Syfte: Att studera hur relationen mellan arbetsgivaren och den enskilde arbetstagaren påverkar offentlig verksamhets möjlighet att attrahera, rekrytera samt behålla nyckelkompetens inom organisationen. Metod: Studien har utgått från en kvalitativ datainsamlingsmetod genom intervjuer med respondenter ur Landstinget Gävleborg. Materialet från de genomförda intervjuerna har därefter sammanförts och ställts mot olika sekundära informationskällor, vidare har respondenternas svar analyserats med tillämplig litteratur för att därefter utmynna i våra slutsatser. Resultat & slutsats: Verksamheten är idag allt för fokuserad på mätning av nyckeltal för att se vad som produceras per skattekrona, och ser inte vilken påverkan som ett ineffektivt kompetensförsörjningssystem av nyckelkompetenser har. Ett vidgat synsätt och omhändertagande av kompetensförsörjningen i allmänhet och kompetensutvecklingen i synnerhet gör att dessa kostnader kommer att betala sig, inkompetensen kostar mer i flera perspektiv. Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Framtida studier skulle kunna inrikta sig mot att studera hur kompetensförsörjningssystemet ser ut i dag och hur en tänkbar utveckling kan se ut. Den högsta ledningen lägger stort fokus och ansvar på "chefen". Vilken chefs- och ledarskapsutveckling bedrivs idag, vilka brister finns och vad skulle kunna göras för att utveckla den.

Den 21 juli 2001 trädde Europaparlamentets och rådets direktiv, om bedömning av vissa planers och programs miljöpåverkan, i kraft. Syftet med direktivet var att säkerhetsställa en hög nivå på miljöskydd, genom att utföra miljöbedömningar på vissa planer och program som kan antas medföra en betydande miljöpåverkan. När ny lagstiftning ska implementeras brukar det vanligtvis uppkomma implementeringsproblem och det var något som jag misstänkte skulle uppkomma även i detta fall. Syftet med uppsatsen är därför att ta reda på hur arbetet har fortlöpt med att implementera de nya bestämmelserna som har haft sin upprinnelse från EU:s direktiv. Informationsflödet kring de nya bestämmelserna har också studerats.

Introduction: The current research shows that cannabis use is increasing, while alcohol use is decreasing in many countries. The reason for the increase is considered to be the increased availability and that adolescents attitudes towards cannabis has become more liberal. Aim: This qualitative study aimed to examine adolescents attitudes and knowledge about cannabis. Methods: Data has been collected from focus group interviews with adolescents aged 15-18 years, in a west Swedish municipality. Participants were recruited through visits to secondary and upper secondary schools.

För att en uppfinning ska anses vara patenterbar uppställer artikel 52(1) EPC fyra rekvisit. Det ska vara en uppfinning som är ny, har uppfinningshöjd och är industriellt tillämpbar. Uppfinningsrekvisitet finns inte definierat i EPC utan har utvecklats genom praxis. För att en uppfinning ska anses vara en patenterbar uppfinning ska den ha teknisk karaktär. Vad som utgör teknisk karaktär har även det utvecklats genom praxis.

Denna uppsats har till syfte att ta reda på vilken funktion vårdpersonal respektive anhöriga till demenssjuka anser att tv-tittande har för demenssjuka som vårdas på demensboende.Uppsatsen bygger på följande frågeställningar: hur beskriver de båda kategorierna av intervjupersoner funktionen av tv-tittande, utifrån sin profession respektive sina upplevelser? Hur förhåller sig den valda teoretiska modellen, uses & gratifications, till tv-tittande på demensboenden?Undersökningen har en kvalitativ ansats och genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer. Fyra personer som arbetar i ledande befattning för vårdpersonal vid demensboenden intervjuades samt fyra anhöriga till demenssjuka. Demensboendena är belägna i fyra olika kommuner ? två i Uppsala län och två i Stockholms län.

The Social Democratic Party and the Moderate Party are two parties with different ideological background. The parties have different opinions in issues of public and private matters. The Social Democratic Party profiles it self, through the local and national party programs, as a party for solidarity and security. The Moderate Party, on the other hand, profiles it self through their programmes as a party with a possibility for the individual to shape his or her own life. Through a survey on members in the local government, and two key persons at national level, the view of municipal self-government has appeared.

The aetiology of osteochondrosis (OC) is known to be complex and multifactorial. The occurrence of bone fragments in joints and their connection to osteochondral disease are no exception. In the hock and stifle joint of the horse this type of lesion has generally been considered to be of osteochondral origin, while the process behind these fragments in the fetlock joint has been up for discussion. The objective of this study was to determine the frequency and the localisation of OC in Swedish warmblooded horses. In order to do so all radiographs of stifle, hock and fetlock joints performed on Swedish warmblooded horses during the period of 1992-1999 at Regiondjursjukhuset in Helsingborg were examined and the material was divided into two groups.

