This final thesis is performed on commission of Torsby forestry administration, Stora Enso Skog. Stora Enso Skog is one of the major forestry companies of Sweden. The main business area is located in and around the region of Bergslagen. During the last decade the practice of forest management has rapidly changed due to a new forest legislation. The new law has resulted in that the production goal is equal to the environmental goal within forestry.

En god relation med barnmorskan kan öka den blivande mammans möjligheter till en positiv förlossningsupplevelse och minska risken för bl a medicinska ingrepp under förlossningen och postnatal depression. Ibland beskriver dock kvinnor förlossningar där de saknat inflytande och kroppslig integritet och särskilt tydligt kan detta bli hos invandrade kvinnor då såväl det kvinnliga könet som invandrarbakgrund är riskfaktorer för diskriminering inom hälso- och sjukvården. Med syftet att undersöka relationen dem emellan genomfördes kvalitativa intervjuer med invandrade kvinnor och förlossningsbarnmorskor. Intervjuerna analyserades utifrån en socialkonstruktionistisk förståelseram och resultaten indikerar att barnmorskorna utifrån felaktiga föreställningar om invandrade kvinnor kan beskära dessa på individualitet och inflytande och istället öka det egna handlingsutrymmet. I syfte att bättre möta det professionella uppdraget vilket inbegriper att understödja kvinnors inflytande över den egna vården bör barnmorskor i sin utbildning/fortbildning ges möjlighet att granska det negativa inflytande en essentialistisk förståelse av kön och ?ras?/etnicitet kan ha över vårdkvaliteten..

A study based on the consumer buying decision process to discover the typical use of the Internet in the consumer buying decision process when buying clothes. The matter is researched through an Internet survey which discovers how the consumer use the Internet in each step of the buying decision process by using predetermined options. As a result, the conclusion is that people most commonly use the traditional alternatives in the buying decision process of clothes. However, information about a product is often collected on the Internet, mostly on different webshops. The main reason, for people to buy clothes on the Internet, is that the consumers consider it is more convenient and time saving.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the ways in which emotion regulation and mood affects risk taking when it comes to decision making competence. Emotion regulation is an essential part of the attachment process, the development of an autonomous self and functional stress coping systems. Research indicates that there is a relation between a distorted emotion regulation and some psychological disorders like depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders and borderline (or instable emotional personality disorder). There is a definite need to analyze the relation between emotion regulation and decision making competence since it is relatively unexplored. A digital questionnaire was distributed amongst the participants.

The discovery and excavation of Long Barrows has been one of the major developments in the understanding of the Early Neolithic in Southern Scandinavia during the last decade. The Long Barrows are one of the oldest monumental burial forms that we see in northern Europe in the neolithic. They are also the first example of a common idea that is connected to a monumental burial form amongst the people. In this essay I attempt to show that there actually are quite a large number of Long Barrows in Scandinavia that show similarities with Long Barrows in well-known areas such as Kujavia (Poland) and Pommerania (Germany/Poland), in both architecture and location in the landscape. I also scrutinise some theories regarding this phenomenon and discuss, and i some cases, criticise them.

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to analyze what suitable hardware platforms there are on the market in order to build a low price control and information system for mobile applications, called small display module. The thesis will be underlying material for making a decision for further development. The result of the thesis consists mainly of a Windows CE kernel and a schematic for a CPU card, on which it would be suitable to build the display module. Another major part of the report is the introduction of different techniques that could be of interest when designing a processor based system. The processor architecture that was chosen is the x86.

This masters thesis concerns the professional knowledge of the librarian. It is a comparative study where two major ma-gazines in library press, Biblioteksbladet and DIK-forum, is compared between the years 1990-2000, in relation to the theories of professionalization and the associations to the union. The study focus on showing the differences and similarities between the two magazines according to how they interact from the subjects education, wages and status. The study is conducted from two questions: - Which are the central differences and similarities in the description of the librarian profession in the two magazines, from the perspectives of wage, status and education? - In what way do the two magazines reflect the theories of professionalization? Symtom på inkontinens påverkar den drabbade både fysiskt, psykiskt och psykosocialt. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva faktorer som kan ha betydelse för kvinnors livskvalitet. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie som baserats på åtta kvantitativa artiklar.

