This report is a master thesis performed by Adam Lundin at the company Sandvik Coromants production facility in Gimo. The work started in January 2013 and went on for the duration of 20 weeks, which is equivalent to 30 hp. The project was executed at the department GVR10. The scope of the project was to create a base for improvements in the purchasing process of direct material to the production. The background to the project was that the centralized purchasing department has gone through changes and decision was taken to decentralize the purchasing of direct material to Gimo.

The thesis Den ?fria? rörligheten aims to give deeper knowledge to the notion of social sustainable mobility. My previous knowledge within the subject is focused around mobility being biased and therefore gaining particular groups of actors within society and leaving others worse off. Therefore I chose to do a critical analysis of social sustainable mobility and more precisely show which problems that exist and why.To start with, I have created a framework for social sustainable mobility, from which I have looked at the empirical material. The general empirical material is mostly based on mobility in Sweden also a more specific study is made of the Öresundregion.

At Forsmark nuclear power plant a new course called "education in everyday safety" has been started in an attempt to improve the safety culture. The goal is to spread the of expectations and approach the maintenance management has set, to all employees working at the plants. During the course, theory is mixed with practical tasks to reach a common view how work should be done to achieve safety for the plant and the people that work there.The practical tasks are done inside "maintenance simulators". They are built inside 20 ft containers which contains two dummy pipe systems. On the pipe systems some valves, a flow meter and a pump has been installed.

The aim of this study was to find out if hypertext structure has any relevance for the efficiency of information retrieval. An experiment, in which three variants of hypertext structure were compared, was carried out in the autumn of 1998. Three websites with different structures were constructed for this purpose: a sequential version, a hierarchical version and a webcluster version. 44 subjects, all students at the University of Lund, were randomly divided into three groups. Subjects were requiered to answer a number of questions using one of the three versions.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete har varit att undersöka hur pedagoger kan arbeta kring miljö och material i samlingssituationer och hur/ om de använder sig av Lpfö 98 i sitt planerande. För att kunna göra denna undersökning har jag använt mig av en kvalitativ metod där jag inkluderat både intervjuer och observationer. Jag har valt att använda mig av det sociokulturella perspektivet med en fördjupning i Vygotskijs teorier för att kunna analysera mitt ämne. För att få andra aspekter har jag även använt differentierade teorier för att sedan kunna jämföra teori med praktik.I resultatet framkommer att teori och praktik i vissa fall överrensstämmer. Resultatet gällande miljö och material visar på många liknelser mellan teori och praktik.

This report is a documentation of the workflow and the result of a project carried out by twostudents from the Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with a company. The report isstructured in a chronological order and describes the methods and systems developed in theworkflow. The report shows how the project evolved from a study phase to the various proposals onthe concept solutions.The project aims to develop a systematic way of bonding two different kind of cardboard under fiveminutes. By conducting a general study about glue and its different forms it was possible to obtain abroad knowledge, which helped to choose the right substances to later use in testing on the differentcardboard materials in question. Glues's survey resulted in a list of different substances that wererelevant to the project.

Cargotec Sweden AB i Hudiksvall konstruerar och producerar lyftkranar för skogsindustrin samt styckegodshantering och specialbyggda kranar för olika ändamål. Konstruktionsavdelningen jobbar kontinuerligt med att vidareutveckla befintliga kranmodeller. Produktionsanläggningen är den största för lastbilskranar inom koncernen. Kranarna tillverkas till största del i stål av olika hållfasthet. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka vilka av de icke lyftande delarna hos Cargotecs styckegodskranar HIAB av modellerna 211 till 288 som kan tjäna mest på att konstrueras i ett alternativt material. Då andra material används måste alternativa tillverkningsmetoder och omkonstruering vara en del av arbetet, detta för att vara säker på att produkten går att förverkliga.  För att ta reda på vilka detaljer som var lämpliga att vidareutveckla utfördes en förundersökning där olika detaljer som kunde vara lämpliga att konstruera i annat material utvärderades. Utifrån förundersökningen framkom två detaljer, ramen till elektronik- och hydraulikstyrning samt bussningar till utskjutskolvarna.

The aim of this thesis is to explore the job satisfaction of librarians and try to nuance stereotypes, which the public has and which still exist in massmedia concerning librarians and their work. The study is qualitative and based mainly on semistructured interviews with ten libraries born between 1937s and 1973s of which eight are women and two men. Furthermore, I have divided them into two groups according to age in order to see if there are differencies between the older and the younger concerning job satisfaction. In addition, I have used participant observation to some extent. My assumption is that job satisfaction is effected both by individual factors and environmental factors at work.

