The purpose of this study is to increase an understanding of what prevents the mandatory reporting law, based on the preschool staff's approach to mandatory reporting law about child abuse and neglect to social services, and how these barriers affect their decision to report. The study will also understand what preschool staff experience facilitates the mandatory reporting process and what can be done to improve the process even more. The questions of the study were based on the purpose of the study and have been formulated in two questions:What prevents the mandatory reporting law requirements for preschool staff and how can these barriers be removed? What facilitates for preschool staff to be confident in the decision to report child abuse and neglect, to social services?The study used qualitative semi-structured interviews with five people working at the preschool, including two preschool teachers and three childcare workers. An interview guide was designed as a help to answer the questions about what the barriers are and what it is that makes it easier for the preschool staff, regarding the decision to report cases of child abuse and neglect to social services.The results, based on the five interviews , shows preschool staff's thoughts of the knowledge on the mandatory reporting law, the mandatory reporting process, their perspective of the mandatory reporting law and the uncertainty surrounding the mandatory reporting law.The study's analysis consists of the results that have been analyzed using the theory of social representations, in which the analysis shows an understanding of how the preschool staff act and think about the mandatory reporting law requirements based on their everyday knowledge.

This is a study of the novel Mes mauvaises pensées (2005) by the French writer Nina Bouraoui. I use an intertextual comparative method, where I read the novel against three intertexts: Marie Cardinal Les mots pour le dire (1975), the David Lynch movie Mulholland Drive (2001) and novels and photographies by Hervé Guibert. Main focus is on the relation between body and language. Using the psychoanalytic theories by Julia Kristeva I examine the melancholy of the narrator in Mes mauvaises pensées. The melancholic subject mourns a Thing which is the unrepresentable archaic mother.

Under 2000-talet har den xenofobiska publikopinionen växt, i såväl styrka som mängd. Främlingsfientliga och rasistiska stereotyper används ideligen i diverse mediekanaler och i och med yttrandefrihetens förflyttning till bland annat digitala plattformer möjliggörs ett allt grövre språk (Ekman 2011:2).Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur bloggen Exponerat, en av de största invandringskritiska sajterna i Sverige, ur ett främlingsfientligt perspektiv representerar och remedierar invandrar-och invandringsrelaterade nyheter från etablerade mediekanaler. Vidare ville vi skapa en förståelse för xenofobins kognitiva dimensioner genom att diskutera och problematisera enskilda kommentarer till blogginläggen.Uppsatsens metodologiska ram utgick ifrån kritisk diskursanalys (CDA) med element ur konversationsanalys (CA). Vårt material bestod av 9 stycken blogginlägg och deras tillhörande förlagor, vilka valdes ut för vidare analys efter att vi tagit del av en veckas inlägg på bloggen, cirka 250 stycken. Dessa nio inlägg fördelades sedan under kategorierna brott, ekonomi och mångkultur med tre inlägg i varje kategori.

SammanfattningExamensarbetets syfte är att ge en övergripande bild om vad BIM egentligen är och hur arbetsmetoden ska kunna påverka byggprocessen positivt. Rapporten fokuserar på anläggningsbranschen och då främst från en projektörs perspektiv. Ett projekteringsexempel visar även på hur en anläggningsmodell kan skapas med hjälp av en programvara som stödjer arbetsflöden i BIM.BIM kan utläsas Building Information Model och avser då den eller de modeller som utgör en digital objektbaserad representation av en byggnad eller en anläggning. BIM kan även utläsas Building Information Modeling och avser då ett arbetssätt, d.v.s. processen att skapa och använda en eller flera byggnadsinformationsmodeller i bygg- eller anläggningsprocessen.Det finns många fördelar med att använda BIM, inte bara i husbyggnad utan även i anläggningsbranschen.

This thesis is performed at Saab Bofors Dynamics in Karlskoga and investigates a technique for ranging with laser pulses. The investigated technique is called Constant Fraction Detection (CFD). Described briefly, the received laser pulse is split into two equal parts, where one part is delayed half the pulse width and inverted. This signal is added to the original pulse. The resulting curve has the shape of a laying S and the detection of the zero level is used to stop the time measurement.

