This paper takes it points of departure in a gender equality perspective and the perceived paradox between the governmental labour market policy and family policy. The first policy area has the aim to put people to work, whereas the other introduces a reform, vårdnadsbidraget, that point in the opposite direction. Which are the problem representations within the two policy areas and are the problem representations concordant or contradictive? From a constructivist perspective, langue is closely related to power through defining and ascribing meaning to reality. Drawing on political documents, speeches and articles formulated within the government, this paper analyzes problem representations through the use of discourse analysis and feminist political theory.

Institutionen för datavetenskap (IDA) vid Linköpings universitet har tillsammans med försvarsmakten, polisväsendet och räddningsverket i Östergötland startat en projektstudie för att utröna huruvida augmented reality-teknik (AR) kan användas för att förbättra koordinationen mellan civila och militära organisationer, och på sikt även militära och civila organisationers gemensamma stabsarbete mellan nationer. Kunskap om hur militära och civila organisationer - som har ett tätt samarbete vid olika former av samhälleliga kriser - ser på sin organisationsspecifika teckenanvändning kan vara relevant vid införandet av ny teknik. Detta i synnerhet om det går att finna skillnader i de olika organisationernas syn på och användning av tecken.Denna studie har gjorts i anslutning till ovanstående projektstudie och fokuserar på hur företrädare från försvarsmakten, polisen och räddningstjänsten, utifrån en semiotisk inramning, ser på sin teckenanvändning. Syftet är att undersöka ifall betydande skillnader i teckenbruk finns hos dessa organisationer. För att nå en större inblick i hur företrädare för de tre organisationerna ställer sig till den egna teckenanvändningen har utdrag ur ljudinspelat material från två olika sessioner analyserats.

A couple of years ago the Swedish Armed Forces had no non-lethal weapons, but today the Swedish soldier has a number of tools to choose from.The purpose of this paper is for the reader to get a presentation of which non-lethal weapons are used today by the Swedish Armed Forces and a sample of what non-lethal weapons are out on the market today. Den här uppsatsen undersöker och analyserar AP-fondernas förvaltning av det svenska pensionskapitalet i relation till dess uppdrag utifrån finansiell teori och tidigare forskning. Halvårsdata och information om fondernas allokering har samlats in från AP-fondernas respektive webbplatser mellan åren 2001 och 2009. Studien har använt ett flertal modeller för att analysera AP-fondernas historiska utveckling. Treynorkvot, Sharpekvot, Informationskvot, Morningstar rating och Jensens alfa har använts för att undersöka fondernas riskjusterade avkastning. Treynor och Mazuys market timing modell har använts för att undersöka huruvida fonderna har förmågan att förutse större marknadsrörelser.

This study analyses the economic consequences due to ethanol production in Eastern Sweden. The analyses consider the cooperative and the farmers as one vertically integrated company. The area that found the market in this study is illustrated in figure 1. The analyses assume that all members act jointly with the objective of maximizing joint profits at the farm level as well as at the cooperative firm. A mathematical model is created to calculate the optimal use of arable land.

Metod: I den här studien kommer en kvantitativ metod med en deduktiv ansats att användas. Vidare kommer det positivistiska synsättet att ligga till grund för utformandet av studien. En enkät har utformats, utifrån en modifiering av City Brands Index, anpassad för stadsdelar. Resultatet på enkäten har sedan sammanställts och analyserat i statistikprogrammet Minitab samt Excel där ett nytt index tagits fram.Resultat och slutsats: Vi kan se att det föreligger uppfattningar som gör stadsdelarna till ett varumärke.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att utvärdera Ocular Protection Index (OPI) för att se om det är en användbar metod vid diagnosticering av torra ögon. En del i utvärderingen är att undersöka korrelationen mellan OPI och resultatet på en symtomenkät, Texas Eye Research and Technology Center Dry Eye Questionnaire (TERTC-DEQ).Metod: Försökspersonerna fick i början av undersökningen fylla i TERTC-DEQ. Därefter observerades försökspersonerna vid läsning på avstånd och nära håll för att mäta deras blinkintervall. Försökspersonernas ögon undersöktes med spaltlampa och Tear Break-Up Time uppmättes för att därefter räkna fram OPI för varje försöksperon.Resultat: Totalt undersöktes 34 personer varav 4 personer exkluderades på grund av att de ej uppfyllde urvalskriterierna. Endast mätningar på höger öga redovisas i resultatet.

Recently there have been a lot of talk a about the financial crisis and recession. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the financial crisis have affected the construction industry relating to market and personnel, but also examine what measures the construction companies have taken. The examination was carried out by information received from the majority of construction-related websites which then was followed up with interviews in the various construction sectors.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether abnormal stock returns could be identified as a result of a layoff announcement during weak economy.Method: An event study methodology.Theory: Efficient market hypothesis, signal theory.Empirical results: Quantitative data from observations of stock prices in thirty two companies listed on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, in the period 2008 -2012.Conclusion: The results indicate that the market reaction was negative because there were negative abnormal returns on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during the period 2008-2012 in connection with the layoff announcements. The market reaction was milder when staff reductions were carried out as a result of a restructuring and stronger when staff reductions were carried out as part of a cost reduction program.The layoff announcements elicited different market reactions depending on the company's industry affiliation. The most negative reaction was in the Healthcare industry. Negative abnormal returns were lower in industries Industrials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods. There were no abnormal returns for shares of companies in the industry Financials.
