Archaeological findings show that ski manufacturing goes back thousands of years in the Nordic region. There is a wealth of Literature and Film that deals with the subject, but it can be difficult to get an overall picture of how a specific type of traditional ski has been made. The starting point is the documentary "Skidmakaren i Gielas", where the viewer can follow Alfred Israelsson as he makes a pair of skis out of birch wood. However, the documentary lacks important information about how the skis are actually manufactured. Length, width and certain working steps are disclosed.

Det här projektet går ut på att skapa en effekt så att det ser ut som en olycka har varit framme på ett inspelat material. Syftet är att i första hand försöka skapa en liknande filmsekvens som i en redan producerad film men också att få förståelse för post produktions programmet Fusion. De tekniker som användes för att ändra det filmade materialet var att föra in bilder och skapa 3D-objekt och sedan använda 2D och 3D-tracking för att få de att sitta på plats. Resultatet blev en kort film som når upp till ursprungsmålen men som egentligen skulle behövt mycket mer tid för att bli riktigt bra..

Begreppet historiemedvetande har länge varit en del av ämnesplanen för historia, men inte förrän 2011 preciserades begreppet uttryckligen som centralt för undervisningen. Det är ett allomfattande och viktigt perspektiv för att eleverna ska kunna tolka sin omvärld, sin historia samt ålägga perspektiv på framtiden. Men det är samtidigt problematiskt eftersom det är motsägelsefullt och svårtolkat. Därför är syftet med utvecklingsarbetet att utforska olika arbetsmetoder för hur man kan utveckla elevers historiemedvetande och kunskaper genom att använda film som ett historiedidaktiskt verktyg. Att använda film med historiskt tema är inte heller utan problem, eftersom de aldrig kan återge de historiska händelserna exakt som det var.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how a context-specific form of abstracting of fiction film developed in relation to the cultural policy of Internationella biblioteket IB, theoretically can be motivated and practically shaped. The background of the cultural policy of IB is analysed and theoretical standpoints and problematic aspects regarding subject representation discussed. Theories which claim intersubjectivity as an ideal for subject representation and searches for objectivity in the process of subject analysis are criticised in light of the concept of interpretation as the only means to produce meaning and subjects in relation to fiction. Birger Hjørlands context-oriented theories of subject representation are used to theoretically motivate the context-specific form of abstracting. To suggest how a practical framework for abstracting can be created, film theoretical models of interpretation are examined in relation to the field of subject analysis and formal criteria of abstracting.

Denna uppsatsen undersöker varför våld i film är så utbrett och populärt. Jag använder mig av ett evolutionärbiologiskt perspektiv, som tidigare inte använts vid filmforskning i så stor utsträckning. Istället har filmforskning och andra studier på människans beteende oftast utgått ifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv. Uppsatsen är av typen ?forskningsöversikt? vilket innebär att jag inte har gjort någon klassisk analys på ett filmiskt verk eller empiriskt material, utan har sammanställt en stor mängd forskning från andra forskare.

The intention with this essay is to investigate how the narration of the South Korean film Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (Park Chan-wook, 2002) relates to the Hollywood pictures of today. An important change which David Bordwell pays attention to is an intensifying of former stylistic paradigms in what he denominates as intensified continuity. That said, Bordwell and Kristin Thompson are in agreement on that the new films still are predominantly classical. The neoformalistic standpoint which Thompson and Bordwell use appears however to contain some problematic implications.

This essay is a product of the author?s interest in silent films from Soviet, especially, documentary films. Before the 1920?s documentary filmmaking had mostly been limited to newsreels and short scenes. Only occasional feature-length documentaries had been made.

Svenska filmbranschen styrs av ett filmavtal mellan staten och olika aktörer i branschen. Detta avtal skall förnyas under år 2013. Staten har i en avsiktsförklaring för det nya avtalet uttryckt en vilja till en förändring kring villkoren för att få statligt stöd för filmproduktion i Sverige. En så kallad teknikneutralitet skall införas som innebär att filmproduktioner inte längre på förhand behöver ha säkrat en biografdistribution för att få statligt ekonomiskt stöd. Detta skulle kunna innebära en förändring för den svenska filmens distribution i Sverige som i nuläget består av tämligen fast ordning på visningsfönster, där just biografdistributionen har en särställning.Vår forskning behandlar svenska filmproducenters, distributörers och biografägares tankar och åsikter kring distribution av svensk långfilm i Sverige.

