Half of Sweden?s 140 000-150 000 sows are culled and replaced by 75 000 gilts annually. Culling of old sows is necessary and allows new breeding material to enter the herd. However, many of the culled sows are young, and have not yet become profitable at the time for culling. Therefore, it is an important question for the pig industry, how to raise gilts to sows with a high and sustainable production level.

Syftet med följande studie var att beskriva interaktionella mönster i en familj med två barn som stammar. Familjen filmades sju gånger under måltidssituationer. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är en etnometodologisk syn på deltagares egna metoder och praktiker att organisera sina gemensamma sociala aktiviteter. Studien använder Conversation Analysis (CA) som analysmetod för att undersöka interaktionella mönster i familjen. Studien har undersökt barns samtalsturer med stamningssekvenser, samt hur personer i samtalssituationen responderar på dessa i olika samtalskontexter och med vilka praktiker.

Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

I denna uppsats undersöks hur deltagarkulturen ser ut på gräsrotsnivå, hos de som skriver och läser fan fiction. Utifrån två fan fic-berättelser undersöks interaktionen mellan författare och läsare. Eftersom forskningen inom fan fiction och deltagarkulturer belyser möjligheten till lärande undersöks hur och om konsumenternas produktion på denna nivå främjar lärandet i skapandet av fan fiction. En intressant aspekt när det gäller deltagarkulturen är hur gränsen mellan producent och konsument blir diffus. Kan man, utifrån undersökningen utläsa om gränsen mellan dessa, producent och konsument ? författare och läsare ? upplöses? Frågeställningar för undersökningen är:Hur interagerar läsarna och författarna med varandra?På vilka sätt engagerar sig läsarna i berättelsen och dess utveckling? Hur förhåller de sig till författarens tolkning och hur ser de/använder de sin roll som läsare?På vilka/vilket sätt uppmanar och/eller uppmuntrar författarna kommentarer och respons från sina läsare? Hur hanterar de kommentarerna?I vilken utsträckning framträder en informell lärmiljö på communityt? Hur ser den ut och kännetecknas den av deltagarkulturen?.

Dagens  samhälle  erbjuder  ett  allt  svårare  marknadsföringsklimat  med  många  konkurrenter. Teknologin  har  fått  en  stor  plats  i  det  dagliga  livet  och  allt  fler  företag  kommunicerar  via kundklubbar  genom  kanaler  som  mobil  marknadsföring.  Denna  uppsats  lägger  fokus  på vilken påverkan mobil marknadsföring har på kunden och om de upplever detta fenomen som något positivt. Uppsatsen går även närmare in på tre butikschefers syn på detta och huruvida kommunikationen  via  kundklubbar  har  en  positiv  effekt  på  kunden  eller  inte.  Enligt  vår undersökning  om  mobiltelefonen  som  marknadsföringskanal  så  har  respondenterna  delade åsikter. Många ansåg att det var ett smidigt tillvägagångssätt medan andra upplevde det som ett irritationsmoment. Det är därmed viktigt att företagen värnar om relationen till kunden och låter  dem  avgöra  hur  kontakten  sinsemellan  ska  se  ut.  Kundklubbar  i  allmänhet  har  fått  en positiv respons, vilket grundar sig främst på erbjudandena som företagen skickar ut till sina kunder.  Kundklubbar  har  visat  sig  locka  fler  till  butiken,  vilket  i  sin  tur  kan  skapa merförsäljning..

The purpose of this work was that with the help of a literature review have a single document with information on how the various species: brown bear (Ursus arctos), lynx (Lynx lynx) and the wolf (Canis lupus) living in the wild. The aim was also to show which stereotypic behaviours these different species have in zoos and the enrichments that is already being used and to make suggestions and recommendations on enrichment based on animal behaviour ecology. In zoos, some species thrive well while others have propositions to propagating problems, poor health and stereotypic behaviors. The brown bear, lynx and wolf, live both in the wild and in zoos in Sweden. As these animals have different ways of living in the wild, it is important to accommodate to each species, the way they are kept in zoos in accordance with their behavioural ecology.Brown bears are omnivorous and solitary living species with large energy needs so that they spend most of their day to actively feeding but also rest.

The aim of this study is to examine the Christian community called Plymouth Brethren and how they interpret religion in relation to their entrepreneurship and business practices. The community has a strong faith in God, uses the Bible as the guiding principle in everyday life, and also has the ambition to live together within the group in seclusion from the rest of society.Based on interviews with Plymouth Brethren in the county of Småland, the study describes how they perceive the relationship between the Christian faith and entrepreneurship and practice religion in the context of their family business. As the study illustrates the Christian faith is significantly motivating their enterprises of business and the Bible is their guiding principle even when it comes to how they should run their businesses..

