Suicid är ett samhällsproblem i Sverige. Det är idag den största dödsorsaken bland unga mellan 15-29 års ålder. Vårdpersonalen anser att det är psykiskt påfrestande och svårt att tala om. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var därav att belysa hur sjuksköterskan kan förmedla tröst och hopp genom kommunikation och relation med den suicidnära patienten. Riskfaktorer för suicidnära patienter är bland andra hopplöshet, depression, relationsförlust, suicidplan och tidigare suicidförsök.

The increasing importance of human rights within the international community over the past fifteen years has raised the issue of humanitarian intervention. This concept is a complex one, and in the debate surrounding this issue can be heard arguments from and within legal, political and ethical standpoints. There is not yet a unified definition or agreement as to the nature of humanitarian intervention but it is clear that it is an important issue internationally and it is therefore interesting to see how this has affected the debate within individual countries. This study will thus examine the international development surrounding humanitarian intervention in relation to the official position taken by the Swedish government. Jönsson, J & Persson, T Afasi. En litteraturstudie om kommunikation vid afasi orsakad av stroke. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 10 poäng. Malmö högskola: Hälsa och samhälle, utbildningsområde omvårdnad, 2007. Afasi är ett samlingsnamn för språkliga skador och kan drabba människor i alla åldrar. Cirka 12 000 personer drabbas årligen i Sverige av afasi vilket är en vanlig åkomma efter stroke. Individen med afasi och dennes anhöriga känner en frustration då de inte kan kommunicera med varandra, sjuksköterskan går här in och stöttar både patient och anhöriga.

AbstractThe intention of our study is to examine how the view of homeless people and their life situation looks according to a selection of persons, which in their work get into contact with homeless people. The study is based on a qualitative method that includes interviews.The result of the study is based on interviews with eight persons working in the social services, volunteer organisations, the police and a security organisation. The majority of the persons that have been interviewed are normalising homeless people; they do not look upon them as different. At the same time they have the opinion that homeless people live a tougher life and that they have to fight more for their living than other people. The persons that we have interviewed share the view that homeless people live under a constant pressure of finding a place to sleep.

This essay investigates the relation between ?usage? and ?hearing? of dialectal words and expressions in the Ryukyu islands, Japan, in this case words and expressions from a mix of Ryukyuan and standard Japanese, so called uchinaa-yamatoguchi. A survey was conducted and in the questionnaires the respondents were asked to fill in the degree of usage and hearing of each word and expression, consisting of three alternatives each; use often, use seldom and never used - hear often, hear seldom and never heard.My findings show a stable pattern in the relation between usage and hearing, where the usage is relatively low compared to hearing in almost every case. Among the most frequently used ones, one could find words and expressions connected to food, festivals, type of person, adjectives, adverb and animals etc..

This paper deals primarily with the developmental potential and use of court -based mediation in Swedish law, and its relation to court-based conciliation and the judicial procedure as means to end a conflict.  In Chapter 42, Section 17 of the Swedish Code of Judicial Procedure, a judge, before the parties have their main hearing, can act as a mediator between the parties to settle the dispute. The judge should, according to the law, always try to make the parties come to an agreement before the main hearing. This obligation can be fulfilled either through the use of court-based conciliation, or court based mediation. Mediation as such is rarely used in Sweden, and one of the goals of this essay is to try to provide a tentative answer to why that might be the case.  The second goal is to try to find a consistent, yet flexible notion, of the concept of ?jurisdiction?, and to provide an explanation for the relation between mediation as an alternative method for dispute resolution and the judicial procedure.                                                                                                                                            .

