Tre lampor och ett ben : produktserie för Gotlands Lampfabrik
Gotlands Lampfabrik Àr en nystartad verksamhet (2009) som drivs av Jonas Kling och Jane Odell centralt pÄ Gotland. De producerar stilrena lampskÀrmar i ett ljust polymermaterial med papp pÄ bÄda sidorna.Produktionen Àr liten och görs för hand pÄ plats i den egna fabriken i VÀskinde.Sortimentet bestÄr av 33 lampskÀrmar och i nulÀget producerar inte Gotlands Lampfabrik sina egna lampben eller upphÀngningar utan köper in dem frÄn fristÄende parter vilket medför att sortimentet kan uppfattas som spretigt och osammanhÀngande. Dagens sortiment saknar Àven vÀgglampor och ljuskÀllorna som anvÀnds Àr glödlampor som frÄn och med 2009 hÄller pÄ att urfasas frÄn den Europeiska marknaden efter ett beslut frÄn EU. Möjligheten att kunna vÀlja lampor frÄn samma serie till sitt hem Àr bÄde efterfrÄgat samt kan ge en kÀnsla av sammanhÄllen och genomtÀnkt interiör. Genom att göra en produktserie med tillhörande upphÀngning samt lampben skulle verksamheten kunna profilera sig bÀttre och fÄ en mer tydlig produktidentitet.I ett nÀra samarbete med Jonas pÄ Gotlands Lampfabrik kom vi gemensamt överens om att skapa en ny produktserie med tydligt slÀktskap till varandra.

This Master thesis was written for LantmÀnnen Agroetanol in Norrköping concerning the layout of their finished goods inventory and unloading of feed after introducing a new product mix. LantmÀnnen Agroetanol has two production lines which produces feed. Both lines lead to six silos, used as inventory of finished goods. The feed from the two production lines differ in terms of quality, where as LantmÀnnen Agroetanol wants to separate their finished inventory in order to charge a higher price, by selling the better product as a premium. With two different feed products the yearly revenue is expected to increase which motivates a research about the current capabilities and necessary changes to be made in the factory.

Today Scania give a high priority to the continuous improvements on the quality of their vehicles. To follow up the flaws in product quality, which are recognized by the repairs at the local workshops, material requests are carried through to be able to analyze the defects at the plant in SödertÀlje ? in purpose to improve the product quality. The material requests are also carried through to compensate the workshop for their expenses and to check that they are working according to the company?s warranty manual.Due to local routines and different distribution structures at the different markets the lead times and the costs caused by the flow of material are hard to estimate.
