With today´s power uprates in BWR reactors the bundle lift force has become aproblem. The lift force is calculated using a best estimate approach and the resultfrom the calculation should pass the existing lift force margin. Lift force margin isdefined so that the lift force may not exceed 80 % of the fuel weight. The margin issupposed to cover all the uncertainties that exist in the lift force calculations.However, no uncertainty analysis has been conducted to quantify the uncertainties.In this report the uncertainties in the lift force model have been quantified. Each inputparameter to the lift force model which has been assumed to have an uncertainty isassigned a probability distribution.

This essay answers the question: How can a manufacturing business fulfill the information demand in the processes; purchasing, production, warehousing, order and delivery?The question has been answered through different kind of studies, such as literature, documents, Internet search, interviews and observations. The essay is written from a hermeneutic point of view and by using qualitative research. The result has been validated by two different manufacturing businesses.A simple information logistic model is the result of a comparison made between theory and empery. The aim of the model is to describe how a manufacturing business can fulfill the information demand by using different methods.

IT-företaget Medius tillhandahåller en produkt för ärendehantering, Medius Flow. I denna produkt finns ett visst stöd för dokumenthantering, närmare bestämt en möjlighet att klassificera dokument och lagra dem via Medius Flow. En av Medius kunder har efterfrågat mer funktionalitet och möjligheter att kunna sätta rättigheter på dokument, alltså bestämma vem som ska ha tillgång till ett specifikt dokument.Examensarbetet har gått ut på att undersöka olika lösningar för att implementera dokumenthantering i Medius Flow, utvärdera dessa och sedan implementera den lösning som verkar vara bäst.Efter att en kundintervju utförts framkom krav på systemet i form av bland annat utökade rättighetsfunktioner, möjlighet att skapa arbetsflöden och att man lätt ska kunna hitta dokumenten.Tre olika lösningsförslag togs fram. Det första gick ut på att vidareutveckla den dokumenthantering som finns i Medius Flow idag. Det andra gick ut på att använda sig av ett tredjepartsdokumenthanteringssystem och sedan bygga en integration mellan Medius Flow och detta system.

SammanfattningDetta arbete handlar om att kritiskt belysa de aspekter av undervisning som är centrala för mig som pedagog. Som lärare vill jag nå fram till eleven, jag vill att eleven ska ha möjligheten att vara kreativ och att få uppleva det tillstånd som kallas flow.Arbetet har utgått från de upplevelser jag fick av musik när jag var yngre, då tänkte jag inte i termer och begrepp utan upplevde - utan allt för förutfattade meningar. Nu när jag är lärare känner jag ett starkt behov av att identifiera vad jag då upplevde för att kunna ge mina elever en liknande kick av musik. Identifieringen har lett fram till detta arbete, jag kunde inte sätta ord på vad jag sökte men visste ändå intuitivt vad det var jag ville åt. Så småningom kom orden på plats: jag har i mitt identifieringsarbete kretsat kring kreativitet, flow och undervisnings metoder.

The aim of this report is to analyse the logistics of a medium sized restaurant and give an overall solution for improvements on the restaurant's logistics. The restaurant of interest belongs to Laponia Hotel and is located in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. Investments for over 100.000 Euros are planned for the hotel, which includes a reconstruction of the restaurant. The details on how the restaurant will be reconstructed are not yet known. I therefore chose to analyse the problemin general terms and find a solution that is focused on the logistic system itself rather than its layout.

By applying a segmentation procedure to two different sets of computed tomography scans, two geometrical models of the abdominal aorta, containing one inlet and two outlets have been constructed. One of these depicts a healthy blood vessel while the other displays one afflicted with a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. After inputting these geometries into the computational dynamics software FLUENT, six simulations of laminar, stationary flow of a fluid that was assumed to be Newtonian were performed. The mass flow rate across the model outlet boundaries was varied for the different simulations to produce a basis for a parameter analysis study. The segmentation data was also used as input data to a surface description procedure which produced not only the surface itself, but also the first and second directional derivatives in every one of its defining spatial data points.

My bachelor?s dissertation concerns the creation of a proposal for interior decoration of the Boland High School?s canteen. I have been in contact with personnel, students and the school principal through the duration of the project. In the end, substantive changes of lighting, interior decoration and movement were proposed for the canteen. In the proposal I have focused on accentuating the school?s profile, on creating smaller spatial configurations within the larger configuration of the room, lowering the noise level, creating a good movement flow, increase the number of seats and creating a pleasant environment in which to eat..

This master thesis presents a Model for Evaluating and Managing Interruption Risks in connection with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), developed for Swedwood International. The model consists of a template with instructions. The model should be easily understood and useful for establishing a plan for BCP. This thesis compares different methods for risk assessment of a creosote contaminated site in Vansbro, Dalarna. In a complementary study the importance of using representative data for calibration and validation of stationary groundwater models is discussed. The time dependency between surface water levels and groundwater levels on the site in Vansbro is evaluated by step response analysis. The results show that the groundwater levels reflect only long-term variation in the surface water levels. Hence the use of such long-term means for calibration and validation of the stationary groundwater models is the only theoretically defendable alternative.As a first step in the comparison of risk assessment methods the degree of contamination is evaluated on the basis of generic guideline values for contaminated soils, developed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.

Studiens syfte är att ur ett symbolisk interaktionistiskt synsätt försöka förstå vad som motiverar vuxna amatörskådespelare, amatörsångare och amatörmusikalartister att delta i ideella konstnärliga projekt. Något annat som studien tar reda på är om konstutövandet och gruppen de deltar i har någon inverkan på individens identitet och identitetsskapande. Genom nio semistrukturerade intervjuer skapas en förståelse kring motivationen och identitetsskapandet. Då mängden information bara ökar, så ökar även behovet att ha åtkomst till informationen lättillgängligt. Detta skapar då ett behov för ett gränssnitt som kan söka bland informationen. I detta arbete har det undersökts om en implementation av Vector Space Model ger mera relevanta resultat jämfört mot en enklare implementation som inte baseras på Vector Space Model. Sökningen utförs i en relationsdatabas med ett inverterat index, databasen fylls med data ifrån internetforumet Stack Overflow. Genom att bygga en sökmotor som returnerade två olika resultatlistor för varje sökning så fick tio användare testa och utvärdera resultatens relevans.

Development and construction of an electronic Breakout box is the main work for this thesis. The box is a part of a test system for the component Fuel Flow Transmitter and should convert signals to be suitable for a frequency counter. A previously constructed Breakoutbox for this purpose is being old and needed to be recreated. So SAAB Aerotech, Aircraft services, the company for the thesis work wanted to construct a new, more sustainable Breakoutbox adapted to a more modern technology. The signals to the box comes from the transmitter and should be converted to suitable signals for a frequency counter so it can show pulse and time difference between the signals.

Therefore it is important for the company to make it possible to visualize the negative environmental impacts a product can cause in an easy way. It is also important to visualize for there clients if any improvement is possible. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a simplified model.
