This study highlights the importance of computer technology and its impact on elder care staff's skills development in the public sector. The government presents the digital agenda within which information and communication technology today is considered to have a potential for sustainability, growth and development. According to the EU Commission, there are several important elements that should be improved to digitize the workplace. Among these are digital Literacy, collaboration between agencies and increased investments in research, education and innovation. New technology can be understood in different ways by individuals, some see the computer as something positive and exciting, while others may find it hard to see the opportunities for learning and development.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att bidra till forskingen om konsumenters beteende kring varumärken. Det bidrag som denna uppsats ger till tidigare forskning är att den identifierar ett samband mellan konsumentens behov av varumärken (Need for Brand, NFB), varumärkesupplevelse (Brand Experience) och varumärkstillknytning (Brand Attachment). Detta sätts även i relation till varumärkeseffekter som tillfredställelse (Brand Satisfaction), lojalitet (Brand Loyalty) och viljan att betala ett premium pris för varumärken (Premium Price). Genom att kartlägga sambandet mellan dessa tidigare utforskade variabler skänker denna uppsats ett större djup till tidigare varumärkesforskning.NFB är ett område som det idag finns begränsade forskning om. Genom att belysa NFB i relation till de andra variablerna, lyfter uppsatsen konsumentens perspektiv i sammanhanget samtidigt som den betonar vikten för att företag också tar hänsyn till konsumentens behov.

SammanfattningSyftet med undersökningen är att ur ett genusperspektiv beskriva, belysa, tolka och reflektera kring företeelserna: pojkars och flickors receptioner av en text, deras uppfattning om det egna skrivandet och om genus kopplat till skrivandet. Genom tidigare elevsamtal hade jag mött några pojkar som ansåg att det fanns skillnader mellan könen vad det gäller att skriva. Det jag visste sedan tidigare var att pojkar presterar sämre än flickor betygsmässigt i alla ämnen utom i idrott oavsett klasstillhörighet, etnicitet eller var de bor. Att plugga inte är förenat med att vara cool om man är pojke. Min utgångspunkt var att eleverna skriver lika, men att pojkarna inte visar detta öppet för att upprätthålla sin status.

Det här utvecklingsarbetet har som syfte att ta fram språkutvecklande aktiviteter som motiverar och väcker elevernas nyfikenhet. Aktiviteterna är tänkta att tilltala flera sinnen. Jag har planerat fem aktiviteter som på olika sätt ska bidra till elevernas språkutveckling. Av dessa har jag genomfört tre och observerat två. Eleverna har bland annat tränat på att tala, lyssna, skriva och fantisera.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka teknikkunskaper lärare ansåg att elever bör ha i slutet av år 3. Studien inleddes med en innehållsanalys av vilka teknikkunskaper som presenterades i kursplan och läromedel. Dessa analyserades utifrån läroplanens syn på kunskap.  Sedan användes ett urval av teknikkunskaperna för att genomföra en enkätundersökning bland lärare i år 1-6 i en mellansvensk kommun. Teknikkunskaperna i läromedlen var många och varierade, vilket visade att kursplanen lämnat ett stort tolkningsutrymme för läromedelsförfattare. Enkäterna visade att de typer av kunskaper som lärarna värderade högst var färdigheter följt av fakta, förståelse och förtrogenhet..

In this paper, the aim was to investigate how the Swedish subject is projected in textbooks for grade 6 and grade 9. The study was conducted based on the grounds that teachers need to be aware of the increasing expectations placed on students? Literacyknowledge. To determine how well a textbook helps students to develop these skills, four textbooks? assignments have been analyzed using textual analysis based on learning theories, Literacypractices and Swedish substance conceptions.

