ungdomar i Helsingborg. Uppsatsen innehåller även intervjuer med både tonårsföräldrar och tonåringar för att kunna lyfta fram den rådande uppfattningen om nattvandrarna och deras metoder..

It?s been noted that cows held at the section of ruminant medicine and epidemiology, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (IME), used for the education of veterinary students, have a lower heart rate than what is considered normal for ruminants. In this investigation the heart rates of seven lactating cows were recorded continuously during the period around drying off. The first recording took place at the farm from where the cows were bought, and then their heart rate was monitored after their arrival at IME and further on until they were completely dried off. The results were then compared to the heart rate of seven already dried off cows from the same farm.