Bakgrund: Fotografering är på tapeten mer än någonsin. Försäljningen av systemkameror slår nya rekord för varje år och här Canon och Nikon de världsledande kameramärkena. Många av deras respektive kunder anses vara mycket lojala gentemot varumärket och kan inte tänka sig att byta till det konkurrerande kameramärket. Hängivenheten kan dock tyckas märklig då de två fotogiganterna inte skiljer sig nämnvärt från varandra i sina produktutbud.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva eventuella lojalitetsskillnader mellan Canons och Nikons hobbyfotografer i Sverige. Vi vill vidare reda ut varför dessa skillnader eller icke-skillnader finns då kameramärkenas produkter knappt skiljer sig åt.Avgränsningar: Studien utförs främst utifrån ett konsumentperspektiv ? producenternas perspektiv har således inte behandlats.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how media has followed the Parken Zoo incident and analyse how media convey the issue about the Parken Zoo incident. The different results have been compared. To answer the purpose of the study three issues has been formulated:  how do the different media relate to the ideal of objectivity? Who come across and get to speak in the different media? What differences and similarities are in the media?   The theories that have been used in this study are mainly McCombs theory of agenda setting, Strömbäck?s theory of framing and theory of media logic, Kovach & Rosenstiel theories of journalism and Manning?s theory of objectivity. The methods that have been used are a combination of a quantitative content analysis and a qualitative semiotic analysis.

This thesis investigated the possibilities to resume cultivation of an old manor house built of timber and what this would mean from an energy and moisture perspective. The building in this case study is named Sofiedals mansion and was built in 1858 in Valbo 11 kilometers west of Gävle.The structure of the house was documented and used as a starting-point for carrying out calculations focused on energy and moisture aspects. With the help of a number of computer programs and a conducted air tightness test, the buildings energy consumption were calculated and compared with the current building regulations.In addition, the building was analyzed considering energy retrofitting and what it meant for moisture problems. The energy retrofitting consisted of additional insulation, decreasing the buildings permeability through air sealing; window and door replacements. When a building is equipped with natural ventilation it is difficult to know its precise performance and how an energy retrofitting affects it.

Digitization is a concept that has become popular in terms of collections of old heritage-related material such as books, photographs and paper documents. This work is a study of the Swedish composer Allan Pettersson (1911?1980) and his personal archive stored at Section for Manuscripts and Music at Uppsala University Library. My issues are What happens to the archive of the digitized? Will there be a "new" archive of the digitized? What guidelines are Uppsala University Library using for their digitizing and how do they look? What will be the result after digitization? What about copyright and the material? Allan Pettersson's personal papers consist a large collection of sketches of musical notes, newspaper clippings and concert programs.

The purpose of this essay has been to study the comprehensibility and the plainness of chapter 1 and 2 in ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011? that is one of the governing documents of Swedish upper secondary school. The Swedish government approved a national language policy in 2005 which involved an aim that the official Swedish language would be refined, easy and comprehensible. Plain language has since the eighties had a prominent place in Swedish research and science and is now a thought-out principle at almost every public authority. This essay has performed a linguistic text analysis, a plain language analysis, a plain language test and a critical discourse analysis on the two chapters from ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011? that is common for all upper secondary school programs.

Safe operation of a large synchronous power system as Nordel is not an easy task.There are several aspects to take into consideration. This thesis focuses on the problems due to voltage collapses in a transmission system.The ability to foresee an upcoming collapse is vital to maintain stable operation of the grid. The grid operator at Svenska Kraftnät (SvK) uses the computer program SPICA to predict the maximum transfer limit at specified transfer sections. SPICA uses actual states from the grid to predict the transfer limitation, and a quarter later a renewed estimate is produced and so on. This means that the operator can se his transfer limits vary every fifteen minutes.Our task in this project is to validate the accuracy of the limitations obtained by SPICA.

Today's Swedish large-scale forestry uses almost exclusively computer-aided bucking. It allows the harvester computer, using an optimisation price list (steering price list), to maximize the value of each tree. The optimisation price list can be adjusted so that the industry gets the raw material it demands from the forest. There are various simulation programs that can be used when constructing a optimisation price list. The simulation program merchandise a database of stem shapes using a given price list and mimics a harvester's work. To get the demanded raw material for the industry it is important to use a well-adjusted optimisation price list.

Librarians like to think that libraries contribute substantially to the progress of research. However, libraries still seem to have serious problems getting integrated in their parent organization on equal terms with other parts of that organization. The degree of integration of the library is thus the main topic of this thesis and the purpose is to examine how the interaction between librarians and scientists is formed and can be developed. That issue leads to concrete questions concerning what part librarians play in the scientists work and which factors influence the cooperation or lack of cooperation. We have chosen, for reasons of comparison, to make two case studies; one is a branch of a university library and the other is a library in a large pharmaceutical company.
