Den här C-uppsatsen utforskar möjligheterna att utforma applikationer till interaktiva plattformar som lär barn att lösa abstrakta problem och samtidigt är användbara för lärare i skolmiljö. Uppsatsen presenterar olika teorier och använder sedan det insamlade materialet som utgångspunkt för att testa om och hur dessa teorier kan tillämpas i ett specifikt fall. The Northern Raccoon (Procyon lotor) belongs to the Carnivore-family and is a species endemic to North America. Every year hundreds of orphaned raccoon cubs are admitted into the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRCM), a non-profit organization where all injured or orphaned wild animals are admitted and receive quality health care with the goal of being released out into the wild. The WRCM routinely vaccinate all of the admitted raccoon cubs with a killed feline panleucopenia vaccine, but despite this there are outbreaks of parvovirus infection every year where up to 50% of the admitted cubs have been euthanized or died. The objective of this study was to determine whether vaccinating the admitted raccoon kits has any significant protective effect to developing clinical parvoviral disease. A single-blinded cohort study was designed with two parallel, independent groups. One group was given a dose of killed feline parvovirus vaccine at admission, and the other group was not given any vaccination at all. Assignment to the vaccinated or unvaccinated group was on a per-litter basis and done randomly by drawing lots out of a box.

There are a great possibility to shorten the time between mowing and preservation by spreading of ley crops in connection to the conditioning. In this case the cellular respiration (the plants breeding that consume sugar until the crop is ensiled) should not continue as long and the forage will perhaps get a higher nutritional value. The capacity of the next machine could also be higher because the rake gives swaths with a lot of material. There is also a possibility that spreading of ley crops gives the material a more homogeneous content of dry matter and that gives a reduced growth of clostridium. This is particularly important when the method of harvest doesn?t include any mixing of the material like it does with a round baler or silagewagon.

Olika funktioner utav intresse vilken mobiltelefonen kan innehålla, kommer även att diskuteras. Genom test utförande och workshop, för informationssamling och inspiration, vidare genom basering utav kända och kombinerade metoder, skapas det ett digitalt koncept. Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på vilka designprinciper som är viktiga för att en användare skall känna förtroende och trygghet när de handlar på en e-handelssida. Idag finns det tyvärr många e-handelssidor som är dåligt utformade och har dålig användbarhet. Det räcker inte att endast tekniken fungerar, utan användaren ska även förstå hur webbsidan används och hur denne ska navigera sig på webbsidan. Trygghet och förtroende är en viktig punkt för e-handelssidor, att handla på Internet ska kännas lika tryggt för kunderna som att handla i en vanlig butik. De huvudbegrepp jag har behandlat i denna studie är interaktionsdesign, informationsdesign och grafisk design.I min studie har jag valt att arbeta kvalitativt.

Utgångspunkten i detta magisterarbete inom ämnet Interaktionsdesign var att se varför barn i dagens skola tycker att skolarbetet blir tråkigare ju högre upp i årskurserna de kommer. Vidare drog jag slutsatserna, utifrån litteraturgenomgång, att någon gång i årskurs 4-6 börjar eleverna i skolan att tappa lusten för skolarbetet. Var det allt skolarbete eller bara vissa ämnen som eleverna tyckte var tråkigt? Varför var det tråkigt? Kunde jag göra något åt saken?.

During an investigation of animal welfare in animal production, the focus has for a long time been focused on the absence of stress, suffering and injuries, and positive emotions have not been prioritized. However, in recent years that has been drastically changed. The public interest have increased for buying animal products from animals that have had a decent life, which have led to that play, exploratory behavior and other positive behaviours has come to play a significant role in welfare assessment. The welfare of cattle is difficult to assess since there is currently no ancestors to study, it is thus difficult to determine which behaviors can be regarded as natural and thus positively related, acordingly the welfare of cattle have been forgotten and research on positive emotions of cattle have not been prioritized. The aim of this study was to observe which behavior growing cattle performe, and if there was any differences of which kind of behavior that was observed, if the cattle is keept on slatted floor or on a deep straw bedding. Furthermore, antoher purpose was to investigate if the observed behaviours indicate a positive, negative or natural welfare, and if it is possible to use the observed behaviours in a welfare assessment.

