Tillförlitlighet för automatiska sprinkleranläggningar - en analys av befintlig statistik
In this report statistics concerning the reliability of sprinkler systems from seven countries has been analysed. The objective of the report has been to determine the reliability of sprinkler systems in Sweden and to present suggestions on measures to increase the reliability. The main conclusion that has been drawn is that the reliability of sprinkler systems in Sweden is 92 percent according to the analysis of Swedish statistics, and that this figure finds support in statistics from other countries. Further results are that the quality of design, installation, maintenance and inspection of sprinkler has to be improved and that the Swedish incident report has to be revised..

Linux is a growing operating system in embedded systems. Today, Linux is not only in heavy servers but also in cell phones, PDAs, cameras and other devices running on battery power. While current technology is more energy efficient, more and more technologies are implemented into a single unit resulting in an overall increase of power consumption.Low power consumption is an increasingly important feature of a system today. Lower power consumption means lower costs, less environmental impact, and longer life for applications that runs on batteries.This work compiles methods to reduce power consumption of Linux systems. The work includes examining whether the available opportunities are platform-specific or of a more general nature.

This thesis describes a construction solution of a villa in Kiruna. The extended essay analyzes which heating system is most suitable for the construction. The options are geothermal, district and pellet heating systems.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och tolka berättelserna och berättandet inom SAS, Scandinavian Airline Systems. Vi vill därigenom erhålla en förståelse för denna aspekt av organisationskulturen. Vi beskriver vilka berättelser som cirkulerar inom organisationen och försöker utröna deras betydelse och vilka skillnader som finns inom organisationen. Genom våra intervjuer med SAS anställda har berättelserna visat sig ha olika funktioner. En av de viktigaste funktionerna är berättelsernas förmåga att fylla de informations- och förståelsebrister som uppstår i organisationer, inte minst i en organisation med SAS komplexa karaktär.

The portals can address areas ranging from finding an expert within an organisation to the marketing of the competence of a region or a research centre to other organisations. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the necessity of Competence Portals in research-intensive organisations. Important characteristics of the information in such portals have been identified and used as a basis for recommendations regarding how Competence Portals could be designed. In order to study the possibilities of a company?s system coordination an assessment of elements particularly interesting for the company was performed.
