The objective of this study is to investigate a new pedagogical material called 4DFrame, how it is experienced by informants and how suitable it is in education - in particular mathematics. Socioculturalperspective has a central role in this study when students are given opportunities for linguistic and social interaction during the experiment with the new pedagogical material. The methodology for this study has been visits, interviews, and observations. The study reveals that there are different views on the didactic potential for mathematics of the new teaching material, though no conclusions can be drawn regarding whether this material is more or less suitable in teaching since no research have been found that compares this with other pedagogical materials. Both national and international studies show the need to find alternative and better ways to make mathematic education meaningful.

Båtindustrin är en konservativ bransh och inredningar baserade på exklusiva ädeträarter från regnskogen har historiskt sett varit mycket populära. Dessa material är även idag populära men på grund av den ökande kunskapen om miljöpåverkningar har fler kunder blivit accepterande av alternativa material. Detta medför att båtproducenter nu kan lansera nya ersättande material med bättre miljöegenskaper.Denna fakta bas är grunden till detta examensarbete som handlade om att utveckla och formge en nya mer miljövänlig båtinredning baserad på alternativa material.

To gain the long-term confidence of customers, not only the best businesses, but also the best supply chains are required.Volvo Cars is experiencing a changing competitive situation and their retailers are having trouble stocking the right spare parts. Shorter product life cycles and the growth of Volvo?s product program result in an increase in the number of spare parts to be stocked. In order to adapt to market trends and meet customer demands, Volvo has developed the LDC model, establishing a number of regional warehouses in strategic locations in Sweden, de-signed to supply spare parts to the regions? retailers through so-called Vendor-Managed In-ventory (VMI).The purpose of the study is to examine Volvo personbilar Sverige?s (VPS) motivation for a modified customer-service strategy through LDC.

This paper concerns the treatment of people at execution places and it is focusing on Gotland and the execution place called Galgberget. The material in the paper comes from Galgberget and a gallow in Denmark called Slots Bjergby. Together with this the laws of Gotland during the medieval and later periods are discussed and also how the archaeological material (especially the buttons) found on the excavation site can help to understand the people buried on the gallow site. The result of the analysis shows that the laws and the material found on the excavation site often tells different things. The punishments are often softer then what the law says.

To maintain production in high salaries countries and strength in competition against other companies, it is today more important than ever to maximize production, offer a wide spectra of products and be able to deliver on the customers desire of shorter and shorter delivery time. Flexible production and short time spent on die changes is vital to achieve these desires. The interest for die changeover time reduction grew in the same pace as the demand for increased product variety grew. SMED as a method of reducing time spent on die changeovers were developed in between 1950-1970, by the Japanese Shigeo Shingo.The purpose of this thesis work has been to investigate the result of SMED in a die casting facility, and compare the result from it with the result considering time spent on die changeovers when investing in new equipment. The goal is to implement a thorough investigation by using the SMED method at Tenhults Pressgjuteri AB and make a brochure that have to be simple to understand, in purpose to draw interest to the advantages of using SMED as a method.Commissioned by the Swedish foundry association Swecast, the work has been carried out by studying die changeovers at Tenhults Pressgjuteri AB, where filming and interviews with the operators have been included in the analysis.

High quality within a Lean production system begins with standardised work, which creates stable processes able to generate predictable output. If nonconformity from the standard procedures occurs, routines are needed to analyse, correct and prevent the nonconformity from occurring again. In that way, the nonconformity can be a trigger for continuous improvements toward more stable processes. In takted production lines, where the operator follows a standard sequence with tasks set to be completed within the takt time, a nonconformity leads to downtime in the operator?s sequence, and no value is added.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på Aven Rabbalshede AB i syfte att kartlägga företagets dåvarande situation i dess interna logistikflöde, för att sedan lägga fram förbättringsförslag som kan implementeras för att förbättra detta flöde. Målet var att reducera trucktrafiken i fabriken med minst tio procent.Aven Rabbalshede AB är ett tillverkningsföretag av lastpallar, träemballage, transportstöd och lådor. Företaget är en del av Avenkoncernen som är en av Skandinaviens ledande tillverkare av lastpallar och träemballage. Aven Rabbalshede AB är den största enheten inom koncernen med cirka 55 anställda och en produktion på cirka 1,3 miljoner lastpallar per år. Företaget hade en bristande struktur och systematik över truckflödet och materialhanteringen vilket har inneburit stora och många mellanlager samt andra svårigheter.Examensarbetet innebar att först och främst kartlägga vad respektive truck gjorde under en arbetsdag för att kunna analysera hur dåvarande situation såg ut.

