This thesis describes the new construction of a small house and it includes studies of three heating systems: geothermal heating, district heating and pellet. The purpose of this thesis is to project a small house which can manage Building Regulations, BBR conditions and then examine three possible heating systems for the small house. This thesis is a literature study which gives an understanding of the heating systems technical structure, properties and costs. An empirical study completes the literature study by giving a deeper understanding of district heating costs and pellet costs. The empirical study contains two interviews, one of which was conducted in a district heating corporation and the other interview was conducted in a pellet corporation.

The aim of this master thesis is to study what relationship mentally disabled adults have with the public library and what factors affect their meeting with the library. The work of the library is also studied so that the experiences of the mentally disabled can be put in relation to the work performed for the group. The method used was interviews with four mentally disabled adults and one librarian responsible for the social function and availability at the library. As a theoretical framework Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model over the profiles of the library and Michael Buckland?s barriers, which must be overcome to achieve full access to information, were used.

This report explains the need to develop a configuration manager that handles transmission equipment which exists in the Swedish Defence telecommunications network. The configuration module will display the configurations and compatibility among the equipment and their software which are all part of the network.Also included in this report are tools, methods and results for the development of a prototype for the configuration manager. The prototype consists fundamentally of a database assisted by a user friendly website.The transmission equipment handles a lot of important transmission of information and is in the hands of a department of SAAB, OFGCA, by orders from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Within the work included in this order exists a continuous update of both software and hardware which the equipment consists of. Therefore it?s highly important that there is a monitoring of which of the software and hardware is compatible with one another, ensuring that the functions of the system work properly.The consistent updating has resulted in compatibility issues between components and because of this, a need for a configuration manager has arisen..

The BA thesis Front Yard Gardens ? spatiality, design elements, expression and social aspects is a summary of the entrance and front yard garden phenomenon ? where the entrance is the set design and the designer is the director. The thesis touches the social context of which entrances have been and still are shaped. The various appearance of the entrance and front yard gardens throughout the history, starting with the first entrance by the edge of the wood and coming up to the front yard gardens of today, is described. It touches the present day through an analysis of some entrances and front yard gardens of modern residential areas.

The aim of this literature review was to make a comparison between the feeding requirements of Swedish reindeer (Rangifer tarandus tarandus) and meat producing cattle (Bos taurus) within farming. Reindeer are an intermediate feeding type; they have the ability to adapt to short term seasonal changes in food. They avoid eating fibre as much as possible and display highly selective behaviour while foraging. Adaptation to harsh environments with a limited amount of food has made reindeer dependent upon easily digestible food and consequently their digestive systems are less capable of processing plants with high fibre content. Herding is an extensive system which requires a significant amount of land and labour and describes the reindeer industry.

Under år 2009 kom 2 250 ensamma barn till Sverige. Deras orsak till flykt är många, men det kan bland annat ha att göra med krig, förföljelse, tortyr med mera. När de kommer till Sverige får de en god man som ska träda in i vårdnadshavarens ställe. Under hösten 2009 gjordes tretton djupintervjuer med gode män för ensamkommande barn i en stor kommun och i en liten kommun. Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur rollen som god man för ensamkommande barn fungerar samt hur den kan se ut och upplevas av de gode männen själva. Studien undersökte också vilka likheter respektive skillnader som finns i uppdraget som god man beroende på kommunstorlek.

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.

Syftet med den undersökning som redovisas i detta examensarbete var att undersöka hur läro-böcker för kursen Samhällskunskap A i gymnasieskolan uppmuntrar elever till att inta ett kritiskt förhållningssätt. I syftet ingick också att undersöka huruvida några ideologiska kopplingar kunde finnas i lärobokstexterna. Med en kvalitativ textanalys av 10 läroböckers texter om EU undersöktes i vilken utsträckning texterna hade en problematiserande framställning, för att på så sätt uppmuntra eleverna till att reflektera kritiskt och formulera egna ståndpunkter. I förekommande fall undersöktes framställningens samband med de avgörande frågor kring EU-projektet som ställs inom ideologierna konservatism, liberalism, demokratisk socialism och ekologism. Resultatet av analysen visade att fyra av läroböckerna har en starkt problematiserande framställning medan majoriteten av böckerna har en framställning som är obetydligt eller svagt problematiserande.