Denna uppsats har som mål att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, gestaltningen av psykopaten på film skiljer sig från psykiatrins beskrivning. Uppsatsen tar även upp människosynens påverkanpå dramaturgi och gestaltning.Den hermeneutiska analysen görs på tre amerikanska produktioner:American Psycho (Mary Harron, 2000), Basic Instinct (Paul Verhoeven, 1992) och Halloween(Rob Zombie, 2007). Analysen grundar sig främst på psykiatriska teorier av Robert D. Hare och filmteorier av Wayne Wilson.Slutsatsen i uppsatsen är, att filmerna baserar sina karaktärer på de karaktärsdrag psykiatrin anser vara typiska för psykopaten, men adderar faktorer till karaktären. Detta görs för att uppnå ökad underhållning och spänning.

3D-scanning har används en del i spel- och filmindustrin men har tidigare varit för dyrt för att användas av datografiker i en större skala. Under de senaste åren har en del billigare och bättre alternativ dykt upp och jag kommer i mitt arbete berätta om de olika 3D-scanningsteknikerna och diskutera vilken teknik som passar bäst för datorgrafiker. Jag kommer även att diskutera hur man som datorgrafiker kan behandla det skannade materialet så att det kan användas i spel och film..

Avsikten med vår undersökning är att undersöka lärares uppfattningar om filmmediet som undervisningsmaterial. Vi vill förstå filmmediets användningsområde samt få en inblick i lärares hantering av filmmediet i verksamheten. För att uppnå syftet har vi använt oss av e-enkäter och intervjuer. På skolorna tycks det finnas tekniska förutsättningar för att visa film och vårt resultat visar att oavsett ålder, kön och yttre förutsättningar tycks lärare regelbundet använda sig av filmmediet som undervisningsmaterial. Vi har även kommit fram till att det florerar en uppfattning om att språklärare oftare använder sig av filmmediet i sina ämnen än andra lärare.

During this project a photographer and an illustrator have explored if a single image can communicate a bigger whole, in this case a movie. By analysing five motion pictures with visual communication theories, semiotics and colour symbolism as tools, ten images was created. These images do not only consist of symbols, but also communicate the overall feeling and colour scheme of the movie.These images have been tested in interviews with six individuals, who, except for one, work with visual communication of some kind. They have studied the communication skills of the images from their own experiences.The result of the interviews showed that all images could not communicate a movie. One reason for this was that only a few of the test persons had seen two of the selected movies.

Based on 30 years of work experience in TV and film production, I have made a phenomenological analysis of my perception of meaning in work - how it arises and how it is undermined. The story starts in my experience of early professional film making in the 1980's and describes how a change to work in TV production required the development of a new professional identity. The text also illustrates how as a female director I have managed my role in a male dominated and structured work environment. Being defined as an exception from the male norm has pushed me towards femininist reflection and the need to redefine my own work role - the generally accepted view having felt uncomfortable. An analysis of structural change in TV and film production shows how market pressures and ways of thought have increasingly invaded cultural endeavour. Professional spheres of influence are weakened, while developments in the media are characterised by a commercialism which encroaches more and more upon artistic, spiritual and moral values. This attitude, where quality is in retreat, has transformedprogramme makers from creative originators into becoming suppliers of raw material in a factory- like process geared to produce great volume at low cost.The aim of this essay is to show how changes in society and in TV and film making have affected my perception of my work.

Problem area and purposeNowadays, 2006, the downloading of music and movies is an increasingly more burning issue. But while the music industry has made great progress in using the Internet as a distribution channel the film industry has been at a standstill for several years. Recently however there has been progress in the form of a few film companies beginning to offer their customers legal ways to acquire films over the Internet. But with this progress one central question arises, which this report will try to answer; what are the important factors for selling films as the Internet moves from primarily being a information channel to also functioning as a distribution channel? The purpose is to examine what the consumers find important when purchasing film, and to establish to what degree there is a substitution effect between DVDs and downloadable films.MethodThe report is first and foremost based on an Internet survey with a total of 383 participants.

This thesis treats lending figures of literature on religion at libraries in Vårgårda and Lerum.Formulated hypotheses are: The use of literature on religion is higher at the library in Vårgårdathan at the one in Lerum; In Lerum the most literature on religion is used by highly educatedpeople; Ethnic groups and librarians have an influence on the stock.The Christian literature has other patterns than other literature regarding selection criteria,reviews and distribution. The conclusions are: The fact that there are many members ofChurch and Chapel in Vårgårda, does reflect the number of loans of literature on religion in apositive way; Education does not influence, but distance between school and library; Thelibrarians' interest and therefore knowledge regarding religious topics has an impact on theirtreatment of religious books, while ethnic groups do not effect stock and use in either Vårgårdaor Lerum..
