Den mångtydiga notbilden : Klingande gestaltning av pianostycken i romantisk stil utifrån instuderingar med reducerade notbilder

ENGLISH SUMMARYTitle:The ambiguous scorePresenting romantic piano pieces from simplified scoresIn this essay, I have investigated if different types of simplified scores ? scores whose musical structure are clearer compared to the original ? can stimulate a more artistic interpretation as well as a more linear understanding of the piece. My analysis also investigates what kind of impact these kinds of scores have on memorization. The music is derived from the romantic piano repertoire and the subjects are six university-level music students. Half of them were placed in a reference group, and only received the original scores, while the others also received the altered versions. I used both reduced scores where notes were removed in order to emphasize the linear structure and scores where the pitch notation was the same as in the original , but the notes were grouped differently. The result indicates that those having access to multiple versions had a positive impact on the musical interpretation.

Swedish farmers - are they entrepreneurs? : and is there a support function for LRF to fulfil?

The EU market is being deregulated, which sees Swedish farmers that have traditionally been governed by different support systems being forced to adapt to a free market system and having to deal with the concept of supply and demand. The farming sector has during the past several years experienced harder conditions and the deregulation of the market has directly affected farmers. The need for entrepreneurs and that way of thinking has been identified (McElwee, 2006). Swedish farmers are neither familiar with a free market or being required to think in an entrepreneurial manner, does this therefore implicate that Swedish farmers are not entrepreneurs?LRF is a national farmers? organization in Sweden and functions as a support for Swedish farmers.

Poultry producers? perceptions of changing market conditions : a field study of the poultry production in Khartoum state of Sudan

Sudan has always showed great potential in the poultry industry, but it has not been until now that this potential has blossomed and is growing quickly. As large agribusinesses1are taking over the market shares within the urban areas, smallholders2 have been put out of business. They are not able to compete with mass production and lack financial assets to improve their production techniques. Contract farming is defined as initiatives from agro industrial companies to secure access to smallholder produce and has in developing countries become a way of allowing the poor to participate in a larger market (Farrington, 1999). The aim with this study was to investigate the suitability of implementing the contract farming concept within the poultry industry in Sudan today. The study is a qualitative field study and the authors have conducted qualitative interviews with respondents involved in the poultry industry in Sudan.

Changes in the climate and the environment are largely consequences of human influences. Resources are given to teach adults about the environment. However, there are problems in focusing on adults because it is difficult to influence people when they already have created a lifestyle. We have instead chosen to focus on teaching children about changes in the climate and the consequences of this. Many of the toys available on the market today encourage children to consume. Luxury cars and dolls with hundreds of accessories are often made of materials that has have a negative effect on the environment.Another problem we often encountered during the year is the declining interest in technology and science.

Ethical impact on EU animal welfare policies : the example of Article 13

On December 1th 2009 the Lisbon Treaty entered into force, and through Article 13, the recognition of animals as sentient being was given a more visible part in the very core of EU law. This was an effect of a political decision to commit to the issue, partly because of the will to further harmonize the EU market, but also due to increased societal concern for the wellbeing of animals. Over the last decades, ethical awareness is growing in many countries, one reason being new scientific discovery. This influences legislators and policy makers to take proper action, and in this way, ethics and science often work together as the very basis for the development of new legislation and policies. There is yet to be seen what the actual consequences of Article 13 will be, since the legal obligation remains the same and there are still some reservations in it.
