A system for sampling of alcohol and aldehyde from diluted exhaust gases from vehicles powered by ethanol has been developed and tested. The major part of the work has been research of earlier work in the field and the construction of the sampling system.The part of the system constructed for the Measurement of alcohol has been shown to work, however, more test should be performed. The part of the system constructed for the Measurement of aldehyde was tested parallel to a commercially available system, based on the same principle of Measurement, and has been shown to work well.Determination of the concentration of gaseous ethanol using a FID has shown the since earlier known fact that a FID is not able to measure a correct concentration of ethanol. Furthermore it has been shown that high concentrations of gaseous ethanol can not be kept in a bag more than a few minutes without a substantial decrease of the measured concentration..

The aim is to describe the factors that influence nurses' assessment and Measurement of pain in patients. Literature study based on 13 reviewed articles, searched in the Cinahl. Qualitative and quantitative articles were analyzed. Six themes were identified that can be seen as the factors that influence nurses' assessment and Measurement. The themes were   pain education, nurses´ experience in the profession, nurses´ level of knowledge about pain relief, documentation about pain, nurse´s perspective on the patient, and pain Measurement.

This thesis describes a method of measuring axial magnetic leakage flux in an operational hydropower generator. Axial magnetic leakage flux is the magnetic flux at the ends of a rotating generator, which goes through the stator parallel to the rotor axis. This flux can cause circulating currents in the stator iron, giving rise to losses, and can in the worst case overheat a generator, causing it to melt down. To measure the axial flux, and how it affects the generator temperature, a Measurement system was constructed on behalf of Vattenfall. The system consists of search coil sensors and a signal-processing unit with amplifiers and active filtering.  To confirm the behaviour of the axial leakage flux and the functionality of the Measurement system, a test installation was made.

The idea is that the organisation should be more efficient with a more efficient resource usage. Performance Measurement systems are important tools for achieving the policies set out within an organization, measuring and evaluating performance is a way to see where improvements in efficiency may be necessary in the business. Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is one of several measuring systems, where the focus is on measuring non-financial performances.

The content of the following report is the summarized result of three students thesis at Blekinge Institute of Technology in co-operation with Water Jet Sweden AB. This report will give the reader a description of principles how to measure the abrasive mass flow in a waterjet cutting system. The work began with a visit to Water Jet Sweden AB to get a closer look at the problem. When the analysis of the problem was done the criteria were defined in the form of demands and desires. The main task of the criteria was to guide the search for the solution.

This study was performed in collaboration with Moelven Skog AB, Örebro district. The purpose of the study was to review existing literature in order to describe the current status of harvester based Measurement technology as the way to provide information for calculating payment to the forest owners. In addition to this, a short survey was conducted to find out how a switch to harvester based Measurement would affect the administrative workload on timber purchasers working for the district. The literature study shows that the harvester Measurement technology is ready to use if it is combined with well-established routines for control of the harvesters, methods for automatic quality indexing of the timber and ways of creating pricelists specially adapted for harvester Measurement. Pricing each stem seems to be the most promising method. Stem pricing has several benefits.

Syftet med studien är att redovisa nya forskningsresultat gällande objektiv utvärdering av hörapparater med hjälp av hörselgångsmätning, samt att beskriva en modern, evidensbaserad och kliniskt användbar metod för de vanligaste typerna av elektro-akustiska hörapparater med olika typer av insats. Studien består av en allmän litteraturstudie som beskriver tidigare rekommendationer samt en systematisk litteraturstudie där nya rön gällande metodiken vid hörselgångsmätning presenteras. Utifrån hörselgångsmätningens olika delmoment undersöker studien vilka konsekvenser de nya rönen har för utförandet vid hörselgångsmätning. I slutsatsen presenteras en metod för objektiv utvärdering av moderna hörapparater..

It is based on interviews with people from several different technological companies, within different lines of business, all of which are customers to A?F?s department of product development.The results show that there are seven critical factors for project efficiency and effectiveness.