The aim of this study is to investigate the public libraries use of their websites in their marketing. Our study is based on the websites of 60 public libraries. The libraries are chosen because of their geographical location in three different provinces? Skåne in the south, Östergötland in the middle and Norrbotten in the north. These three choices enable us to cover densely as well as thinly populated areas, the agricultural district, the woodland and cities of various sizes.

 SAMMANFATTNINGArbetets syfte var att undersöka vilka faktorer det är som påverkar lärare att använda eller inte använda laborativt material i sin matematikundervisning i förskoleklass till och med årskurs 3.Laborativ matematik innebär i detta arbete matematiklektioner där lärare och elever tar hjälp av någon form av konkret material, både vardagsmaterial och pedagogiskt material för att förstå och lösa problem inom ämnesområdet matematik.Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av enkäter till elva lärare i förskoleklass till årskurs 3 på tre olika skolor i en och samma kommun.Resultatet visar att samtliga av de lärare som svarade, alltid eller nästan alltid använder laborativt material i sin matematikundervisning, men inom vilka matematiska områden detta sker är varierande.Varför lärare i denna undersökning använder laborativt material eller inte på en lektion påverkas inte av vilken utbildning de har eller om de har någon vidareutbildning i matematik och inte heller av hur länge lärarna har undervisat, utan detta beror enligt lärarna själva på andra faktorer så som: elevens förståelse, tron på metoden, intresse/attityd hos lärare och elevers, tid/lektionens längd och gruppstorlek.Knappt ¾ av lärarna har deltagit i någon form av vidareutbildning i matematik. Alla lärarna som svarade ansåg dock att det laborativa materialet är självklart och nödvändigt för att eleverna ska få en djupare förståelse, då materialet visuellt kan konkretisera detabstrakta i matematiken. Lärarna ansåg också att det laborativa materialet bidrar till att eleverna lär med fler sinnen och att detta i sin tur gör att kunskapen fastnar lättare, matematiken blir även roligare. .

This report emphasizes the importance of seeing a university as a company that offers a service. It isimportant to see the different quality dimensions that distinguish a service. The customer-focused planninghas also set the structure of this degree project.The marketing investigation is based on recruit questionnaires and interviews with secondary schoolstudents. The questionnaires show that the catalogue still reaches out with most information despiteconstant increase of information search at the Internet. The students seem to prefer University ofKristianstad´s catalogue front.The competition analysis is based on telephone interviews and information material sent from theother universities.

Abstract: In this Master's thesis our aim is to study the situation and process regarding the decision to use outsourcing of the media acquisition function in a Swedish public library. By using New institutional theory, focusing on ways of organising and values in the organisation we are able to analyse this phenomenon. Skot-Hansens theory about three different culture political argumentation schemes, humanistic, sociological and instrumental (or market oriented), gives us the opportunity to place statements and facts into a functional theoretical context. The market oriented scheme is further clarified with the concept of New Public Management. The role of values in the institution, regarding aims and goals is stressed.

The explosion of new digital media puts pressure for developments within copyright law both in Sweden and internationally. These developments are taking place on two different international areas: (1) WIPO which is a part of the UN family and (2) the EU where a new directive on copyright law is being prepared and probably implemented during 2001. The aim of this thesis is twofold: (1) to study which considerations libraries must make when handling the new digital media both under today's copyright laws and under those which are being developed internationally. (2) What will be the consequences, for Swedish libraries, if the new EU-directive on copyright law is implemented in Sweden? By analysing current copyright laws, international treaties and the proposal for a new EU-directive as well as the national debate the thesis brings attention to a number of central issues for libraries.

Background: With an increased global market, where companies seek capital abroad, the demand for a more uniform accounting standard has been raised. This uniform accounting standard is not yet available, differences between accounting standards still exists. Several Swedish companies seek risk capital in the USA and some are part of a concern that is listed on the American stock exchange. This means that the Securities and Exchange Commission requires the companies to do a reconciliation to US GAAP on those items that are considered material. This can be an extensive work for the companies if the knowledge about the differences between Swedish GAAP and US GAAP does not exist.

Denna studie har som syfte att synliggöra hur sjukvårdspersonal uppfattar missbrukare. För att ta del av våra informanters uppfattningar har vi utfört kvalitativa intervjuer för att generera ett material som är grund för visare analys. Vidare har en fenomenografisk ansats använts för att analysera vårt material. Teoriernagenuskontraktetochstigmahar använts för att analysera och vidare diskutera materialet, men även tidigare forskning rörande missbrukande individer . En viktig slutsats i studien är hur informanternas egna uppfattningar påverkar deras inställning..