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka ledarskap i Svenska kyrkan. Utifrån Svenska kyrkans organisation och framtida utmaningar så är det intressant att se på vilken typ av ledarskap som finns idag och även den typ som ses som det ideala. Frågorna som jag sökt svar på är: Hur ser kyrkoherdars ledarskapsstil ut idag? Vilken typ av ledarskapsstil är önskvärd inför framtiden? Genom en enkätundersökning riktad till 300 kyrkoherdar och komministrar så kom det in 105 svar. I enkäten har respondenterna fått bedöma dels hur deras nuvarande kyrkoherdar agerar (kyrkoherdarna gjorde här en självskattning) dels beskrivit hur en ideal kyrkoherde agerar.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka vad utvalda K3-företag anser om utformandet av K3, i relation till innehållet i IFRS for SMEs.Metod: Studien genomförs med en kvalitativ metod och är av fenomenografisk karaktär. Intervjuer genomförs med BFN samt fyra potentiella K3-företag. Dessa analyseras sedan i en fenomenografisk analys.Slutsats: Skillnaderna som föreligger mellan K3 och IFRS for SMEs beror på förenkling och laganpassning. De undersökta företagen är mer nöjda de förändringar som beror på laganpassning än de som beror på förenkling. De företag som har minst internationell koppling väljer i större utsträckning K3.

The drama of Kristina Lugn?s Kvinnorna vid Svansjön (The women by the Swan Lake) takes place in the dialogue and language; the same ambiguous language that is found in Lugn?s poetry. In this essay I examine how meaning and dramatic tension is created in the dialogue of Kvinnorna vid Svansjön.I describe the play, using concepts from various drama theories. However, the most important concepts of classical drama theory such as "story" and "plot" are not really applicable. This is because of the contradictory information given in the dialogue.

Syfte Syftet med studien är att kritiskt analysera hur ?utbildning till entreprenörskap? talas om, vilket samhälle som konstrueras, samt hur eleven konstrueras som subjekt i samband med den svenska gymnasiereformen som antogs av riksdagen 2009. Syftet ligger till grund för följande frågor: ? Vilka diskurser artikuleras i talet om utbildning till entreprenörskap? ? Vilket samhälle konstrueras inom ramen för dessa diskurser? ? Hur konstrueras eleven som subjekt inom ramen för dessa diskurser? ? I vilken relation står diskurserna i den nutida gymnasiereformen till 1990-talets svenska skolreform?Teori och metodStudien tar sina teoretiska och metodlogiska utgångspunkter i den kritiska diskursanalysen. Ett foucauldianskt perspektiv ligger till grund för förståelsen av diskurs och subjekt i relation till koncepten regementalitet och hegemoniska diskurser.

The main purpose of this study was to inquire into personality and the state anxiety in relation to career decidedness scale among students in upper secondary school. The participants were 124 students in three grades and respectively non vocationally oriented classes. The participants were asked to grade themselves on a scale in relation to the statements regarding, state of decidedness for career choice, personality (NEO FFI, Costa & McCrae, 1985. Sweden, Gerontologic Center) and anxiety (AnTI, Wells, 1994). The results showed no significant relationship between personality and state of anxiety that could be connected to the decidedness for career choice.

The history of Banu Umayya has since the collapse of the caliphate occupied a major part in Islamic historiography. The present thesis analyses the presentation of the Umayyads in Ibn Khaldun?s al-Muqaddima and its relation to previous historical traditions. The thesis examines the social and intellectual context in which Ibn Khaldun stood and how it is represented in his historiography, while also providing an overview of the various socio-political, intellectual and historiographical developments in Islam. The theoretical perspectives are based on the concept of agency, examining the intellectual room for manoeuvre that the historian disposed of while composing the works.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate issues concerning librarians? view on three genres, (a) popular literature for women, (b) popular literature for men and (c) erotic literature, when choosing what to buy for their libraries. A qualitative method has been used and the empery consists of seven qualitative interviews with altogether eight librarians involved in choosing and buying literature. The theoretical framework is built on theories regarding concepts of hegemony and cultural hegemony; the male sex as norm; taste culture and quality. The results show that three of the libraries in the study have a written purchase policy and that the policies that exist are very general.

The aim of the study has been to explore what participation and hope means for persons with disabilities living in an institution called Horizon House, in Stellenbosch South Africa. The aim has also been to discover the South African approach to disability and how Horizon House fits into this approach. Horizon House is an institution and a protective workplace in Stellenbosch for adults whose main impairment is of an intellectual nature but there are also physical and emotional disabilities. Another aim has been to explore the perspectives of the residents. The research questions of the study are: ? What does participation imply for the residents of Horizon House?? What does Hope represent for the residents of Horizon House?? What importance can hope have for people with disabilities, in their approach towards increased participation? We travelled to South Africa during a two week period in March 2009, where we participated at the protective workplace of Horizon House.
