By using modern methods of casting concrete, cast in place can get more effective and industrialized. A modern method is self compacting concrete. By using this type of concrete, advantages like improved working environment and rationalized construction can be reached. Because the concrete doesn?t need to be vibrated, the amount of staff on site and the noise can be reduced.

Back in the 1950s Marilyn Monroe and her hourglass shaped body was the aesthetic ideal for how models were to look like. Nowadays, the tide has turned. Research has shown that female models are becoming increasingly taller, narrower and straighter. This trend has occurred despite the fact that both men and women (still) prefer medium sized women with curvy bodies. This essay examines if this trend can be justified from a marketer's perspective.

In the fall of 2014 a literature review and a scientific study of the topic; "... in the extent to which companies in the industry applies the evaluation of continuous improvement? was conducted at Mälardalen University. These studies are the foundation of this thesis.A strategic improvement is often divided into smaller steps of improvements at each hierarchical level from the top down through the organization. But if there is no response system that can confirm the results of these improvements back through the organization it is very hard to see if the improvements really are improvements or just changes and a waste of resources.

Detta examensarbete är en undersökning om elevers syn på sina egna bilder och vad somhänder med den när bilderna presenteras i en utställning.Syftet med studien är att undersöka på vilket vis en utställning av elevers bilder kan habetydelse för hur eleverna reflekterar över sitt arbete och på så vis även ha betydelse förlärprocessen.Frågan som undersökts lyder ?Vilken betydelse kan visuell och rumslig presentation avelevers bilder ha för hur de själva värderar och reflekterar över bilderna??Undersökningen har gjorts på en gymnasieskola med två klasser i kursen estetiskkommunikation. Eleverna har fått gestalta bilder och efter arbetet intervjuats om vad detyckte om bilderna. Bilderna presenterades för eleverna på nytt i form av en utställning ochnya observationer och samtal gjordes för att ta reda på vad eleverna tyckte om bildernaunder utställningen.Undersökningsmaterialet har analyserats genom att jämföra hur eleverna värderar ochreflekterar över sina bilder innan och efter utställningen, för att kunna få syn på vilkenbetydelse den visuella och rumsliga presentationen kan ha.Som blivande pedagog känns det viktigt att få en fördjupad förståelse för hurpresentationen av elevers bilder kan ses som en tillgång i bildundervisningen.Tolkning och resultat har prövats med hjälp av olika teorier såväl pedagogiska filosofersom designteorier och forskning om vad utställandet gör med bilden.Jag använder mig av gestaltande metoder under arbetets gång i formandet avutställningen som presenteras för eleverna. Gestaltningen består av en sammansättning av58 elevers bilder som satts ihop i tre bilder och ramats in, och ett bildspel som visar varjebild var för sig.

Syftet med arbetet är att skapa en bättre förståelse för vad kreativitet och kreativa produkter är. I arbetet utvärderas även en metod för bedömning av kreativiteten i en produkt. Den metod som utvärderas är Creative Product Semantic Scale (CPSS). Det finns många olika definitioner på kreativitet och några tas upp i det här arbetet. För att kreativitet skall uppstå är även omgivningen och kontexten viktig.

The degreeproject ?Grafisk Skärm för Inbyggda System? have developed a first prototype of anembedded system with a display, a graphical user interface with touchscreen andpossibilities to communicate with external units.The work initiated with surveys of critical components. A technical specification forthe desired end product was developed. With the technical specification as support,design specifications for hardware and firmware were developed.After the specifications were done, a circuit diagram was developed and a circuitboard was made.

This report is a documentation of the workflow and the result of a project carried out by twostudents from the Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with a company. The report isstructured in a chronological order and describes the methods and systems developed in theworkflow. The report shows how the project evolved from a study phase to the various proposals onthe concept solutions.The project aims to develop a systematic way of bonding two different kind of cardboard under fiveminutes. By conducting a general study about glue and its different forms it was possible to obtain abroad knowledge, which helped to choose the right substances to later use in testing on the differentcardboard materials in question. Glues's survey resulted in a list of different substances that wererelevant to the project.

The PhonePages of Sweden is a company that develops software for mobile units, especially cell phones. This thesis treats the development of, and contingencies for, a mobile phone directory, using the limited resources found in a mobile unit. The project was implemented and executed at The PhonePages with the intention of creating a product to sell to a third party.By studying different solutions, their benefits and drawbacks, an abstract picture of the product was constructed. Problems covered include compatibility problems caused by todays platform diversity as well as problems with saving, organizing and presenting data.The main goal was to create a phone directory which does not make external information retrievals. The service should contain both company and personal information, with name and phonenumber.

Problem: The relations between first and second tier suppliers within the automotive industry have changed drastically during recent years. Previously involving the supply of simple components, today the relation involves collaborative product development of complex subsystems. The situation is rather new for the actors, hence there are a number of problems that act as restraints for the collaboration. In order to come to terms with these problems, it is important to determine the underlying causes. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to make a survey of the main problems in the collaborative product development between first and second tier suppliers within the Swedish automotive industry.

This Master Thesis is a product development project that has been carried out in cooperation withLappset Sweden AB.The purpose has been to develop a group of products suited for parks andtraditional playground locations. The specific target area has been courtyards of newly builtresidential areas. (These pieces of open land resemble glades that can be found in the forest,which in Swedish is called ?gläntan? and has given name to the product family). Therefore thedesign should match contemporary architecture.

People working with handling parcels in terminals are often victims of musculoskeletal injuries. This is largely due to the hazardous lifting of too many parcels which are too heavy and unsuitable work postures. The human body?s ability to lift and grasp objects is so outstanding that developing a device with the same capability is very difficult.The goal of the project has been to develop a technical device that will improve the handling of parcels with regard to ergonomics. The area of concern was the lifting of parcels between the conveyor belt and the cargo space of the freight car.

This essay is a study of explicit subjectivity and valuation in Swedish literary historiography from a power perspective. The methodology involves qualitative perusal of literary handbooks from 1915 to 1999. The author Fredrika Runeberg is taken as a window, in that I have examined if and how she is described in the selected handbooks. The main purpose has been to see if subjectivity in disparaging terms and condemnation of authorship have become more evident during the years under consideration. I have related the twelve selected handbooks to Hallberg's five methods for literary historiography.