The purpose of my study has been to find out how mother tongue teachers working in preschools where a majority of the children have a mother tongue other than Swedish make use of fictional children?s books during the mother tongue support lessons. In order to determine this, I am asking the following questions:- What is the range of children's books in the children's mother tongue available at the preschool?- In what ways are the native language teachers encouraging Literacy development through the usage of children's books?- How do native language teachers view the childrens? linguistic development as well as the enhancement of cultural identity through the usage of the books?These questions have formed the basis of the methodical approach, which is based on a qualitative research method. The data collection consists of three parts; the observation of mother tongue support, interviews with language teachers as well as with the nursery manager and lastly a survey of children's books in languages other than Swedish at the preschool.The essay has as its theoretical basis the socio-cultural view of learning and development.

The purpose of our study was to examine how three teachers and four students relate to the program "Fem myror" in teaching. We have been through qualitative interviews with two teachers and one special teacher received a detailed picture of how their Literacy programs made in relation to the "Fem myror." Qualitative interviews have also been made with four students, a boy and three girls, in order to examine their attitude to the program. From educators? interview answers, we think we can say that the theory and practice conform to what we read in the literature may be associated with what we observed during our time in the business. The study has shown that all teachers believe the program will be a good educational tool to take to read and write.

This study aims to investigate how and why teachers use social media to reach their students, and how they handle different levels of computer Literacy among students.The purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of teachers using social media in their teaching. I have done interviews with two teachers, who use social media in different ways. One of the teachers makes her students publish their work on the Internet on wiki-spaces, and the other one use Facebook for discussions and teamwork. This report uses the pedagogy theories laid forth by Vygotskij as a vantage point to analyze the answers from the teachers. I have also looked at some of the published student texts on the Internet.This study concludes there are students who don?t have access to computers and Internet at home.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to see how public libraries have adopted the new e-book readers and how the libraries think the e-readers will affect them in the future. There are three different theories in this study which are used to see how the e-book reader influences the libraries as an innovation and as a remediation from the paper book as well as its evolution. The authors have used four qualitative interviews where they have tried to find the most relevant librarians for the purpose. It was found that all the libraries in the study think that they need to learn about the e-reader and its functions to be able to understand users? needs, but they haven´t agreed if they should have the e-reader as a library loan.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate what prompts student nurses to seek information required to their educational tasks and how they evaluate and utilize that information. The questions addressed in this thesis regard how information retrieval becomes part of student nurses? social practice; which physical and intellectual tools student nurses make use of in their education; and which mediating resources they use to perform their tasks. Roger Säljö?s sociocultural approach provides the theoretical framework for this thesis.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to study how children's and youth librarians mediate non-fiction books in public libraries. Our overarching research question is as follows: to which extent, how, and for what reasons do children's and youth librarians mediate non-fiction? We have chosen to limit our study to the practice of booktalking.In order to answer questions on extent we conducted a quantitative survey of booktalking children's and youth librarians in Skåne. To answer our other questions on behaviour and attitudes we conducted observations and interviews with six librarians who include non-fiction in booktalks for children in primary school. As a way to study behaviour we examined librarians' selection criteria and methods.

Online social networks are a natural part of the lives of today?s western youth. Media and information Literacy is a central part of research in Library and Information science and until now there has always been more focus on these subjects in a learning context rather than in an every day life context.The aim of this study is to further examine how adolescent boys value and trust the information they receive via Twitter in their personal lives, and how this effects their view of their environment. The study was done with a qualitative method, where we conducted interviews with six boys who were all born in 1997. The results showed that they knew how to react critically to information on Twitter.

The purpose of this thesis is to gain insight into children`s voluntary reading in their spare time. I have focused on printed books and none of the digitally published Medias. I want to examine how children experience the power adult`s exercise over their chose of books and also why they choose the books they do. The method of this study is qualitative with interviews of six 10 years old children. I conducted the interviews detachedly and I have used two different point of view for my study; Aidan Chamber`s ?Reading Circle? and Barbro Johanssons opinions if children`s participation in terms of their voluntarily book selection.I have also studied other researchers and author´s writings about Literacy, children´s reading habits, adults´ attitudes to children´s reading and children´s passion for reading.During my study it became clear that children who like to read prefer to read detective stories for children, a result that also earlier investigations reached..