A growing need to strengthen ones position on the market, even as a city in competition with other cities, has resulted in an increasing number of municipalities developing brand platforms. When the city of Umeå developed their platform, they identified decision makers and investors as one of four important target groups.The aim of this study is to explore the portrayed image of the city of Umeå in two Swedish trade journals which addresses the specific target group decition makers and investors in both public and private sector. The aim is also to compare the image of Umeå in the two papers, to the ambition of the municipality, expressed in the brand platform.In order to make the observations as firmly established as possible, the method of the study is a combination of a quantitative content analysis and a qualitative text analysis. The study draws on the theories of Eli Avraham and Philip Kotler, concerning how to improve city images and how to market a specific city among others. The study shows that the city of Umeå in large extent is portrayed in accordance to the ambition which the municipality expressed in the brand platform.Umeå is displayed as an expanding city.

Vad är kvalité i vår utemiljö? I många fall anses landskapets huvudsakliga kvaliteter ligga i dess visuella intryck. Men våra bestående minnen av ett landskap handlar sällan om enbart visuella kvaliteter, utan betydligt oftare om känslor och upplevelser som kan vara svåra att beskriva. Hur beskriver man till exempel känslan av att springa barfota i gräset, doften av skog, eller hur vinden griper tag i kroppen? Idén till denna uppsats uppkom när jag, efter flera års studier på landskapsarkitektpro-grammet, fortfarande ansåg mig vara relativt okunnig i de meningsskapande kvaliteter som landskapet erbjuder människan genom andra sinnen än synen.

Soil properties affect the chemical composition of soil water. When studying transport of chemical substances through a basin, it is therefore important to know from which soil layer the main part of the runoff is generated. The aim of this study is to develop an HBV/PULSE model with merged soil moisture and response routines, which generates good approximations of groundwater levels. It should be possible to extend the model to simulate transport of substances and take into account which soil layer the groundwater level is currently in. The hydrological version of HBV/PULSE is used since there is no need to account for pH or alcalinity at this stage.

I 4D CAD kombineras 3D CAD modeller med planeringsdata. Därmed är det möjligt att spela upp produktionsskedet sekventiellt, och produktionen kan simuleras i förväg. Genom simulering av olika produktionsstrategier kan produktionsplaneringen optimeras. I ett fåtal projekt har användningen av 4D CAD för byggprocess av platsgjutna betongstommar studerats. För att göra ytterligare studier av 4D CAD relaterad till platsgjuten betong har detta examensarbete inriktats på att studera hur ytor innanför fasaden kan utnyttjas för att visa arbetsflödet under produktionen av byggnadsprojekt med platsgjuten betong samt att utarbeta arbetsmanualer för framtagande av 4D CAD modeller.

SammanfattningIntensiva fallstudier av dagspressens representationer av humanitära aktioner Biafra 1968 och på Afrikas horn 2011 möjliggör en jämförelse i hur skildringen av det svältande Afrika förändrats över tid. Uppsatsens syfte har, med denna komparativa ansats, fokuserat på hur den utrikesjournalistiska diskursen skapar Oss och de Andra. Detta har undersökts med följande frågeställningar:Hur framställs de behövande och de som hjälper?Legitimeras humanitära aktioner? I så fall: hur?Vad har detta med utrikesjournalistikens diskursiva praktiker att göra?Hur kan detta kopplas till ideologier, maktrelationer och kulturella värderingar i den sociokulturella kontexten?Med postkolonial teori har utgångspunkten varit att undersöka hur kolonialismen som ideologi, som en del av det svenska, kollektiva minnet, inverkar på journalistiken. Den empiri som ligger till grund för analyserna består sammanlagt av fyra publikationer från Dagens Nyheter som, med sin ledande ställning, representerar dagspressen.

The idea to this bachelor thesis was born after carefully following the coverage of Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media during their imprisonment in Ethiopia from June 2011 to September 2012. Based on our interest we designed two questions to answer throughout the thesis. These are:(1) How are Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye portrayed as journalists in the discussion about them that has taken place in Swedish media?(2) How is the journalistic profession described in the discussion about Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media? To answer these questions we decided to analyse texts that can be defined as the genre of opinion journalism, which all came from Swedish printed media. We have chosen 16 texts to analyse which show the variety of ways to write about Persson and Schibbye in the chosen genre during the chosen period of time. Opinion journalism is what newspapers use to attract readers, as they want to supplement the news coverage with comments and analysis from ?experts?. Persson and Schibbye were imprisoned in Ethiopia in June of 2011, and weren?t released until 15 months later, in September of 2012. To analyse our material we have amongst others used theories regarding social constructionism, representation, discourse, the journalistic identity and the journalistic ideals that exist in Swedish society.
