This essay examines how age, power and agency is represented and reproduced in contemporary Swedish picture books.This is done through a combination of discourse analysis and literary analysis.It uses theoretical perspectives from sociology, and views childhood as a social construct. It sees discourse and language use as both representing and constructing social reality in the tradition of Norman Fairclough and critical discourse analysis. The main results is that the discourses of childhood in the material construct children as a separate group in society, and childhood as a special time in life. Den här uppsatsen handlar om turism och resande. Jag har valt att inrikta mig på storstadsturism och storstadsweekends i utlandet i min undersökning. Idag är storstadsturismen mycket stor, inte minst i Europa. Många turister väljer att åka på så kallade storstadsweekends, vilket innebär att man gör en kortare resa på några dagar till en storstad, ofta över en förlängd helg. Det handlar i de flesta fall om resor till europeiska huvudstäder, men resmålet kan även vara välkända städer i USA.

During the 19th centaury Liverpool was an industrial city of great magnitude owing to the well-established communication and infrastructure in the area. During the 1950?s the industry decrease swiftly - and although Liverpool as a city gain interest as a result of the sensation of the Merseybeat and The Beatles - the reduction continued through the 70?s and during the 80?s the people of Liverpool suffered from great unemployment. Today Liverpool is a post-industrial city with a growing experience economy that mainly benefits from The Beatles tourism and the Merseybeat-era. The focus of these studies is the experience economy in Liverpool as a result of globalization and production in the late modernity.

In this essay I analyse three of my own texts included in an unpublished collection entitled till Narcissus' minne. Genres are discussed and a detailed study of how the writing process has progressed is done. The essay does not follow any specific literary or scholarly method of analysis, but to some extent the sphere of interpretation is explored. By associative interpretation the special logic of dreaming, the activity of the unconsciousness and the expansive accessibility of the memories, which characterize the texts, is traced. These structural features open a link to the way of psychoanalytical interpretation, but the essay does not strive for a complete account.

Om generationen är en grupp som kan ses som målgrupp för en marknadsföringssatsning vill vi försöka ta reda på vilka kritiska faktorer som avgör valet av resmål. Syftet med vår uppsats är att utifrån ett destinationsmarknads-föringsperspektiv undersöka och förstå synen på en målgrupp.

The objective of this paper ? Trusting the reader: On impressionistic narrating in Stig Claesson's writings with the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård as starting point ? is to examine narrative techniques used by the Swedish author Stig Claesson, specifically some which fall within the broad field known as literary impressionism: e.g. omission, repetition, juxtaposition, episodic narration and how access to the narrator?s as well as individual characters' consciousness is handled.The method used for the study will be that of illustrative comparison. The analysis will seek its theoretical grounds in the works by Gerard Genette and Jonathan Culler.

Problematik: Precis som många andra turismföretag så präglas dykföretag av säsongsarbete. Under lågsäsongen arbetar året runt personalen med få turister och kollegor och under högsäsongen arbetar de intensivt tillsammans med säsongsarbetare i ett halvårs tid i en destination full av turister. När lågsäsongen närmar sig minskar turistmängden och säsongsarbetarna. Det är en livsstil för båda grupperna, men också en tillfällig period för säsongsarbetarna och en vardag för året runt personalen. Personalen har således olika förutsättningar, intressen och behov och deras arbetsmotivation skiljer sig beroende på om de är åretruntarbetare eller säsongarbetare.

This is accomplished by observing the different modalities inside the classroom and how the use of different modalities affects the teaching.