The purpose with this thesis is to research what function the National Library Catalogue of Sweden (LIBRIS) has as an information resource for Chinese language material. How is LIBRIS used as an information resource seen from the point of view of a users specific language need. This will be exemplified through an empirical survey of three user groups with different prerequisites concerning their knowledge in Chinese. Group A were beginners and had studied Chinese for one year. Group B were advanced students who were studying their third year of Chinese.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka elevers uppfattningar om varför de inte uppnått godkända betyg i något eller några av ämnena svenska, engelska och matematik när de gick ut åk nio i grundskolan.Studien bygger på en kvalitativ metod med sex halvstrukturerade djupintervjuer. Studien har en fenomenologisk livsvärldsansats då avsikten varit att ta reda på en del om hur världen har visat sig och uppfattats av dessa sex elever. Resultatet visar bl. a. att samtliga respondenter tycker att de fått den hjälp de hade behövt alldeles för sent. Vidare anser de att de flesta lärare visat ett för dåligt engagemang och intresse samt en för liten förståelse för deras behov.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine attitudes and standpoints amongst librarians at the Swedish public library towards literary awards and awarded literature. The questions posed in the study are: What attitudes are expressed amongst these librarians towards the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and literary awards and awarded literature in general? What significance do the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and other literary awards have concerning purchase and display at these public libraries? How is awarded literature perceived and how do they talk about it concerning quality and are questions of quality significant? Qualitative interviews with seven librarians at four different public libraries have been done. Theories regarding J?rgen Habermas the bourgeois public sphere and Pierre Bourdieu?s terms habitus, field and capital have been used as to explain the library as a public sphere.

Intervjuerna gick ut på att ta reda på vad respektive revisionsbyrå gjort för förändringar av sitt utbud efter avskaffandet av revisionsplikten. I analysdelen har sedan svaren ställts mot varandra för att se vilka likheter och skillnader som finns mellan den stora(PwC) och den lilla (Revisorsknuten) revisionsbyrån.Slutsats:Studien visar att det finns likheter i de förändringar som gjorts bland annat ett större fokus på redovisningstjänster än tidigare.

As an amateur it can be difficult filming from several angles at the same time as this requires several cameras. It´s also hard to film at occasions when it´s not appropriate to manoeuvre the camera manually. Systems for solving these problems already exist, but it´s either more expensive, professionalsystems or cheaper systems with limited functionality.The purpose of this project is to develop a cost efficient solution to the problem above that offers a better functionality then existing commercial systems. The biggest difference from existing products is the wireless video feedback from the camera to the remote unit.The result of the project is a system consisting of two units, a manoeuvre unit with a cradle for the video camera and a remote unit from which the operator can control pan and tilt of the video camera.Communication between the two units is wireless.On the remote unit there is a joystick and a display mounted. In addition to this, there is also an IR receiver that is capable of reading the signal from the cameras own remote and sending it to the manoeuvre unit.The manoeuvre unit is equipped with one motor to control the tilt function and one motor to control the pan.

Maxicap AB är ett företag som utvecklar och tillverkar elektronisk utrustning för bland annat olika mätuppgifter. Målet med detta examensjobb var att undersöka och implementera en stabil trådlös dataöverföringsmetod med den utrustning som Maxicap ville använda. Detta skulle åstadkommas/testas genom att sända temperatursensorvärden trådlöst med Nordic Semiconductor?ssändtagare (eng. transceiver) styrda av Atmel?s mikrokontrollers.

Syfte: Beskriva hur arbetstidsfördelning och arbetssituation ser ut för sjuksköterskan på en hjärtavdelning. Metod: Strukturerad observationsstudie av deskriptiv design med kvantitativ ansats. 14 sjuksköterskor observerades under 18 arbetspass. Ett kategoriseringsschema användes som mätinstrument. Data bearbetades med en kvantitativ analysmetod.
