Castration of dogs holds many reasons and opinions, therefore methods, traditions and rea-sons vary. The approaches have during time changed from mostly surgical castrations to also including hormonal treatments. Castration is used to control the dog's reproductive abilities, for medical reasons and to possibly rectify problems of behavioral nature. How common a particular method of castration is in a country is highly dependent on the country's traditions. In Sweden it is most common with castration for medical reasons, such as possible elimina-tion of diseases, for example, benign colorectal tumors.

A thesis directed towards Innovationsslussen in Gothenburg about securing, improving and simplifying sitting on the toilet for patients with sitting difficulties. The primary target group for the project is patients who have had a stroke and as a consequence from that suffers from various kind of bodily paralysis.An overall goal was to design an aid that was comprehensive enough that the patient could manage sitting securely on the toilet without have a nurse giving physical support during defecation.Five conceptual proposals were developed and evaluated in consultation with Innovationsslussen and one was selected to be further developed.The result was an integrated support at the toilet that facilitates a good sitting posture which minimizes the risk of falling and provides comfortable support when leaning to the side. Denna rapport är en undersökning om hur man gör en bana i ett FPS-spel så att banan blirintressant och rolig så att så många spelare som möjligt vill spela den. This report is a part of the process of enhanced cooperation between fire rescue services in the region of North West Scania. The aim of the report is to study and analyze how the fire rescue service should be structured, in terms of rescue units and personnel, if no account is to be taking to the current organization. Two types of accident are considered in the report, traffic accidents and building fires. These are more affected by decreased response time than other accidents. Several suggested organizations are presented and they are evaluated with the computer program REP.

The purpose of doing this essay was to illustrate how people living with chronic disease, dependent on medical technology experience their life situation. The study includes people with either dialysis therapy, mechanical ventilator or chronic oxygen therapy. A meta-synthesis was used as a method where a systematically review of studies that are made in a given issue compiles. Vi avgränsade ämnet team genom att välja ut faktorerna: teamens stöd från företaget ? målsättning och information, teamens ledare, teamens sammansättning samt teamens sociala miljö.Syfte: Vårt syfte var att genom en fallstudie av Kronofogdemyndighetens enhet Summarisk process i Uddevalla identifiera vad som fungerar bra och mindre bra med deras teambaserade arbetssätt. Vi ville dessutom klargöra om det teambaserade arbetssättet är ett lämpligt arbetssätt för den berörda enheten.Metod: Vår undersökning byggde främst på den kvalitativa metoden.

Vidare studerar vi situationens och sammansättningens effekt på samarbetet och samspelet i ledningsgruppen. Metod: Vår uppsats är en kvalitativ studie av de fyra fallföretagen Öresundskraft Marknad AB, Öresundskraft Underhåll AB, Sydkraft Gas AB och WM-data Industrial Solutions. Vi har genomföret ett antal intervjuer i fallföretagen samt en expertintervju.

Chiari type I malformation is a condition in humans characterized by a small posterior cranial fossa, downward herniation of the cerebellar tonsils, foramen magnum overcrowding and disturbances of cerebrospinal fluid dynamics. Syringohydromyelia is often seen in patients with Chiari type I malformation. Syringohydromyelia is characterized by fluid-filled cavities in the spinal cord. This causes damage to the nervous tissue in the spinal cord. In recent years, a condition similar to Chiari type I malformation has been recognized in dogs. It has mostly been seen in Cavalier King Charles spaniels (CKCS). The condition seen in dogs is usually called occipital bone hypoplasia. The aim of the study was to examine whether there is a difference in the shape of the caudal fossa between CKCS, small bred dogs with a similar head shape and dogs with a normal head shape and if occipital bone hypoplasia is related to a head shape with a steep back of the head. Other aims of the study were to examine the crowding of nervous tissue in the foramen magnum in each breed group, the extent of syringohydromyelia and to what extent the malformation had caused neurological signs. Sculls from dogs on autopsy were divided in halves and the position of the cerebellum compared to the level of the foramen magnum was studied.

Background Anesthesia-related deaths are common in dogs, especially in the postoperative period, in compare to humans. This study aims to describe and elucidate the qualities of the postoperative care for dogs in Sweden. Method To investigate the postoperative care, a qualitative study was made by interviewing personnel in the animal health care sector. The primary information from the interviews was analyzed in a qualitative manor and a few distinguished qualities came forth. Results These qualities describe the postoperative care and include preventive activities, postoperative activities, monitoring and communication. A variation in regards to the results was seen between the interviewed.

Every day in medical care the nurse and the patient meet, they are not just represented as the care giver and the care taker, but also as two unique individuals. The meeting is a very important part in caring and few studies have been made on this topic from the patient.s perspective. The purpose of this study was to describe the patient.s perspective on the meeting with the nurse. The study is a literature review, where articles have been reviewed, encoded, and then categorized. The result builds on our four main categories, confirmed as a unique indidual, the meaning of the information according to the patient, the humanistic side of the nurse, and the importance of humor in the meeting.

I de flesta projekt som drivs, inte bara inom IT branschen, görs alltid en projektutvärdering avom projektet blivit lyckat, om man lyckats att hålla den finansiella budgeten, om tidsplanenhållit och om man faktiskt fått det system eller den produkt som man beställt och trott sig få.Sällan utvärderas själva projektmetoden och de mänskliga resurser som befinner sig iprojektet och som egentligen är viktigast för att hela projektet skall lyckas komma i hamn.Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa projektmetodiken Scrum ur individens perspektiv.Frågeställningen jag i denna studie således fokuserat på är dels hur individen påverkas,motiveras och drivs av att tillhöra ett Scrumteam, dels hur denna processmetod kan relaterastill gruppdynamiken.Studiens empiriska material, utgörs av semistrukturerade intervjuer och en fältstudie. För attfå en så bred spridning av respondenterna som möjligt valde jag att intervjua medarbetareifrån fyra helt olika företag, dock alla verksamma inom mjukvaruutveckling. Företagen skiljersig åt både med hänsyn till storlek och i hur länge de har använt sig av Scrum somprojektmetod. Fältstudien genomfördes vid ett av dessa fyra företag.Generellt var alla respondenter positiva till Scrum som projektmetodik. I princip allarespondenter upplevde att de fått större ansvar, blivit mer delaktiga i helheten samt blirbetrodda som de som vet mest.

This thesis has created an image of the exchange of information among teachers in the Swedish upper secondary school. The study indicates that the exchange of information seems to be limited at all levels and the exchange that takes place outside the own teaching team occurs mainly through teachers personal networks. The study also shows barriers that may exist and the opportunities that an increased exchange may generate. From the picture that the empirical material provides and the theory that is presented a discussion is made around how IT can best support the organizational learning in schools. A concrete proposal is that at national level an IT platform should be created, which primarily focuses on materials that are created by its users and has an open architecture with a single login..

Tanken med vårt examensarbete var att vi skulle ge oss själva en bra start i arbetslivet. Dels genom att komma igång mer med låtskrivandet men framförallt att få inblick i vad som ska till för att vi senare ska kunna ta oss hela vägen. Att slå sig in i musikbranschen som låtskrivare/producent är ingen lätt uppgift och att göra sig ett namn som en sådan duo eller ett sådant team är få förunnat.Internet är ett bra forum att visa upp sig på men där om någonstans slåss man med många om uppmärksamheten.
