This paper aims to examine how the beginning of newly examined teacher?s professional life might look like and also highlight the obstacles that might occur during the induction, the time during which the student becomes the teacher. The paper also discusses what support that is available for newly examined teachers in schools concerning the possibility to have a mentor and a period of introduction.A qualitative method was used for this study and interviews were made with new teachers who shared their experiences from the beginning of their careers. The results from the interviews were also discussed from the points of view of the study?s theories concerning different leadership styles.Two handbooks for new teachers, aiming to support them in their new professional role were compared.

For a school library to function as a support for the students? development of their academic abilities, it must provide material satisfying their needs as well as the needs of the teachers. The school library should assist the students in their research endeavours, as well as inspire reading for pleasure. In order to do this it is imperative that the school library actively develops the existing collection and continually strives to meet the needs of its users. The aim of this Master?s thesis is to describe and reflect upon how a particular school library works with collection development.

Detta arbete visar, delvis var för sig och delvis i kombination, hur regelbaserat och fallbaserat beslutsstöd kan användas vid uppdragsplanering. Uppdragsplanering utförs med hjälp av Mission Support System (MSS).Uppdragsplanering kräver en hel del arbete och en hel del erfarenhet för att den ska bli bra. Detta kan underlättas om man kan få hjälp av olika verktyg som kan dra nytta av uppsatta regler för respektive uppdrag och även dra nytta av tidigare uppdrag av samma karaktär. Sedan tidigare finns det två olika examensarbete som har undersökt respektive del av detta.Målet med detta arbete är delvis att demonstrera metoderna i en prototyp, var för sig och i kombination med varandra, och delvis att försöka besvara frågan om en kombination av metoderna presterar ett bättre beslutsstöd än när metoderna används var för sig. Detta arbete bygger på två tidigare examensarbeten.Metoden som används för att kunna bedöma vilken metod som är att föredra är att man har implementerat både verktygen i en prototyp.

Palliative care is a care that focuses on providing end of life care but not to delay or hasten death. Despite training, nurses often show a lack of knowledge in attitude, ethics and healthcare issues of palliative care. The nurse in palliative care has a central role in caring of the dying patient and therefore a big responsibility. However, palliative care is a low priority in basic training. The aim of this study is to investigate the roles of nurses in palliative care and if there is a need for increased education in the subject.

Kraven på hälso- och sjukvården ökar ständigt, inte minst på sjuksköterskorna där en evidensbaserad omvårdnad eftersträvas. För att evidensbaserad omvårdnad ska kunna bedrivas krävs att nya forskningsrön ständigt förs in och omsätts i sjuksköterskans vardagsarbete. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka hinder och förutsättningar som finns för sjuksköterskor att införa och omsätta omvårdnadsforskning till praktiken. Relevant litteratur för studien söktes fram genom sökning i olika databaser. Litteraturstudien omfattar tolv artiklar som sammanställts och analyserats utifrån studiens syfte.

This paper aims to study the Armenakis´ theory of readiness, "are they ready?", which consists of five key components affecting the outcome of an organizational change. In this case study, the intention is to investigate if any component is important; alternatively if it is possible to discern a pattern between components, i.e. how they correspond to each other. During the past 30 years have a research group lead by Armenakis has studied organizational change and how resistance to change can be avoided by preparing employees in the introductory phase of change. The main object for Armenakis is the question "what determines whether the employees (change recipients) adopt and support, or reject and resist a change".

The primary purpose of this thesis is to study how political agents construct and give meaning to the concepts of democracy, representative democracy and referendums. The starting point of the thesis is the pressing issue whether or not Sweden should hold a referendum on the new EU constitution. To analyze this question my choice of method is critical discourse analysis and the topical theories revolve around democracy and responsibility.My study shows that there are three different discourses in this debate: ?the democratic process?, ?the representative democracy? and ?the concept of democracy?. However, the meaning of the concepts in these discourses varies depending on which side the political agents are on.

Increasing innovation and entrepreneurship has been identified as a key target for sustained growth and welfare, both in Sweden and abroad. Therefore, many countries have recognized the need to equip students with entrepreneurship education and to integrate skills associated with entrepreneurship into the various curricula.To shed light on entrepreneurship education within business curricula, a case study focusing on the first two years of the Bachelor program at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) was conducted. The study was based on interviews with students, alumni and scholars with a background of entrepreneurship. Insights from respondents were compared with leading research on entrepreneurship education, to evaluate the program's approach.Primary findings from the qualitative analysis showed an overall lack of entrepreneurship education in the early stages of the program. Entrepreneurial "know-how" knowledge was an insufficient component of the SSE program and a barrier for why more students did not pursue a career in entrepreneurship.

