My essay is about the latter period of Anne Charlotte Leffler?s authorship. In Part I of my essay, I describe her path from the 1880s, where she described femininity as a shortcoming, as writes Ingeborg Nordin-Hennel, towards the 1890s and towards describing femininity as a possibility. This development took place on two levels ? on an outer level, where all the woman writers in the late 1880s were influenced and where they were pushed out by the male writers, and on an inner level with Leffler herself.Her late literary works depict new and more independent types of women, and eroticism is given a more prominent position.

Cover Story is a project, which students at Lillholms - and Ekholms School worked in during spring and fall of 2009. Several school subjects were integrated in project; social studies, art and Swedish, to empower the students to create, implement and design a magazine. The purpose of the project was to give the students the opportunity to fantasize about the future and their dreams by creating their very own Cover Story. During the project I realized that the student?s selection of magazine genre had a direct relation to the gender of the students themselves.

Lågutbildade och män dör oftare i åtgärdbar sjuklighet än både högutbildade och kvinnor.  Högutbildade har lättare hitta vägar till vård och får också ett bättre bemötande. Inom primärvården bedrivs olika hälsopreventiva aktiviteter, bl.a erbjuds 40 åringar ett hälsosamtal, vilket utförs av distriktsköterskor. Syftet med denna studie var att ur ett genusperspektiv med utgångspunkt från manlig hegemoni enligt R. Conell, samt Y.

The aim of this study was to investigate and gain a deeper understanding of how the staff at the youth clinic approaches, and might influence, participation and responsibility as regards the girl and boy respectively in the process that follows when an unplanned pregnancy has been verified. Qualitative interviews were carried out with staff at five youth clinics in Skåne. All staff did routinely work with girls and boys that were involved in an unplanned pregnancy. The theoretical starting point of the study was a gender perspective involving feministic gender theory and masculinity theory. The main questions were: How does the staff at the youth clinic view the responsibility distribution between the girl and the boy involved in an unplanned pregnancy, and how does the staff explain this distribution? Are there any guidelines to how the boy and girl should be approached, and in this way ensuring that they both feel involved in the unplanned pregnancy and its consequences? How does the youth clinic staff view and discuss a gender perspective in relation to their work? The result of the study showed that at four of the clinics a difference was evident in the staffs´ views as regards participation and responsibility in the unplanned pregnancy of the boy and girl respectively.

Bakgrund: Bröstcancer hos män är en ovanlig, ouppmärksammad sjukdom. Mindre än en procent av alla som får bröstcancer är män. Detta gör att männen som drabbas av denna sjukdom inte bara går igenom de motgångar som en cancersjukdom innebär utan även vad det kan innebära att drabbas av en sjukdom som vanligen drabbar kvinnor.Syfte: Att beskriva mäns upplevelse av att leva med bröstcancer.Metod: En litteraturöversikt då nio stycken vetenskapliga originalstudier granskades. Dessa hade kvalitativ, kvantitativ eller mixad metod och hämtades från Cinahl och referenslistor från andra vetenskapliga artiklar. Studierna analyserades genom en indelning av data i olika huvudteman och underteman.Resultat: I resultatet framkom det tre huvudteman i den manliga bröstcancerupplevelsen.

By limiting our horse?s freedom of movement, we restrict their opportunity to forage, which is one of their most important needs. If their need of forage is not fulfilled it can lead to frustration, which might manifest itself in abnormal behaviour, like the oral stereotypies for example crib-biting. It is a held belief that the horse swallows air while crib-biting, which they don?t, and that swallowed air causes colic, and the belief that other horses can copy the behaviour, leads to the use of many methods to prevent the behaviour.

Due to the developments in today's gender discussions, this essay aimed at investigating the gendered constructions and encouragements to consumption. As a former fashion student I have a special interest in the commercial constructions featured in fashion magazines, especially since advertising, fashion and perceptions of gender have long walked hand in hand. Just as feminism studies have shown femininity being a fluid identity, recent studies of masculinities, media and culture are also showing changes in the depictions of men.The aim was to clarify how fashion magazines encourage men and women to consume products and ideals, and also discuss the gender constructions occurring in the junction of editorial and commercial text (articles and advertisements). The analysis was thereof based on three main questions:-       How is consumption encouraged in male and female fashion magazines?-       What kind of gendered pattern appears in the junction of advertisement and editorial text?-       With regard to the gender constructions, what is the reader encouraged to consume?The theoretical framework of the analysis was based on gender studies and political economy, mostly describing a commercial perception of feminine journalism and a new metrosexual expression in men?s fashion and lifestyle magazines.By using a combination of quantitative (content analysis) and qualitative (semiotics) approach two fashion magazines, Elle and King Magazine (published in May 2013) were used as representatives of fashion magazines in general.The results showed clear differences between the sexes.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka manliga handelsanställdas uppfattning om klädsel och utseende i förhållande till maskulinitet. För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi valt att undersöka vilka yttre faktorer som påverkar mäns syn på utseende och klädsel i arbetet och privat. Vi har även undersökt på vilket sätt manliga handelsanställdas syn på manlighet är relaterat till deras synsätt på utseende och klädsel. Forskningen kring klädsel och utseende är omfattande, men den forskningen behandlar ämnet främst ur ett kvinnligt perspektiv, däri ligger en av bakgrundsfaktorerna till att vi fann detta ämne intressant att studera.Arbetet vilar på teorier kring maskulinitet, ideal, stereotyper samt estetisk kompetens. Genom att genomföra intervjuer med manliga handelsanställda kom vi fram till att klädseln och utseendet inom arbetet, men även privat är av stor betydelse för synen på maskulinitet och manlighet.

Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att undersöka ifall män och kvinnor representeras på lika eller olika sätt i en svensk branschtidning. Syftet har även inkluderat att studera ifall det har skett någon förändring i denna representation över tid. Därför har undersökningen innefattat ett tidsperspektiv. Tidsperspektivet har inneburit att undersökningen har utförts vid fyra olika tidsnedslag, vilka är år 1981, 1991, 2001 samt 2011. Den frågeställning som vi har avsett att besvara är: Hur har män och kvinnor porträtterats i branschtidningen Veckans Affärer från 1980-talet fram till 2010-talet? Finns det likheter och/eller skillnader? Finns det också någon skillnad i hur mycket utrymme som män respektive kvinnor har fått i branschtidningen genom åren? Undersökningen har tolkats utifrån ett teoretiskt ramverk bestående av R.W.

Stronger demand has been put on forestry to show environmental considerations during harvesting. This is especially for crossings of brooks with sensitive elements and great care should be observed when they are to be crossed during harvesting by logging machines. For that reason Hultdins has constructed a portable bridge that can be used for those occasions. The bridge has been developed in accordance with wishes from SCA forest, since they have a great deal of brooks in their forests and in private forests from where they buy part of their wood supply. The aim for this report is to investigate if this portable bridge can be of interest for the forestry market. The research has been made at SCA skog in Medelpad and Norrskog in Medelpad.

Meat and fish was the most important food for the Sami people in northern Scandinavia until the beginning of the 20th century. It is not so well known that the Sami people also used a lot of wild plants as food and medicine although that kind of food was relatively common among them until the end of the 19th century. The purpose of this master thesis has been to describe which plants the Sami people used in general and also which plants were the most commonly used, and when and how these plants were harvested. I also wanted to measure the quantities of Angelica archangelica and Rumex acestosa within traditional harvest sites. Furthermore I wanted to find out if the plant use differed among Sami groups geographically.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på om, och i så fall hur synen på barnen förändrades under andra världskriget samhällsomdaning. Syftet är också att i uppsatsen beskriva de insatser som Sveriges unga gjorde under den kristid som andra världskriget vållade Sverige. Materialet ska sedan kunna användas till att bredda historieundervisningen på området: andra världskriget. Frågeställningarna för uppsatsen är de följande;1. a) Vilka sorters arbete utförde de svenska barnen och ungdomarna under andra världskriget?b) I vilken omfattning arbetade barnen och ungdomen?  2.

Can the need for inclusion result in certain social norms remain unchallenged, and over time become hard to identify? To ?fit in? and be accepted in different social contexts we have to behave according to the dominating rules and conventions. We accept characteristics and make use of attributes specific for the group we want to be a part of. When we accept these attributes we contribute to keep the concept of them alive. Further on these attributes will be picked up by the next person who wants to become a part of that specific context.

Bakgrund: Palliativ vård i hemmet är en ökande företeelse. Närstående vill ofta delta i vården som informella vårdgivare trots att det innebär stor påverkan på deras livssituation. Den palliativa vårdens uppgift är att i livets slutskede lindra och möjliggöra ett så bra liv som möjligt inte bara för patienten utan också för dennes närstående.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur närstående upplever sin situation i den palliativa hemsjukvården.Metod: En litteraturstudie har genomförts med sökning i databaserna Cinahl, Pubmed och Medline. Tolv artiklar valdes ut för resultatet. I sju av de utvalda artiklarna användes kvalitativ metod, i två artiklar kvantitativ metod och i tre både kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod.

We were accepted to the field study Dignity and therefore chose to write our thesis in connection with it. Our subject is the oasis of Siwa in Egypt. The society has long been isolated, and therefore, the city has been able to preserve their handicraft methods and values. We chose to study the Ecological and Handicraft Development Center, which is a newly opened center for craft production. We wanted to see how the centre could use storytelling as a marketing strategy.