In this work I have tried to reconstruct the forest history within Särna-Idre forest common in northern Dalarna from the 19th century until present time. The Särna-Idre region has been an extensively used landscape for a long time. Pollen which indicates grazing has been found in samples orginating from the 10th century. Early travellers from the 18th and 19th centuries seem to have been passing trough a "used" landscape. Burned forests on naked ground are described as common. Also large areas are mentioned as undisturbed with lots of large trees, snags and dead wood.

This paper is about the use of task boards in agile system development projects. The main focus is on how digitalized versions of the task board can be of assistance during the development process. Our investigation is based on qualitative studies, with system developers of various backgrounds and professional roles, along with studies of relevant literature. The main results are that a digitized version of the task board can increase awareness for the team and be of major importance if it is accessible through the web. On the other hand negative effects of the digitalization can emerge as well.

In this paper we examine how young women present themselves on their weblogs. The main purpose of this study is to get their own opinions and thoughts about their own blogging, to see if we can find norms for how they present themselves and how the presentation online matches themselves offline. We put this in relation to information technologies, social software and Computer mediated communication, CMC. It´s also in our interest to see how the phenomenon of blogs, its role and methods of communication have changed and developed in the last few years, and whether there are differences in the way people use it according to age. The major finding is that, unlike previous research, the women in our study tend to be themselves in their weblogs and they do not manipulate their identities.

Inflammatoriska tarmsjukdomar (IBD) är en av samhällets nya folksjukdomar och ses som ett stort problem. IBD innefattar flera olika sjukdomar som påverkar mag- tarm kanalen, där Ulcerös kolit och Morbus crohn är de största och vanligast förkommande sjukdomarna, dessa kommer att belysas i denna litteraturstudie. IBD sjukdomarna är kroniska, inflammatoriska och uppträder i skov. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur dessa tarmsjukdomar påverkar vuxna individers livskvalitet både psykiskt och fysiskt. Resultatet visar att sjukdomarna påverkar individernas livskvalitet och kan bidra till ångest, depression och social isolering.

This essay deals with the principle of surprise warfare and its development as well as the adaptation of military action that had to be made to surprise the opponent in the modern era.The concept of surprise is divided into its components in order to clarify what is required to implement a surprising maneuver, to understand the complex concept and form a theoretical framework for gathering facts in the case study.Development and adaption are demonstrated by a comparative case study where Pearl Harbor illustrates an example of historical surprise and Operation Desert Storm illustrates a modern surprise. The product will then be analyzed in order to detect the development and how military conduct is forced to adapt in order to carry out a surprising maneuver. The results shows that the military action of performing a surprise attack has had a major development and is now carried out in a different stage of the attack..

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka elevers tankar, känslor och upplevelser av studier inom det individuella gymnasieprogrammet. Enligt tidigare forskning och enligt teorierna framgår det att elever som går det individuella programmet har negativa tankemönster, upplever psykisk ohälsa och depressiva symtom. I undersökningen har både kvantitativa och kvalitativa data analyserats. En enkätundersökning har skickats ut hos eleverna och två intervjuer har gjorts, en intervju med en lärare och en med en kurator. Resultatet visar höga procent av negativa tankemönster, depression och psykisk ohälsa hos eleverna.

Syfte: syftet med den här studien var att beskriva hur omvårdnaden ska utformas av sjuksköterskan för att patienter med hjärtsvikt skall uppleva en tillfredsställande livskvalitet. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie baserad på 18 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: Studiens huvudresultat visade att när patienter fick någon form av utökat stöd från sjuksköterskor, i samråd med läkare, med tätare kontakter, utökad patientutbildning, telefonuppföljning och information genom dataprogram ledde det till en högre livskvalitet hos patienterna. Det ledde även till en förbättring av symtomkontroll och egenvårdförmåga. Det påvisades inte i studier någon större skillnad mellan kvinnors och mäns upplevelse av livskvalitet.