Sveriges barnbibliotek tappar besökare. Allt runt omkring oss förändras, men barnbiblioteken ser likadana ut. Vi vill i detta examensarbete ändra hur barn och ungdomar ser på biblioteket, så att de känner sig mer hemma i biblioteksmiljön och som följd av detta möjligtvis ökar barnens läslust. I stort vill vi göra biblioteket mer attraktivt och tilltalande för barnen. Vi har i tidigare projekt uppmärksammat att många barn och unga har intresse för teknik och detta valde vi att dra nytta av i Bokdjungeln.

Weaning is one of the most critical events in the piglet production with problems such as growth check and post-weaning diarrhea as a result. The lighter the piglets are when the growth check occurs, the harder they have to get back to normal growth rate. Creep feeding of piglets is used to reduce the problems by increasing the weaning weight and adapting the digestive tract to a starter diet. Hodge (1974) showed that the sow?s milk can not provide enough nutrients for maximal growth rate.

The impact of the distribution in the soil volume of two farm manures on the net mineralization and immobilization processes of nitrogen were studied in an incubation experiment. Cattle slurry and broiler litter were placed in the soil with three procedures for incorporation including placement on top of the soil (TOP), in the middle of the soil (MID) and mixed homogenously with the soil (MIX). During the two weeks of incubation, few significant differences in net mineralization were seen between TOP, MID and MIX. However, there was a tendency that MIX led to a larger net immobilization of N than placement at one point (TOP and MID). This is also the result in the literature.

Many interactive products constructed today is not produced towards a specific targetaudience and how they will interact with the product. This master's thesis follows the designprocess in the development of the Let's Walk webapplication. In the designprocess has users of the webapplikation been identified, prototypes developed and an interactive version has been evaluated. The Let's Walk webapplication is a fully working system used to administrate Let's Walk, an exercise competition between companies. Experts and users have been involved to evaluate the Let's walk high-fidelity webapplication prototype.

Hemsidan är den enskilt största kommunikationskanalen mellan Ericsson och potentiellt framtida anställda. Företaget har idag problem med att den globala karriärhemsidan inte uppfattas som användarvänlig av särskilt studenter, och detta examensarbete syftar till att definiera krav för hur en global karriärhemsida bör utformas för att vara användarvänlig och välkomnande för studenter.Med en användarcentrerad designstrategi och en teoretisk bas inom interaktionsdesign och human factor syftar avhandlingen till att förstå vad studenterna efterfrågar och hur Ericsson kan möta och överträffa dessa förväntningar. Tester, workshops, utvärderingar och intervjuer har använts för att iterativt utveckla en prototyp och kravspecifikation.Studien visar att det finns två huvudsakliga typer av användare att designa för: de med ett tydligt mål att hitta ett jobb och de som försöker ta reda på om företaget är av intresse. Vanliga känslor hos användarna att ta hänsyn till ärångest, ensamhet, beslutsamhet, spänning och glädje. Några av slutsatserna kring den befintliga karriärhemsidan är att den vänstra menyn inte är organiserad på ett sätt som hjälper användaren att hitta vad han/hon letar efter, innehållet i mitten är för allmän och tråkig för många användare och högerspalten används sällan, trots att den innehåller vissa användbara funktioner.

As part of an internship at Ericsson, this report was written to enhance the understanding of how it is to develop a system that is well established at the workplace. To improve an already existing system is not always as easy as many developers may think. In this report the pros and cons of developing an already existing system has been researched and analyzed. Do note that the results are only from one development of a specific system and that comparison of other developments has been made from other reports and not from experiencing it firsthand. It was found that the choices made can have an impact on further developing and it is important to write down what has been done.

Humans have always been fascinated by the thought of bringing non living objects to life. We wanted to explore the possibilities of trying to create an artefact that the audience would consider possess emotional states and have a life of its own. TaS is a interactive chair that functions as a social entity. The idea is to try and enhance the bond between human and artefact, based upon the emotional connection. We try and produce, enhance and maintain this bond through curiosity based interaction.
