Resource-based learning or problem-oriented learning are teaching methods that are becoming more and more common in schools today. In order to Make these teaching methods work there is a demand to Make students information literate. The aim of this thesis is to find out how six teachers at six senior high schools apprehend their professional role of seeking, preparing and developing the course in history of literature. I have used phenomenography which is both a set of theoretical assumptions and a methodology. This means that by doing a limited number of qualitative interviews one is able to describe the variations of the conceptions that have emerged.

The purpose is also to examine what attitudes the administrators of the schools have to school libraries and teaching in information seeking. A qualitative method with interviews was used to fulfil the purpose. As a theoretical basis of the study Loertschers taxonomies of the school library media program and Limbergs three levels of pedagogic research were used and the interviews were analysed with these two theoretical frameworks as a background. The result of the study showed that neither one of the three examinated schools has a school library which means that they use the public library instead.

This report is a case study of ?citizen forums? in the municipality of Uppsala. These forums are arranged to Make people participate more in local politics. The aim of this study is to find out if the opinions and the wishes coming from the citizens are later involved in the planning process etc made by the authorities. The aim is also to explain why or why not the opinions from the citizens are of any importance.My empirical data come from interviews that I have made with seven different respondents, both politicians and civil servants.

The aim of this essay is to Make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The aim of this paper is to Make a plan for local treatment with Klucel® G of a book with moulddamage. The biggest problem concerned handling the book without loosing fragments and tohandle pages that were stuck together. In some places as many as six pages where stuck togetherand it was not possible to separate them without loosing material or breaking them. The otherproblem concerned the use of waterbased adhesives that might cause tidelines and paperdistortions as seen in another volume. The use of Klucel® G dissolved in ethylalcohol functionedvery well as strengtheners and also as an adhesive for lamination.

Abstrakt Under vårt kandidatarbete arbetade vi under 20 veckor med att utveckla ett webbaserat spel riktat mot Facebook. Vi använde Agile/Scrum som projektmetod för vårt arbete och förändrade metoden och utvecklade verkyg för att effektivisera den för vårt syfte. Vi kom fram till att det är svårt att göra ett socialt spel och att det viktigaste i produktionen är att se till att det finns en tydlig koppling mellan spelarnas interaktion med varandra och den grundläggande spelmekaniken. Vi tappade fokus under utvecklingen och lärde oss den hårda vägen vikten av att planera realistiskt och börja ifrån grunden när man utvecklar ett spel. Spelet vi skapade använder sig av slumpässigt genererad terräng, är skrivet i JavaScript och utspelar sig i en viktoriansk miljö. We used Agile/Scrum as our project planning method, changed the method to Make it more effective for our purpose and developed tools for the method. We came to the conclusion that it's hard to Make a social game and that the most important thing in the production is to Make sure that there's a clear connection between the players' interaction with each other and the foundations of the game mechanics. We lost focus during the development and learned the hard way the value of planning realistically and to start from the core when developing a game. The game we created uses a random generated terrain, is written in JavaScript and takes place in a Victorian environment. The domain of this thesis is Personal Information Management (PIM) which is a sub-domain to human-computer interaction (HCI) that specifically concerns the interaction between human and information. The purpose of the study is to Make an exploration of information management in a scientific research setting, to study which tools and strategies for information interaction that are used in the context and to suggest possible improvements of today's practices. Three in-depth interviews with scientific researchers have been conducted followed by a qualitative analysis of the results. The results show that there are great variations among the three respondents and that there can be distinguished as much as 15 different dimensions that when put together forms a unique PIM profile for each individual. The recommendation following this is that tools for PIM have to allow a high degree of individualisation.

In this composition we will treat issues about intercultural approach and managing diversity in Swedish municipal/public school. This survey includes several theories and conceptions as ethnicity, culture, multiplicity/managing diversity and intercultural approach/multiculturalism.We studied two different schools and their awareness concerning intercultural approach and managing diversity . The study is concentrating on two schools in two different communities. One of the schools had a greater ethnic multiplicity than the other school, and therefore, we thought, it seemed easier for them to accept an intercultural approach and managing diversity. But that was not the whole truth.

The main object for this thesis is to study how students in library and information science at Högskolan i Borås search and valuate documents in the process of writing a paper. The study is based on a series of interviews with 12 students. Our methodology is also based on studies of their final product. The goal of the study was to map out how the students Make their decisions during their search process. We studied the students use of search words, relevance judgements and how their need for information changed trough out the writing of their paper.

Outsourcing är ett aktuellt ämne som flitigt debatteras i media. Vi ville därför öka förståelsen till varför företag väljer outsourcing samt hur motiven rangordnas för olika funktioner. Vi ville även beskriva leverantörernas tolkning av företagets motiv och rangordning. För att uppnå arbetets syfte valde vi att göra en fallstudie av Fritidsresor som utlokaliserat två av dess funktioner som tidigare utförts internt. Fallstudien innefattade två intervjuer på Fritidsresor samt två intervjuer med dess leverantörer av utlokaliserad tjänst.
