Virtual Communities is an increasingly common phenomenon on the Internet. Most of the Virtual Communities are operated and maintained on a non-profit basis with a direction towards entertainment. However, as more state administrated and commercial services become web-based, we believe that the number of Virtual Communities with a community-based or commercial direction will increase in a near future. In this thesis, we describe our participation in, and studies of, a number of Virtual Communities with focus on the IRC-channel ?3dfxsweden?.

Bakgrunden till denna studie grundar sig i att den svenska mediebranschen har genomgÄtt stora förÀndringar under de senaste Ären. Det Àr framför allt förÀndringar inom teknik som har skett och detta har Àndrat sÀttet som individer anvÀnder och konsumerar nyheter. Detta har lett till att mÄnga företag inom dagstidningsbranschen just nu omstrukturerar sina verksamheter och söker efter nya möjligheter till intÀkter. Viljan Àr att anpassa sina verksamheter för unga vuxna (20-39 Är). Detta vill de uppnÄ genom att till exempel utveckla nya affÀrsmodeller.

VÄr studie syftar till att genom empiriska studier ta reda pÄ sex enskilda lÀrares uppfattningar om den första tiden som yrkesverksam. Vi vill identifiera de faktorer som under perioden upplevs som de största utmaningarna. Det finns ett samhÀlleligt intresse i den hÀr frÄgan eftersom mÄnga lÀrare under sin första tid vÀljer att lÀmna yrket. Vi gjorde kvalitativa intervjuer med sex olika lÀrare som arbetat frÄn ett till Ätta Är. Parallellt med intervjuerna genomförde vi litteraturstudier för att sÀtta oss in i Àmnet och se vad tidigare forskning kommit fram till.

ABSTRACTClimate Change in the Daily PressAn Analysis of the Representation Swedish Daily Papers Convey Through Their Editorials About the Climate ChangeThe purpose of this essay is partly to present how swedish daily papers describe the climate change through their editorials and partly to examine if their politcal affiliation effect their point of view about the climate change. The search incluedes editorials from 6 daily papers (Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Göteborgstidningen, Nerikes Allehanda and Svenska Dagbladet) from the year 1997 to the year 2003. Three discourses and the order between them, found by a former analysis (Adger and others, 2001) of the international politics of climate change, are used as types of ideal in a form of an analysis of idea.The analysis reveals that the swedish daily papers don?t give the problem any major attention. Only a total of 65 editorials about the climate change could be found even though the papers produces several thousands during the period.

International negotiation is the link between international planning and implementation. The ability to negotiate successfully may very well depend on the efforts being put into preparatory activities, leading to the purpose of this research, to gain a better understanding of pre-negotiation in an international context, by exploring, describing and partly explaining the process. Personal interviews were conducted with two Swedish international companies to obtain thorough information within the area. The collected data from these two cases are discussed, compared and then finally used to draw general conclusions. The study indicates the different issues that either occur or should be considered prior to the first formal meeting in an international negotiation.

Syftet Àr att undersöka och beskriva vilka faktorer det Àr som pÄverkar kunderna nÀr de vÀljer ett lokalt apotek och Àven undersöka möjliga samband som kan pÄvisas mellan upplevd kundlojalitet och nÄgra av de undersökta faktorerna.En kombination av en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ studie genomfördes, med huvudfokus pÄ den kvantitativa metoden. Först gjordes miniintervjuer med tre olika apotekschefer pÄ en lokal apoteksmarknad. Efter det genomfördes en kvantitativ studie bland kunder pÄ de tre apoteken. Respondenterna fick ta stÀllning till om pÄstÄendena stÀmde mycket bra, stÀmde bra, stÀmde mindre bra eller inte stÀmde alls. De insamlade data fördes sedan in i Excel dÀr svaren analyserades.I analysen gjordes först sambandsanalyser genom klusteranalyser, spridningsdiagram och Àven stapeldiagram.

This study rises up an untouched area of ??research where the relationship between newly arrived parents and teachers is examined from a structural perspective. Previous research has looked only at the interaction between parents and teacher; this study is thus a theoretical contribution to the research. The aim of the study is met by examining the perceptions newly arrived parents have of their meeting with the Swedish school, the relationship with their children?s teacher, cooperation, collaboration between home and school, as well as their own influence in their children's learning.

