Within today?s organizations there is continual development work to increase efficiency and the power to compete at the market. Production development with focus on continual improvements constitutes an important part of the daily work within a lot of organizations today.The purpose of this study is to contribute to a part of the development process that Volvo Penta factory in Vara has in mind. A description of the current situation was compiled by mapping the internal runnings and material flow throughout the factory. A new suggestion for a layout and a comparison with the current situation will assist with creating a factual basis for the development of a new goods reception.A study was made where the volumes and the quantity of the daily arrival goods were settled.

This thesis has focused on digital born personal archives; how they are different from analog paper archives and possible ways to overbridge these differences. It is also studied how archivists and librarians are dealing with digital archives, what they think about new proactive solutions when collecting private papers and collections and positive and negative effects with this way to work. The thesis is delimitated to only private collections and digital created material. It do not concern digitized material or electronic documents in government or business organizations.The challenges in digital curation and administration are discussed in aspect of the Records Continuum Model. The empirical material is also put in relation to research in Personal Information Management and identity theory.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the crisis communication was perceived between SAS, massmedia and citizens during the volcano crisis in 2010. The questions posed are: - How did the communication between SAS, media and citizens function during the crisis? - How did senders, intermediaries and beneficiaries experience the information and communication during the crisis? - How important was the internet communication for SAS, media and citizens during the crisis?The collected material consists of interviews and desktop research of material from Internet.The study shows that the communication between SAS, the media and citizens worked well on the social medias but was weaker in all other mediachannels. SAS was also weak in following up information received by media and travelers, and they therefore they had a different picture of the situation during the crisis. SAS thought that the communication worked fine between the parties involved.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att undersöka vilka faktorer som gör teknisk kommunikation tillgänglig och lättförståelig. Det skulle leda fram till en läsvärd lathund för användare av ett nytt CMS-system. Arbetet har genomförts i samarbete med Telia, som är inne i ett förändringsarbete gällande sina informationssystem. De ska införa ett nytt så kallat PIM-system (Product Information Management), som ska innefatta ovan nämnda CMS-system och kommer innebära ett förändrat arbetssätt och nya arbetsuppgifter för min berörda målgrupp. För att lösa problemet har jag tagit hjälp av en fokusgrupp och gjort en webbenkät. Jag har ställt mig frågor om vad teknisk kommunikation kan bidra med vid framtagning av ett instruerande material, samt i vilka syften användarna kan tänkas läsa den typen av material. Med hjälp av teorier och ovanstående metoder producerade jag ett förslag på hur lathunden kan se ut. Jag testade också förslaget på målgruppen för att få deras åsikter, i syfte att förbättra slutresultatet..

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the process of technology sourcing within firms active in the CRT-market. The primary focus of the study is the motives, risks and problems associated with technology sourcing, to construct key learnings for organisations consider undertaking this way to access research and development or those organisations that are already operating in the CRTmarket. Method: As method has abduction been used. The empiric material of the thesis is based on qualitative research in form of interviews in a conversational manner. For correct interpretation and understanding a hermeneutics approach has been used.

The creation of Region Skåne, and the transfer of the development responsibility from the national administrative country board (Länsstyrelsen) has given the state new challenges. New structures have grown between Region and State, and also between different municipalities. These can be characterized as Policy-networks, and the goal of this study is to analyze the planning process of the regional infrastructure with these theories.This is a qualitative study of the infrastructure process in Skåne, and the actors that acts within this process. It has been studied with the eyes of the theories of Governance and Policy-networks. The main method to collect material has been through interviews with different actors within the process, and very little written material has been used.

A study has been performed that investigates the variation of iron content in groundwater.The study was initiated by Midvatten AB, which noticed that the iron content in groundwater samples can vary greatly over small distances. The purpose of this study was to geochemically and geohydrologically determine the factors that influence the content of iron and manganese in groundwater from a selection of eskers in Dalarna, and determine how to best sample groundwater with the method used by Midvatten AB. An evaluation was made of how the vertical variation in soil material, water composition, pumping time and pipe material affects the content of iron in groundwater. Piper diagrams were used to study the relationship between the chemical composition of the groundwater and the content of iron and manganese in groundwater samples from the studied areas. The groundwater from the studied areas was then classified in the Piper diagrams, according to the content of the major ions.

