Feedback is a tool that can be used to give students the confirmation of their accomplishments , helping them to increase understanding of the results of a performance and to alert students if change is required for future performance. Other studies and reports regarding clinical practice in education has shown that students feel that feedback has good impact on learning and positive effects such as enhanced self-confidence. Onboard training forms a major part of the education at the four-year nautical science education in Kalmar, in four years, one year is spent on board ships. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out how students at the four-year nautical science program in Kalmar felt that they receive feedback after completing on board training and how they wish that such feedback would be given. Six students were interviewed, three from grade one and three from grade three.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how social welfare secretaries from the social service and welfare officers from adult psychiatry experience the cooperation between themselves in relation to mentally ill mothers and their children.Moreover, the study aims to shed light on social welfare secretaries and welfare officers views on potential gender related differences in the work with mentally ill mothers and fathers.Five qualitative interviews were performed in two separate municipals in the Stockholm area. Three of the respondents were social welfare secretaries in the social services and two were welfare officers in the adult psychiatry. Our theoretical starting point has been role theory and a model of different dimensions of cooperation.Our result showed that there were shortcomings in the cooperation between the two principals. How well the cooperation worked differed between the two municipals. In one of the examined municipals the cooperation could only be found on an individual client or individual patient case level, whilst in the other municipal the cooperation existed on a more general level in the form of project meetings.

Infectious Bronchitis (IB) is a highly contagious viral respiratory and productiondepressant disease distributed world wide. Due to a combination of high mutation rate and atendency of recombination a constant emergence of new genotypes and serotypesis seen. In Brazil, a country with an extensive poultry production and majorproblems with disease control, the diversity of circulating strains are wide andoutbreaks of clinical disease despite intensive use of vaccines are common. Theaim of this study was to investigate the presence of IBV and to identify genotypesof isolated IBVs in a limited number of layer flocks in Bastos, São Paulo, as partof the screening for circulating genotypes in the country.

In today?s modern age, energy consumption has become a major issue, both from an environmental viewpoint and cost perspective. Because of a rapid technologic change and increased costs of production of electricity, the demand to develop effective methods for energy efficiency industries have grown.The electricity-intensive industries, such as plastic industry, the demand to reduce energy consumption has grown significantly over the past 10 years, which have led to the development of different methods to determine and locate energy-consuming parts in the industry. This also means being able to prioritize and organize activities in the industry.In this study the measurements of voltage, current, power and PF performance on injection molding machines (K-TEC 275 form Ferromatik Milacron in Germany) with a focus to locate, within a machine, various measures that could improve energy use in the plastics industry, in this case RostiGP in Gislaved. These measurements have been carried out with the help of a power quality clamp meter to carry out time logs of the machines for some time during normal word rate.

SAMMANFATTNINGBakgrund: Risken för att drabbas av ett intensivvårds-delirium under vårdtiden är av varierande storlek. Om patienten drabbas av ett delirium kan det leda till allvarliga konsekvenser. Konsekvenserna innefattar en ökad mortalitet, längre vårdtid, ett ökat lidande och även att kostnaderna blir högre. De bedömningsinstrument som finns används i varierande grad på olika intensivvårds-avdelningar världen över. Det mest valida och användbara är Confusion Assesment Method, CAM-ICU; ett mätverktyg utarbetat för att användas inom intensivvården där det kan användas på patienter som fortfarande är intuberade och således inte har en möjlighet att uttrycka sig verbalt.Syfte: Belysa den aktuella forskningen gällande omvårdnad av patienter som drabbats av intensivvårds-delirium.Metod: Studien är en litteraturöversikt med mixad metod och konvergent design.Resultat: Studien visar att omvårdnadsåtgärder gällande behandling av intensivvårdsdelirium används men det finns inga riktlinjer för hur patienterna ska behandlas.