The thesis explores representations of fatherhood in the Swedish blog 'Hemliga pappan' ('Secret/Anonymous Daddy'). The purpose is to identify three themes in the blog material; The Father, The Son and The Partner. I have performed this study using discourse analysis as methodological tool and Critical Studies on Masculinities and Fatherhood as theoretic approach. The theories are Social Constructionist and consist of sociologists and socio-psychologists as Connell, Hearn and Johansson. Important theoretic concepts are the presence and absence of the father as well as hegemonic masculinity.

Our Bachelor?s Thesies has been performed in co-operation with Cellplast Direkt AB inLaholm. Our task was to develop a construction that cuts gussets to ceiling disposition as isused to isolation.Our goal with our construction was to increase the degree of automation so that theproductivity increased and also meet the market which is getting tougher and tougher due tothe future business cycle.Cellplast Direkt gave us free hands in order to enable new ideas. A pair different principleproposal was developed and prepared to a final structure.The Bachelor?s Thesies resulted in one PLC - governed machine with three engines that runthree different moves, wich does that the degree of automation increases and the risk forerrors decreases.We have developed a complete production bases to Cellplast Direkt and our hope is that thecompany comes to produce the machine in the future..

Det finns flera olika sÀtt att sÀkerhetskopior, nÄgra vanliga sÀtt Àr lokal sÀkerhetskopiering, fjÀrrbaserad sÀkerhetskopiering och sÀkerhetskopiering som lagras pÄ en molnplattform. DÄ det finns mÄnga leverantörer som erbjuder molnbaserade lösningar som gör det möjligt för en anvÀndare att lagra filer pÄ respektive plattform kommer enbart molntjÀnsterna, ?Mega? och ?Dropbox for Business? att anvÀndas. För att besvara delfrÄga 1 utförs en litteraturstudie med tillhörande analys, för att besvara delfrÄga 2 och 3 kommer flertalet kvasiexperiment att utföras i en labbmiljö. Dropbox har en speciell avdelning som sysslar enbart med sÀkerhetsrelaterade frÄgor som föresprÄkar att AES med 256 bitars kryptering bör anvÀndas.

In relation with structure transformation in farm companies with bigger animal population and pressure at the milk price, the farmers in both countries have to invest more money in the company to endure. This had conduct what more owners had seen grown requirements to invest in bigger population barns. The investment is necessary to retain stability in the economy for the companies, at that time when the profitability for small production barns decrease. This essay carries out through a case, there the activities main part are milk production. The present operation consists of 82 milk cows in long stall with a yield on 10 500 kg ECM. The idea is that the company should increase the activity to 180 cows.

This study examined the factors influencing dairy farmersÂŽ decisions to invest in automated milking systems (AMS). The problem studied involves uncertainty, information and complexity for dairy farmers in specific decision contexts. The frame of reference in the thesis combines contingency theory and decision theory and is used in a qualitative analysis of a set interview with dairy farmers who have recently bought an AMS and salespersons from Delaval, one of the AMS suppliers.The aim of this study is to develop an understanding of the decision making processes of dairy farmers, and in particular to identify which types of factors influence the outcome of an investment decision in the technological development of a farm.The study uses Thompsons` (1967) theory about the structure that organizations develop to handle the input of information. Thus, interest is focused on how a farm business structure handles information in the AMS decision, investigating the differences in information with Delaval?s "feed first principle" system and Lely?s "free cow traffic" system.The results of the qualitative interviews with the dairy farmers who bought an AMS show that there are three important factors that influence the outcome: employees, suppliers and the owner.

Arbetet har för avsikt att utreda möjligheter och hinder som finns vad gÀller profilering i Kalmar stad, samt vilka faktorer som pÄverkar och vad det kan ha för konsekvenser. Undersökning och kartlÀggning av profilering har gjorts för att avgöra hur Kalmar arbetar aktivt med stadens image, evenemang och varumÀrke. Huvudfokus i arbetet kretsar kring nyckelord som profilering, destinationsutveckling, image och evenemang som alla binds samman för att utmynna i arbetets syfte.Arbetet grundas i en deduktiv ansats med en kvalitativ studie i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer.