Miljöförstöringen håller på att få allt för stora proportioner, vilket genom bland annat växthuseffekten leder till att vår planet snart är obeboelig för människan.Byggbranschens andel i miljöförstöringen är onödigt stor genom transporter, energianvändning, maskinanvändning och miljömässigt dåliga material.Vår frågeställning är: går det att ersätta de konventionella byggmaterialen med ekologiska sådana? JM vill även få beprövat om de är så bra, miljömässigt, som de tror. Detta ska besvaras genom en analys av tre ekologiska material som sedan jämförs med konventionella material för samma funktion.Newbeam är ett material som planeras gå i produktion till hösten 2007. Det består av autoklaverad aspflis och ligninbaserat lim som pressas till profilerade balkar i önskad form. Denna produkt har i media benämnts ?stålbalk av trä? på grund av sin höga hållfasthet.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of activities, flows and waste in a company's production process. By performing a value stream analysis, non-value adding activities are identified in a production process and then the suggested improvements that can reduce lead times will be stated. The value-stream mapping identifies the flow of information and the flow of material in a production process and this provides the basis for the identification of non-value adding activities.We conducted the study at Lammhults Möbel AB in Lammhult Sweden, where the production flow of Spira-21 has been investigated. This to identify any non-value adding activities that affect the flow negative and consumes time and money in a non-value adding way.A reasonable approach for the project was taken by studying the methodologies and theories. We conducted interviews and site surveys at Lammhults Möbel AB where the flow of information and material in the production process were investigated.

I tidigare forskning har det framkommit att reglering av miljö och material får konsekvenser för barnen. Konsekvenserna kan vara att kreativitet och lek får stå tillbaka för normer och regler rörande miljön och hur den är planerad. Barnsynen och tidigare erfarenheter som förskollärare har, påverkar den pedagogiska inomhusmiljöns utformning. Materialet som finns tillgängligt är det material som barnen förväntas kunna hantera. Barnets  dentitetsskapande påverkas även av den miljö som barnet vistas i på förskolan.

Under de senaste två decennierna har flertalet tidningar bytt format. Det stora broadsheetformatet byts ut mot det mindre tabloidformatet. Även antalet nyheter på inrikessidorna under perioden har räknats.

This essay concerns the Celts during the Iron Age, and their ritual practice in human sacrifice. The method applied is an eclectic historic-critic reading of the few classical sources that exist together with archeological material and scholars conclusions of literal sources and archeological material. The hypothesis is that human sacrifice in the Celtic realm not is to be seen as a primitive act of violence, but that it filled a social function to preserve society and the Celtic way of life.The question this essay strives to answer is Which function/s do human sacrifice fill in a Celtic context during the Iron Age? The question is analysed with the aid of Radcliffe-Brown?s and Catherine Bell?s theories on ritual, as well as Malcolm Chapman?s postmodern ideas of the conception of the Celtic. The conclusion of the essay is that the prime functions of Celtic human sacrifice are to preserve society and the Celtic social way of life, combined with an aim to eliminate disturbing elements in that same society, such as crime and individuals who did not fit in to the social community..

To be competitive in the corporate climate of today it is important to have effective logistic activities. A common resource within the internal logistics is forklift trucks, which are used to lift and transport material. It becomes more and more important to decide whether to buy, lease or rent the forklifts to obtain an optimal economic situation. Many companies have issues with internal pricing. It is difficult to price products and services correctly. It is common to price the overall instead of what it really costs.The purpose of the thesis is to present a model for the acquisition of forklifts for internal logistic operations, regarding financing and internal pricing, to obtain economic effectiveness and an optimal forklift fleet size. The study focused on a specific research question, and for this purpose interviews with experts were held, observations were made and a literature study was done.
