The Kverneland Ecomat and The Ecomat Seeder has been tested in three different field studies. All the studies were conducted on soils with different clay content during 2005 in Säby outside Uppsala. In one of the trial spring ploughing with the Ecomat and spring ploughing and seeding with Ecomat Seeder were compared with conventional autumn mouldboard ploughing and spring mouldboard ploughing to conventional depth (22-23 cm). In this study the quality of the seedbed, the number of emerged plants and weeds, the pentration resistance and the yield were examined. Shallow spring ploughing (10 cm) with the Kverneland Ecomat has shown to be a good alternative to conventional autumn ploughing when growing spring crops. During the season 2005 tilling with the Ecomat resulted in a higher yield than conventional ploughing. In 2002-2005 the average yield for shallow spring ploughing was 4 percent higher than after conventional autumn mouldboard ploughing and 10 percent higher than after spring mouldboard ploughing to conventional depth (22-23 cm). In the other two studies, ploughing to different depth in the autumn with the Ecomat was compared with conventional mouldboard ploughing and stubble discing.

In Northen Bungoma, Western province ? Kenya, the Vi-Agroforestry Project (VI-AFP) has introduced a new project that covers 7000 households. To succeed with the project, a water resources protection project, agroforestry methods will be implemented to secure the water quality of the area. In this thesis a foundation is laid for future follow-up studies of land cover and land use of this area. To carry out this study an existing method from a cooperation between VIAFP and Dalarnas University (HDa) has been implemented.

Scania Top Team is a competition where the best mechanics in the world are competing against each other. In 2011, the world final was recorded and this material is now used to see which problem solving strategies these top of the line teams are using to solve the realistic problems assembled in front of them. To help them, the mechanics are allowed to use two of Scanias IT-systems: Scania Multi and Scania Diagnose and Programmer 3. This report consists of two parts. The first part is the development of a method to analyze the recorded material.

In this paper the topic of 4G is examined. The investigation is conducted with use of a qualitative methodand an inductive approach. The question to be answered is what motivate and justify that 4G is put intooperation from different perspectives. The study is based upon secondary sources, such as literature studies,as well as an empirical data collection from two interview studies. The reusults obtained, which motivateand justify the introduction of 4G technology, is that it is necessary in order to meet future communicationneeds.

A case study of professional interaction designers' usage of design materials was conducted. Five interviews were performed in order to gain insight in the systems used by designers, how these work, how they collaborate within them, and what they think of recent research about them. Design studios allow collaboration for several users at once. Digital material (mockups, pictures, etc.) are commonly used, but needs to be made analog, e.g. printed, to be usable in the design studio environment.

This master?s thesis investigates in which ways students seek out and access their textbooks and how they use their university?s library in this process. Data is collected through interviews from six students several semesters into their studies at the University of Stockholm. For the interviews two students each were selected from the fields of law, economics and humanities. The empirical findings were analyzed using T.D Wilson?s model of information behavior (1997).

This paper is to identify and analyze a new trend which we believehas taken off, based on qualitative interviews and analysis of three productions which we have been involved in during a practiceperiod of two months with a production company in Stockholm. AbstractThe purpose of my study was to examine how four social studies teachers in upper secondary school interprets the democratic educational mission and core values, and if they believe that the same values are tools to influence the students' democratic approach and if they think it is possible. It is also the study's minor purpose to make an analysis of my findings and previous research in the area to explain any similarities or differences in the social studies teacher's interpretation and practice of the democratic educational mission and core values. I used qualitative semi-structured interviews as a method in which the interview questions were based on my research questions. The two criteria I had for my sample of respondents was that there would be social studies teacher at a upper secondary school and that I wanted to have two of each sex. Their interpretation and how they think they practice the democratic educational mission and core values are similar.

Läroplanen för förskolan Lpfö 98 (rev 2010) trycker på att förskolan ska lägga stor vikt vid att stimulera varje barns språkutveckling och med hjälp av olika uttrycksformer främja barns utveckling och lärande. Förskolelärarens roll är att stimulera och utmana barnet i en innehållsrik och inbjudande miljö. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur fyra förskolelärare resonerar gällande kommunikation med barn i yngre åldrar på förskolan. Vi har utfört en kvalitativ fallstudie som innehåller strukturerade intervjuer. Våra intervjuer genomfördes på två förskolor i två olika kommuner i Sverige där fyra förskolelärare tillfrågades.

This is a paper about the effects from smoldering fire on lithic objects from an archaeological view. The introduction gives the background to this paper, a short orientation to forest wildfires and why the work is limited to: flint, quartz, quartzite and slate. Material and methods describes the stone materials and the setup that was used in the temperature logged tests with three replications for each type of material. The fuel in the burnings was peat on a bottom of sand. Flint showed a more drastic effect from heat compared with the other materials. Slate seems to have greater tendencies to change to darker colour and luster at lower temperatures than the other materials.

Personer som står inför att välja material vid en ny- eller ombyggnad har otroligt mycket att välja emellan. Att göra ett bra val kan innebära olika saker, men för mig är ett bra val att välja ett material som gör så lite skada på vår natur och på oss människor som möjligt. Skada innefattar vanliga fysiska skador och påverkningar, men även dåliga materialval som leder till onödiga kostnader. Att välja ett material som måste underhållas ofta, eller repareras och bytas ut tidigt, är ett dåligt val. Går det sen inte att återanvända eller återvinna grundmaterialet på nytt är det ännu sämre.I min undersökning har jag tittat på fasadmaterial, takmaterial, färger, fönster och dörrar.

Denna uppsats bygger på en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning med fem informanter. Syftet med studien var att undersöka ett antal gymnasielärares syn på användning av läroboksmaterial och autentiskt material i deras engelskundervisning. Fyra av fem informanter i denna undersökning såg autenticitet som en aspekt av texten. Majoriteten av informanterna ansåg vidare att autentiska texter är skapade för andra sammanhang än undervisning. Samtliga informanter föredrog att arbeta med autentiska texter och majoriteten använde en större andel autentiska texter än lärobokstexter samt ansåg att det autentiska materialet bättre förbereder elever för att läsa riktiga texter.

During the last decade of the twentieth century both ?manhood? and gender studies seems to have undergone changes. With the field of masculinity and the critical studies of men, added as ?subsections? of broader gender studies, new knowledge has been produced to better grasp the production of gender and power relations of patriarchy. During the same decade as the ?metrosexual? first appeared of the urban stage, acts of homophobia and attitudes towards ?manhood? seems to have changed.

Det bästa vore om vimänniskor enbart använde oss av material som förbrukadesi samma takt som naturen kan återställa dei.Detta designprojekt fokuserar på Bois Durci, pådess tillverkning och användning. Materialet ärgjort av blod och sågspån och var tillgängligt på1800-1900-talet och försvann när bakeliten kom. Detsägs att materialet är bakelitens fader. I arbetet harjag samarbetat med ett företag från Torsåker i centralaSverige och arbetet utefter deras koncept somgrundar sig i att enbart använda sig av råvaror inomen femmilsradie.Arbetet har utgått från frågeställningen ?Kan BoisDurci tillverkas inom en femmilsradie och hur kanjag som designer ta mig an materialet?? Att användasig av en femmilsradie med utgångspunkten frånTorsåker var inte ett problem, det var enkelt att få tagi både blod och sågspån.