AbstractBakgrund: Totalt har nästan 30 miljoner avlidit sedan första AIDS- fallet diagnostiserades år 1981. Ovissheten och hotet om sjukdom och för tidig död innebär stora psykiska påfrestningar på individen. Sjuksköterskans attityder och sätt att vara spelar en viktig roll för etablering av en terapeutisk relation.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa sjuksköterskans attityder till patienter med HIV- infektion.Metod: Genom en litteraturstudie av tidigare forskning har 16 vetenskapliga artiklar granskats. Dessa fann vi på databaserna PubMed och Cinahl.Resultat: Sjuksköterskor upplevde rädsla vid omvårdnad av patienter med HIV/AIDS på grund av dess smittrisk. De ansåg att de behövde mer utbildning och support och professionell support mellan kollegor för att orka med sitt arbete.

The Energy Performance Certification in Sweden was developed as a tool to achieve the Government's target to reduce Sweden's energy consumption by 20 percent by 2020. The Energy Performance Certificate has previously received some criticism for not fulfilling its purpose. Questions that formed the basis for this report is how the energy performance certification provides support to buyers of single-family houses and if the energy performance improved in terms of reliability. The report begins with a background description that describes how the energy declaration works and some of the findings of previous evaluations and surveys. A survey to investigate the broker's position to energy performance have been conducted as well as interviews with buyers and sellers of houses. An investigation whether the energy performance can vary between different calculation programs, depending on various assumptions made by the energy declarant, has been made.Brokers and sellers have proved negative attitudes towards energy performance, particularly brokers.

The aim of this study is to examine if and how the diagnosis of ADHD is important for the social practice delimitation to obtain an understanding of how the sorting and categorization of clients affects the distribution of resources. In a qualitative approach, the study is based on eight semi-structured interviews in five different social practices. Young adults diagnosed with ADHD who need society's help and support, constituted our focus in the study. The selection is based on gaining an understanding of how the client process proceeds. The interviews were supplemented with documents, such as legal and internal methodological support.

ABSTRAKTPersoner med psykiskt funktionshinder ärden persongrupp som statistiskt sett har minst chans att komma ut i arbete. Enarbetsrehabiliteringsmetod som enligt internationell forskning visat sig varaden mest effektiva för dessa personer är Individual Placement and Support(IPS), men kunskap om hur metoden fungerar i Sverige är ännu bristfällig.Syftet var att belysa IPS-coachers uppfattning om vad som påverkat arbetsrehabiliteringenför klienter med psykiskt funktionshinder inom två IPS-program i norraSverige.  Metoden som användes var attanalysera åtta IPS-coachers dokumentation kring 65 klientersarbetsrehabilitering under totalt två år med hjälp av kvalitativinnehållsanalys. Ett övergripande tema kunde skapas ?Motivation och förmåga att se värdet av IPS möjliggör en fungerandearbetsrehabilitering?, som bestod av de fyra huvudkategorierna: ?Klientcentrerat arbetssätt för att skapa ochupprätthålla klientens motivation, ?Klientens hälsa, livssituation ochstrategier för konstruktiv anpassning?, ?Betingelser för lämplig arbetsplats? och ?Spelregler i samarbetet?. Upprätthållandetav motivation visade sig vara mycket komplext då det påverkas av så mångaaspekter och för personer med psykiskt funktionshinder kan det vara extrasvårt.

Studien hade följande frågeställningar: Hur upplever föräldrar, som har förlorat sina barn under perinatalperioden, det bemötande och det stöd och den hjälp de fått från professionella? Hur upplever de det sociala nätverkets bemötande och stöd? För att besvara frågorna utgick intervjun från tre teman, professionellt bemötande, professionellt stöd och hjälp samt det egna sociala nätverket. Studien gjordes med en fenomenologisk vetenskapsfilosofisk position.

Early contact with both parents is important for children and it is important to reach out to both mothers and fathers through parental education groups. Parent education program for fathers can lead to more fathers taking parental leave and becoming more involved in the care of their children. A lot of men lack support from the community after the birth of their child. The aim of this study was to illustrate district nurses? experiences of meeting first-time fathers.
