Sammanfattning Rum, form och växter är ett avslutande examensarbete som handlar om växtkomposition. Jag har valt ett antal profiler inom områdets principer om rumsskapande, komposition, färglära och några tillämpningar som jag studerat på plats samt gjort egna förslag. I detta arbete har jag börjat med rummens uppbyggnad, deras förutsättningar och sammanhang och hur detta påverkar platsen. Formen och proportioner skapar olika upplevelser och inhägnaden som har betydelse för intrycket. Människor får olika känslor beroende på rummets öppenhet, slutenhet och skala. Kapitlet som handlar om gångar berör uppbyggnaden och människans rörelsemönster i dessa.

Transit Objects In the Master Essay I argue around two existing levels in the works presented at the graduation exhibition. On the one hand, it is about influence; on the other hand it is about the phenotypes of purpose-ness. In the introduction, I describe the relationship between the shapes that I have come to call Transit objects, and their on the one hand ideological superstructure; on the other hand, the different aspects of their shapes regarding the imitation I, in creating the objects, performed. In the case with the objects shape-aspects, I stand on the thoughts that I found during my bachelor's work, that is, to express the phenotypes of purpose-ness.When it comes to influence, I speculate about how linguistics, and particularly a branch called neuro-linguistics, illustrates how the arguments that make up our world can be transformed. I use a meta-model and a conversation model as a tool to illustrate this. When I, like that, illustrate the plasticity of meaning, and cognition, I note Catherine Malabous taught (in her book What Should we do with our brain?) on the plasticity of the brain in relation to the neo-liberal systems of capitalism. She argues for how the brain has come to stand model for the organization of different types of networks. I hint the link to a future scenario where the desire to influence takes new forms and uses the latest brain research challenges, more specifically the use of ultrasound for the treatment of pain and other similar conditions. This also can be used as generating various types of seizures, pleasant or unpleasant.

The industrial sector accounts for a large share of greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce its negative impact on the environment is crucial in the quest for a sustainable future. In discussions of the industrial sector's impact on the environment guidelines have been highlighted as a tool to assist the industries in their efforts to change the relationship between the consumption of energy and production. This by improving energy efficiency and a shift to the best available technology. During the past 30 years the steel industry has reduced its energy consumption per ton of steel produced by 50 percent.

Being an architect I create spaces with roof, walls and fl oor. The availability of the essential materials to create such spaces is practically unlimited. The materials also play a significant part to the character of the created space. I hope to contribute to the general understanding of materials as elements in the design of urban spaces by having intensely explored one specific material in depth, pointing out its bad and good qualities. I am of the opinion that the reason for choosing a material shouldn?t be because of a shortage of knowledge, facts or references, but what character you want for the room. When travelling across Europe, it sometimes feels like clay paving is everywhere, but back in Sweden it is almost unseen of in modern landscape architecture.

Människor får möjlighet att ses och mötas i stadens offentliga rum. För att försäkra att staden på ett hållbart sätt planeras för dess invånare, behövs kunskap kring hur det sociala livet i offentliga rum fungerar och även hur vi kan bibehålla och utveckla dess funktion som mötes-, aktivitets- och uppehållsplats. De offentliga rummen i en stad är till för stadens alla invånare oavsett kön, etnicitet, ålder, ekonomi osv. Dess användning skiljer sig genom tiderna och domineras idag främst av frivilliga aktiviteter dit bland annat sociala aktiviteter räknas. Det finns varierande sätt att ta det offentliga rummet i anspråk. Konflikten mellan föreskrivna och unika användningar genererar en social friktion som främjar mer öppna och tillgängliga offentliga rum för fler grupper. Genom litteraturstudier med utgångspunkt i det offentliga rummet studeras det sociala livet och dess förutsättningar.

Modemarknaden idag är både global och komplex med många uppfattningar om var värdet iprodukten ligger. Produkten och företagets image är kraftfulla medel för att differentiera sigpå marknaden. Då ett företag väljer att expandera till en ny marknad är det generellt ett sätt attskapa nya marknadsmöjligheter och för att öka sin försäljning. Innan etablering på nymarknad är det viktig att identifiera sin målgrupp. På den konkurrenskraftiga internationellamarknaden ligger makten inte längre hos leverantören, utan hos kunden.Distributionskanalvalet spelar en stor roll i avseende att nå företagets tänkta målgrupp.

The vegetable production in Sweden is concentrated to the very southern parts of the country. This is also were the major wholesalers are located. In recent years, there has been an extreme focus on price on the food market. As there are only a few big wholesalers and also very few food retail chains, these have a great impact on the producers. The pressure from prominent vegetable-producing countries, providing low price products, such as the Netherlands and Spain is strong.

Anne Charlotte Leffler, Victoria Benedictsson and Frida Stéenhoff were all part of the Modern Breakthrough in Swedish literature. By utilizing Jürgen Habermas theoretical works on communicative action, and Nancy Fraser?s supplementary reading of his theory, this essay makes clear that the authors? struggle for an understanding and a rethinking of social norms in their plays Skådespelerskan (1873), Romeos Julia (1888) and Lejonets unge (1896) can be read as a contribution to the public debate. Dialogue has a key function for female authors during the Modern Breakthrough. Women and mens? possibilities to take part in conversation and argument as equals, requires the professional woman?s transgression and access to the privileges of both public (State) administration ? ?system?, and world of everyday life ? ?lifeworld?.

EU har utropat år 2012 som Europaåret för aktivt åldrande och solidaritet mellan generationerna. Under det här året kommer fokusering ske mot de äldre generationerna i vårt samhälle. Detta kommer man att göra i Sverige genom att belysa och ta upp frågor om hur samhället går att anpassa för de äldre. I Sverige finns det en växande grupp äldre och målet är att se till att dessa människor ska kunna känna sig säkra och självständiga. Det är viktigt för människor att känna att de är viktiga och att de bidrar till samhället.Statistik visar att (De Courcy, 2011) äldre föredrar att bo kvar i sina gamla bostäder.

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how to design a urban space so that it is experienced safe and how to implement this at an actual site. Knowledge on the subject has been gathered through litterature studies and interviews with experts. Through an analysis of the site with surroundings and studies of projects with similar problems, practical actions have been observed. Part taking in the municipalities planning process has given insight in the projekt as an whole and the interests of different parties. There are many different opinions about what the word safety means. It is a feeling depending on situation, that is affecting our daily behaviour.

The aim with this thesis was to investigate what characterises an English Arts and Crafts garden how they could be modernised in Sweden. My research was limited to 20 weeks of full-time writing and worth 30 ECTS. Through literature studies, interviews and site visits I could analyse my findings which resulted in a concrete garden design project. The Arts and Crafts was a movement that started in England during the 1880?s and evolved as a reaction towards the industrialisation. The influence came from the writings and practices of John Ruskin (1819-1900) and William Morris (1834-1896) who advocated the importance of craftsmanship. The Arts and Crafts movement also became a ?recipe for life? and was associated with a healthy and morally pure way of living.

Det här examensarbetet på 30 hp är utfört vid institutionen för stad och land, SLU Ultuna. Examensarbetet handlar om Oppeby torg i Nyköping för vilket jag har tagit fram ett program. Ett program innehåller råd och riktlinjer för hur en miljö kan utvecklas och kan användas som underlag vid en eventuell upprustning av torget. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram ett program för Oppeby torg i Nyköping. Utgångspunkten har varit en förfrågan från Tekniska divisionen, Nyköpings kommun.
