Organic food is produced in a way that strives towards maintaining and improving natural resources. The welfare of both producers and consumers is central, also taking both animals and the environment into account. The Swedish government finds this important and in 2006 they made a resolution that the consumption of organic food should be stimulated. The goal was that 25 % of the municipalities? consumption of food should be organic in 2010.The municipality of Ludvika reached the government's target in 2011 and is currently increasing their proportion of organic food by one new product every year.  Ludvika is a member of The National Association of Swedish Eco-municipalities and the town of Ludvika is also a Fairtrade city.

ABB Capacitors Ludvika started their LEAN-project in november 2010, but still has not the whole factory been introduced to the LEAN-tool called 5S. 5S is only implemented on the ?easiest? work-areas.By implementing 5S, at the workingstation called inburkningen, would make the workstation and the area around it much more structured, clean and systematized. The operators are a little bit skeptical to the work that includes continuous improvement today, because they can not see any progresses. If 5S were implememted the operators would be able to avoid searching for tools because with 5S, each tool will have a specified place at the workstation.5S would simplify the cooperation between the shifts, because 5S includes clear instructions for how the workstations will be cleaned after each shift.This report will include my recommendations, thoughts and opinions regarding however ABB Capacitors Ludvika should implement or not implement the LEAN-tool 5S.

AbstractObstacles or opportunities? ? A study of the experience of collaboration of social welfare secretaries and school staff.The purpose of this study is to illustrate the importance of the work with children and youth through the joint efforts between different authorities. The study deals with the collaboration between the social services and schools in the Ludvika municipality. The objective of the study is to investigate how teaching personnel and headmasters in compulsory schools and the social welfare secretaries in Ludvika, experience the collaboration, and how this works. On the basis of the objective, we have formulated some relevant questions; To what degree are schools aware of the model of collaboration, which is the basis for collaboration within the municipality, and are there any differences in awareness between different categories of employees? Other questions deal with differences in how the social services and schools experience the collaboration, discrepancies between different schools in this regard and if the respondents? experience any obstacles and/or opportunities by the collaboration.Collaboration is, and has been, a pressing issue for a long time in the public debate.

 På ABB i Ludvika tillverkar man en mängd produkter för högspänningsanläggningar. En av dessa produkter är ventilavledare. Ventilavledaren är en säkerhetsapparat som ska skydda övrig utrustning mot förekommande överspänningar. Ventilavledarna som tillverkas i Ludvika är gjorda för system från 52kV upp till 800kV, vilket är den högsta spänningen som används i världen idag. Idag finns två varianter av ventilavledare en med porslinisolant och en med polymerisolant.

AbstractStormwater is defined as rain- and melted water. Ludvika kommun had little knowledgde about the stormwater that reaches a specific recipient Lyviken. Therefore they intended to do an research of the stormwater that leads down to Lyviken. The aim with this study was to assess the quality of the contents in the stormwater based on pH, conductivity, phosphorous, nitrogen, bacterias, oil and one sample that meassured the value of several methals. Since the population has increased for decades, the area of hard surfaces and asphalts areas also has increased. This can increase the pollutions that finally ends up in the recipient.

Lekplatser, förskolegårdar och skolgårdar är några av barns vardagsmiljöer utomhus. Barn är beroende av att vuxna tar ansvar för att skapa stimulerande utomhusmiljöer som erbjuder lek och aktivitet samt främjar deras hälsa. Forskning visar att en god utomhusmiljö för barn ska vara stor till ytan, ha ett varierat innehåll, kuperad terräng och växlighet. Den ska också locka till sinnlig och vidlyftig lek samt fysisk aktivitet. Miljön ska vara spännande, utmanande och väcka barns nyfikenhet, upptäckarglädje och entusiasm. Ändå är många utomhusmiljöer för barn runt om i landet eftersatta och bristfälliga ur flera synpunkter.