This essay discusses people's perception of what is important for their well-being where they live. The main aim has been to find out what factors in the outdoor environments of the city are appreciated and why they are valued positively. A comparison has been made between Uppsala in Sweden and Tarapoto in Peru to see if, and in that case what, differences can be found in the values of people. I chose to carry out a survey study that got a response rate of 57 persons in Tarapoto and 63 in Uppsala. The results show that there are some common basic values, but on the whole the outdoor environments are valued differently in the two cities. In short, the Peruvians value functionality, cleanliness, small distances to family and service, while the Swedes value a central location and short distances to friends apart from functionality and good service opportunities. Conceivable reasons for this might be for example different cultural prerequisits, material standard and climate. .

Gastric ulcer is a common disease among pigs in the whole world where an intensiveproduction occurs. It is mainly the upper region, the nonglandular region of the stomach thatis affected. Gastric ulceration is a disease with several risk factors. The factor that seems tohave the largest impact on the development of gastric ulceration is a small particle size of thefeed. The reported prevalence of gastric ulceration differs from 5 to 100 % and it is a largeherd-to-herd variation.

Har du lätt att hålla motivationen till att träna? Tidigare studier har visat att 42 procent avden europeiska befolkningen som vill träna har svårt att hålla igång. Between 1965-1974 one million new flats were produced in Sweden and the project is called the millionprogramme. One of the areas that was build during this period of time is Rosengård in Malmoe. Today Rosengård is a very segregated area, not just in relation to the city of Malmoe, but within itself. I´ve chosen to study the ideologies behind one of the actors acting and non acting regarding the segregation complex of problems in Rosengård, the housemanagers. I´ve studied one public housecompany and two houseassociations who all owns and manages houses in Rosengård.The ideologies that I´ve studied in this study is what the informers think of the people that live in Rosengård, the society in general, Rosengård and the diffrent smaller areas within Rosengård.

In the past, the meaning of marriage has been an agreement between two people to live together and have children in a legitimate manner. The marriage was not just to form a couple; it was also to merge two families together. From the early 1900s until today the allegation of marriage and its influence got a significant change compared to early societies which have aroused my interest to perform this into a research paper. My study is focused on marriage and social changes during the 1900s. Thoughts that arise now is that why there was a remarkable change in the marriage rate during the 1900s and whether there were any social changes had to do something with it.

Today, we live in a consumption society. We buy products to soothe our needs and desires. Thru material things we can express our own personal identity and shopping is seen more as a pleasure than a need to survive. With the background media- and communication studies, the reason of this study was to explore how blogs as a social medium can influence the consumption ideal in society. With dialogical analysis and semiotic analysis we wanted to see if we could find a specific consumption culture in the content of six blogs we did our studies on. We found that the blogs showed us that there is normal to have everyday luxury and spoil oneself with expensive things.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att utreda och diskutera vad i händelsekedjan vid orgelspel som påverkar touchen i klaviaturer kopplade till digitala respektive akustiska instrument och att jämföra skillnaden för det musikaliska uttrycket. Frågeställningar jag utgick ifrån var: ?Vad i händelsekedjan, från tangent till klingande ljud, är av betydelse för en bra touch?? samt ?Vilken betydelse har klaviaturen för de musikaliska uttrycksmöjligheterna??För att utreda ovanstående har jag mätt upp spel- och bottenvikter hos olika klaviaturer. Som konstnärlig del valde jag att spela in ett stycke av Klaus Huber till grund för de resonemang jag fört kring olika delar av klaviaturer och dess påverkan på det musikaliska uttrycket. I resultatdiskussionen konstaterade jag att mekaniska klaviaturer upplevs mer levande just på grund av sin ojämnhet.

AbstractHomosexuality is surely accepted in today´s society - or isn´t it? Many things have changed, for instance laws, which are in favour for homosexuals, have been introduced, in Sweden that is. As we although know, many things are not only dependent on what laws tell us to do. The society also contains values and norms and they furthermore exist in individuals. Regarding sexuality, the norm is heterosexuality.How much does the norm affect our way of living? In what way is it encouraged? What happens to people who don´t live up to the norm? How is it to be homosexual in today´s society? These are some of the questions that we look upon in this paper.