Vi har utgått ifrån det sociokulturella och  fenomenografiska  perspektivet i vår studie. Vår studie har behandlat vilket material som finns och används på respektive förskolor i arbetet med matematiken.  Vi har även undersökt på vilket sätt materialet används av lärarna och av barnen samt om det finns en  matematisk  miljö  på  förskolorna,  och  i  så  fall, hur  den  kommer  till uttryck.   Syftet   med  vår  studie   var  att   ta   reda   på   användningen   av matematikmaterialet  på  förskolor  som  arbetar  utifrån  Montessori  inriktad pedagogik och Reggio Emilia inspirerad pedagogik. Vi har även tagit reda på pedagogers tankar bakom matematikmaterial. Studien har inte som syfte att jämföra de olika pedagogikernas användning av material. Vårt empiriska insamlande  material  har  tagits  fram  via  intervjuer  och  observationer.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka hur lärare arbetar med laborativt material samt problemlösning i matematik och när de tar in detta i sin undervisning. Vi avser även undersökavad högpresterande och lågpresterande elever har för uppfattningar kring dessa områden i matematik, samt vad lärarna tror att dessa elevgrupper har för uppfattningar om laborativt material och problemlösning.För att få reda på dessa frågeställningar har vi använt oss av strukturerade intervjuer med 15 högpresterande och 15 lågpresterande elever samt kvalitativa intervjuer med fem lärare.Resultatet av denna undersökning visar att laborativt material är något som mestadels används som hjälpmedel till lågpresterande elever. Problemlösning anses stimulera högpresterande elevers intresse för matematik i större omfattning, än de lågpresterandes.Problemlösningsuppgifterna anpassas sällan till elevernas nivå och mestadels tas dessa uppgifter från elevernas matematikböcker. Laborativt material ses som accepterat att använda blandklasskamraterna enligt de intervjuade eleverna, de flesta anser även att det skulle vara eller är roligt att använda laborativt material..

Background: The parent has a natural presence in today?s child health care and hospital treatment. The transition from home to a care institution has an impact on the parent. Previous research shows that over time the conditions and the parent?s role in child and youth health care have changed extensively.

The intention of this study was to examine the interaction between authorities. More specifically it had a purpose to look at the ongoing cooperation between social workers and staff of special homes of closed institutional youth care. The sanction system for young offenders? reform of 1999 where young people between the ages of 15-17 who have committed serious crimes, can be sentenced to secure institutional treatment instead of prison, aims to counteract the harm which can result from a stay in prison. The social welfare board in the young person´s local authority and the national board of institutional care shall cooperate during the youth?s placement at the special home of closed institutional youth care.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka ifall barn har inflytande över sin miljö och sitt material i verksamheten samt vilket perspektiv pedagogerna utgår från vid planering av miljön. Studien har utgått från följande frågeställningar: Anser barnen att de har inflytande över sin miljö och sitt material på förskolan, och i så fall hur tar detta sig uttryck? Vilket perspektiv ligger till grund för pedagogernas utformning av miljön i verksamheten? För att få svar på mina frågor har jag använt mig av en kvalitativ studie med semi-strukturerade intervjuer med intervjuguide, strukturerade intervjuer med intervjuformulär samt dokumentation i form av bilder. Slutresultatet visar att det finns en vilja och önskan hos barnen att bestämma tillsammans med pedagogerna, att ha inflytande över miljö och material. Den faktorn som främst påverkar barns inflytande är det pedagogiska förhållningssättet hos pedagogerna, deras intentioner kan både vara stödjande och begränsande för barns inflytande..

AbstractEmbla 5 is an office building which has done a large improvement. The clients of this building has made an order of WSP and the student Anders Kempe to calculate the use of energy for the building, and after that result proposing further measures which can decrease the energy use of Embla 5.The ground for this report is when calculation of the present energy use of the building is stated. To make that information of a number of parameters such as envelope, the heating system and ventilation has been located and set in to the simulation program IDA ICE which calculate the energy use.To improve the energy use further this project has been concentrated to change the system of ventilation. Today the ventilation system is of the kind CAV (constant air volume) and the air flow is dimensioned for after recommendations from BBR and Arbetsmiljöverket in the office spaces. Consider that Embla 5  is an office building where the people only staying for 8-10 hours/day so was the ide to see how much energy saving if the air flow is reduced the time people not being in the building.

Around year 2004, a new service was introduced on the Swedish housing market with the purpose of increasing the sell price, namely homestaging. Homestaging means that a home gets in order before a open house, for example by removing personal affections or the leasing of new furniture. The phenomenon originates from the United States, where it has existed for several decades.Most components, but not all, that is included in the homestaging concept is tax-deductible and this has lead to several questions around the law and foremost within tax law. To elucidate this complexity of problems around the right to deduction for homestaging, the Swedish tax agency, Skatteverket, has formulated a letter stating the authority?s attitude towards the phenomenon.
