Arbetet behandlar Howard Gardners teorier om de sju intelligenserna, tillämpningar av dessa i matematikundervisning, kopplingar till läroplanen samt en undersökning om dessa används i praktiken. De pedagoger som beskriver praktisk tillämpning av Gardners teorier menar att det till stor del handlar om ett nytt förhållningssätt till undervisning. En förutsättning att anpassa undervisningen till dessa teorier är att den fysiska miljön möjliggör gruppindelning. Läroplanen ger stöd för arbetssätt som kan kopplas till Gardners teorier. Det går att läsa att undervisningen ska anpassas till elevernas förutsättningar och behov.

Elektronisk marknadsföring är på stark frammarsch. Det finns dock många hinder att komma över för att kunna se effekten av denna marknadsföring på ett effektivt sätt. Det svåra för företagare nu och tidigare är att kunna värdera elektroniska tjänster som inte direkt handlar om pengar. Informationsuppföljningen i stort är oftast bristfällig och nya system krävs för att ge en klar bild. Denna rapport går igenom konstruktionen av en prototyp som skall klara av att hantera denna form av information samt kunna visa den effektivt.

ABSTRACT The main purpose of IT security policies is to protect companies against intrusion and unwanted spread of information. Statistics show that IT related crimes tend to increase and because of that it is important, from the company?s side of view, to be well prepared. The IT security policy is an important part of that preparation. A lot of the crimes related to IT can be deduced indirectly to employees at the companies where the crime takes place.

ITT Flygt is a world leading company that mainly manufactures submersible pumps. A problem of ITT Flygt is that product development projects rarely manage to hold the estimated project time. It shows that something unexpected occurs in projects quite often, which results in delays. The delays can both be due to an optimistic time plan of projects and risks in product development projects which are not discovered at an early stage. This added with unforeseen delays makes it difficult for ITT Flygt to estimate the duration of their projects.The goal with the Master thesis is to examine a suitable method for simulation of project time.

Human therapeutic professions is the area where the illness is most prevalent. The purpose of this study was through a qualitative method and hermeneutic approaches explore how conscious six social workers in the social services are on stress and how they cope with it. Further it investigates and analyzes how these results affect their daily work.One important result due to stress is that the social workers ability to treat their clients is impaired and they are less able to be empathetic. Inadequacy in the work environment leads to a sense of insufficiency by social workers, and a reduced quality of life.

Statistics regarding children, who are overweight, shows alarming results in many parts of the world. Overweight may cause serious consequences, as for instance heart- and vascular diseases. Research is pointing out that hereditary, social, behavioural and cultural facts may promote developing overweight and it is of great importance to find out how to prevent overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. The purpose of the literature study was to compile primary and secondary preventions against overweight/obesity in children and adolescents. The result showed that prevention through education, recommendations, healthy eating and exercise may be usable in the work to prevent overweight among children and adolescents.

AbstraktHeléne Ingvarsson och Lotta JigrotLaborativ matematik- Hur, när och varför används det?Concrete mathematics- How, when and why is it used?Antal sidor: 37Eftersom vi båda undervisar i ämnet matematik i årskurs 2, kände vi ett intresse för attundersöka hur matematikundervisningen är upplagd och genomförs i de lite äldreåldersgrupperna (årskurs 4-5). Under vår utbildning till lärare i matematik har vi förståttvikten av laborativt arbetssätt i matematik. Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att undersökaom pedagoger använder sig av laborativt arbetssätt i matematik och i så fall hur och hur ofta. Istudien ville vi även undersöka språkets betydelse för den laborativa matematiken.Vi använde oss av en litteraturstudie samt en kvalitativstudie, där vi intervjuade sex lärarefrån olika skolor belägna både på landet och i en mellanstor stad.

Syftet med denna studie är att undesöka vilket matematiskt innehåll förskollärare synliggör vid användning av bilderboken Lilla nollan och dom andra. För att besvara studiens frågeställningar har både observationer och kvalitativa intervjuer använts. Två förskollärare från en förskola valdes ut. Barnen som deltog vid observationerna var 4-5 år gamla. Resultatet visar att förskollärarna synliggör ett brett matematiskt innehåll i den ovannämnda bilderboken.

Car usage is determined by several facts, e.g. living conditions determined by geographical matters. There is a political will to control car usage with different kinds of incentives since car usage generates environmental problems. This essay analyses the differences between car usage in urban areas as opposed to thinly populated areas in Sweden and their significance on governmental incentives. By using statistics differences in car ownership during ten years between thinly populated areas, areas in the countryside and urban areas is studied.

Statistics of occupational injuries show that bricklayers are among the most exposed, with heavy lifting by far the most common cause of long-term sick leave. Prefabricated brick beams create yet another risk of injuries that can be prevented by auxiliary equipment or alternative solutions. From articles, interviews with masons and from a survey carried out in conjunction with this report, it appears that there are frequently difficulties in the use of available means for lifting and handling. Previous studies on the subject of transverse reinforcement in masonry beams indicate a viable method for bridging large openings in masonry walls. This bachelor thesis delves into whether the idea could be realized in today's brick construction with a view to improving occupational health and safety.

Det finns en problematik i övergången för svenska studenter mellan gymnasiet och högskolan. En faktor i den problematiken är att bevis och bevisföring hanteras på olika sätt på de olika utbildningsnivåerna. Dessutom är forskning kring hur läroböcker hanterar bevis och bevisföring begränsad. I denna studie undersöks två vanliga läroböcker på gymnasiet med avseende på bevis och bevisföring. Utifrån de i ämnesplanen befintliga ämnesområdena granskas teoriavsnitten i läroböckerna med fokus på bevis och bevisföring.

The purpose of this thesis was to determine the tv-show Efterlyst?s (Wanted)effects on viewers when it comes to how crime, criminals and victims are portrayed in the show. In order to achieve the purpose of our the study, both  quantitative and  qualitative approaches were used We compared the image Efterlyst gives of crime, criminals and victims to statistical information from The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention and The Central Bureau of Statistiscs. By using focus-groups we also studied how Efterlyst portrays, in the season of 2009, and how it may have affected its viewers. Our conclusion was that there are important differences between how Efterlyst portrays crime and the image of crime the statistics gives.

Several studies have investigated the relationship between different measures of innovative activity, such as patent statistics and R&D expenditures and some have looked deeper into the differences between large and small firms regarding number of patents issued per employee or per R&D dollar. In this paper, the objective is to find out if there are any indications of a barrier to entry (due to economical factors, lack of knowledge etc) for small firms to get into the field of patent handling. The approach is to first set up a hypothesis based on some simple assumptions about how firms would make decisions about whether to apply for a patent or not and thereafter use econometric methods in an empirical investigation. The data used for this study are figures on number of employees, number of patents granted and R&D expenditures for the Swedish firms in the pulp and paper industry. The main conclusion is that, based on the analysis of the data from this rather limited group of firms, no such barrier can be seen..
