The purpose of this research was to examine what motivates and influences an individual to invest in a project or company through equity-based crowdfunding. The intention was therefore to identify internal and external motivation factors and examine how external social factors such as the Internet, other individuals? investment decisions and interaction in social groups affect an individual when he or she invests through equity-based crowdfunding. The results showed that both internal and external motivation factors are important components of an investment through equity-based crowdfunding. External motivators proved to be for example yields and helping entrepreneurs.

The purpose of this report is to come up with possible improvement suggestions to the distribution central at Götene Stål & Verktygs AB (GSV). GSV is a wholesale dealer located in Götene. The company doesn?t produce anything it self, it buys in products and sells them to customers.The distribution central at GSV is the place where the products comes in and gets ready to deliver.To come up with possible improvement suggestions we started with process mapping over the main process and the distribution centre process. The main process here is from the point where the customer gives GSV an order to the point where GSV deliver the order.Our result shows that the major problem in the distribution central at GSV is the big volume differences in the incoming goods.

Migration and giving birth are crucial decisions for animals during their life cycle, which may have lasting consequences on their population demography and fitness. Migration can entail a variety of possible effects for an individual, such as access to high quality food and reduced risk for predation. The moose (Alces alces) in northern Sweden is partially migratory and moose females are known to give birth to one or two calves. The synchrony between time of calving and timing of migration has not been compared before, especially in terms of energy maximizing and time minimizing perspectives, which may provide vital cues for fitness benefits of migration. I investigated effect of timing of birth and individual life history on distance, timing, stopovers and duration of 190 individually marked female moose that have been tracked for multiple years in ten different areas in northern Sweden.

Syftet med denna studie var att belysa hur viktig nutritionen är för patienter med diagnosen KOL (Kronisk Obstruktiv Lungsjukdom). Författarna ville även visa på enkla metoder för sjuksköterskan att bedöma nutritionsstatus för att förebygga malnutrition hos dessa patienter. Denna studie är en systematisk litteraturstudie där författarna använt sig av databaserna ELIN@Dalarna, CINAHL, Blackwell Synergy och SWEMED+ för att söka vetenskapliga artiklar. Sökorden som användes i olika kombinationer var: COPD, nutrition, malnutrition, undernutritioned, nutritionalstatus, nutritional supplement, BMI, energy expenditure, caring och nursing. Resultatet visade att nutritionen är av central betydelse i behandlingen av KOL patienter där sjuksköterskan har en viktig roll i samarbetet med andra yrkeskategorier såsom läkare, dietist, sjukgymnast, arbetsterapeut, kurator och psykolog.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Dagens stillasittande livsstil med ökat intag av energigivande ämnen resulterar i ett konstant anabolt hormonellt påslag. Detta leder till ökad övervikt och andra välfärdssjukdomar. Det rekommenderas att individer håller sig till en hög måltidsfrekvens med jämna mellanrum under dagen. Detta har börjat ifrågasättas med konkurrerande alternativ som involverar en tidigare samhällslivsstil så långt som 10 000 år sedan, då måltidsfrekvensen inte kunde planeras på samma sätt som idag.Syfte: Syftet är att under sju veckor undersöka effekten av två stycken veckovisa 24-timmars periodiska förbud mot intag av energigivande ämnen, med implementering av fysisk styrketräning och dess effekt på lean body mass (LBM) och fettvikt hos yngre individer.Metod: Två separata 24-timmars perioder av fasta i samband med tre separata styrketräningstillfällen genomfördes per vecka under sju veckor. Kroppsmått gällande kroppsfett i procent, fettvikt i kilogram (kg), kroppsdimensioner i centimeter (cm), LBM och total kroppsvikt i kg togs innan och efter studiens genomförande.

The aim of this paper was to study how Instagram forms a space for the creation and development of religious and spiritual beliefs. For this purpose, Instagram updates from five women with yoga oriented Instagram accounts have been analyzed in relation to two theories: Paul Heelas? och Linda Woodhead?s theory of a spiritual revolution and Heidi Campbell?s theory of networked religion.The aim of the study was to explore how these women presented themselves in their Instagram flow and what part religion and spirituality had in their presentations.

The purpose of this master thesis was to study the water system for mechanically cleaned water at Skärblacka mill, in order to find and evaluate possibilities of using energy more efficiently. The thesis also includes an evaluation of the software tool ?Pumpanalys?Skärblacka mill produces pulp and paper. The large amount of water required is cleaned mechanically through filters and called mechanically cleaned water (MR0). The MR0 water is pumped out to the factory by four crude water pumps.

Norconsult AB has developed a solarhousing concept, a house designed for the warm climate in the Middle East andwith large quantities of solar panels installed. The cooling system for the house was designed in an earlier report, the purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility of short and long term storage of thermal energy via an underground energy storage volume.Two different designs of the storage and three different filling materials have been integrated into a model to simulate different cases. The first design consisted of pipes installed in the ground, without insulation. The second design consisted of an insulated concrete box installed to prevent thermal energy from the surrounding soil to flow towards the lower temperature regions within the storage. The three different filling materials were dry saudi sand, water saturated saudi sand and the filling material used by the client for energy storage in Sweden.The results from the simulations show that neither of the designs, regardless of the filling material, managed to extract enough thermal energy from the house to the ground to uphold the demands of indoor climate.

Att registrera reaktiv hyperemi är ett sätt att värdera mikrocirkulationen. Det finns många flödesvariabler att studera varav tid till maxflöde efter ocklusion är en. Det har gjorts studier som undersöker om det finns ett samband mellan reaktiv hyperemi och fysisk aktivitet/syreupptagningsförmåga.

Energy costs are high nowadays and that is the reason why the energy consumption needs to become as small as possible in most of the companies. Future emission legislation puts great emphasis on increasing the efficiency of the engine, thereby reducing fuel consumption. The tribological contact between cylinder liner and piston ring is where an great amount of energy is lost due to friction, and by reducing these losses an reduction in fuel consumption can be achieved.The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the tested piston ring coatings against a plasma sprayed cylinder liner and rank these combinations of materials for friction and wear resistance. The coatings that were tested was Cr + Al2O3, (Al,Cr)N, two types of CrN and WC / C.The experimental tests were performed with a so-called pin-plate, where used oil with addition of an acidic mixture of sulfuric and nitric acid to mimic the acidic condensate formed when exhausts recirculate, were added with a continuous flow. The results were then analyzed by weighing, studies by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and profile measurements.The results from each material combination were that the plasma coated cylinder liner wears too aggressively in order to yield a ranking of the piston ring coatings based on the parameters of friction and wear resistance. It is therefore proposed that an alternative coating on the cylinder liner should be developed, lacking the large abrasive wear on piston rings and that can withstand the corrosive environment resulting in engines equipped with EGR.

Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.