Nearly 50 years after the building of the first million programme neighbourhoods many Swedish municipalities faces an extensive restoration work in these neighbourhoods which during their relatively short lifetime have acted as a target for a large amount of criticism. Öster in Gävle is a million programme neighbourhood that has gone through an extensive restoration between 2001-2009 with the aim of improving the living environment. Improvements have been made in the outdoor environment, to the facades of the houses and the entrances? of each building. The purpose of this study has been to investigate the effects of the renewal in the physical outdoor environment for those who live in the neighbourhood.

Bakgrund: Varje år drabbas 30 000 personer av stroke i Sverige. En stroke kan orsaka bestående skada på hjärnvävnaden. Sjukdomen är en vanlig orsak till funktionsnedsättning och står för flest vårddagar på svenska sjukhus. Rehabilitering syftar till att återställa förlorad funktion och ska bygga på respekt och värdighet för individen. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa hur personer som har drabbats av stroke erfar sin livssituation.Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturstudie baserad på fem självbiografier genomfördes. Dataanalysen gjordes utifrån kvalitativ innehållsanalys enligt Graneheim och Lundman (2004).Resultat: Tre kategorier framkom: upplevelse av en förändrad kropp, möta världen med nya förutsättningar och omgivningens betydelse för att känna välbefinnande.

Bakgrund: munvård är en grundläggande omvårdnadsåtgärd som bidrar till att förebygga respirator-relaterad lunginflammation, s.k. VAP (?ventilator-associated pneumonia?) och en rad diverse systemiska infektioner. Trots vikten med munvård och förekomsten av PM som beskriver utförande av munhygien på intensivvårdsavdelningar, så tycks det vara en lågprioriterad handling hos intensivvårdspatienter.Syfte: att beskriva sjuksköterskans inställning kring munvård hos patienter som vårdas på intensivvårdsavdelning.Metod: kvantitativ studie med beskrivande design som grundas på statistisk analys av data insamlade utifrån ett enkätformulär.Resultat: denna enkätstudie visar att sjuksköterskor prioriterar munvård högt men samtidigt tycker de att det delvis är en undersköterskeuppgift och delegerar ofta uppgiften. This is a study about employment officers at the Swedish public employment service. The aim of this study was to examine how they understand and use their discretion in their daily work. We used a qualitative method and the data was gathered by semi-structured interviews with eight employment officers working at the same office in a small town in Sweden. Lipskys theory about street-level bureaucracy and Lazarus description of coping theory are applied to analyze the empirical data. The work for the Swedish employment officers have changed over the last years with an increasing focus on control and administration.

In 2009, pharmacy market went from being a monopoly market to be a regulated competitive market.Problem: Is there any internal conditions for a private company, whose culture and structure was formed under a state monopoly, to create a strong corporate brand?Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to, through a case study, analyze and evaluate the internal marketing in a company which has undergone a change of ownership and retained the same staff.Method: Through interviews with key personnel and staff , data was gathered for the case study, which means that the method is qualitative.

BakgrundDjup sedering är associerat med förlängd vårdtid och ett flertal komplikationer för intensivvårdspatienten. Även för ytlig sedering medför komplikationer, stress och lidande. Studier visar på vikten av adekvat sedering, samt att skalor och protokoll används. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva sederingsnivå, andel optimalt, över- och undersederade patienter, vårdtid i ventilator och vårdtid inom intensivvården för patienter på en svensk intensivvårdsavdelning.MetodStudien, med deskriptiv design, inkluderade konsekutivt sederade, ventilatorbehandlade patienter, 18 år och äldre, på en svensk intensivvårdsavdelning under nio månader. Primära utfallsvariabler var sederingsnivå, utifrån Motor Activity Assessment Scale och andel optimalt, över- och undersederade patienter.

This study rises up an untouched area of ??research where the relationship between newly arrived parents and teachers is examined from a structural perspective. Previous research has looked only at the interaction between parents and teacher; this study is thus a theoretical contribution to the research. The aim of the study is met by examining the perceptions newly arrived parents have of their meeting with the Swedish school, the relationship with their children?s teacher, cooperation, collaboration between home and school, as well as their own influence in their children's learning.
