This paper is the result of an osteological study of the skeletal remains uncovered during an archaeological excavation of the medieval cemetery in Norra Nöbbelöv. The purpose of the study is to compare the material from the rural site (Norra Nöbbelöv) with materials excavated from the old medieval graveyards in the city of Lund. The aim is to try and shedsome light on the question of whether there is any difference in the occurrence and frequency of fractures and osteoarthritis in the materials compared. The first section of the paper consists of a short historical background of Norra Nöbbelöv and Lund, a chapter on ethics, general results of the analysis and the methods used. Thissection was co-authored by Ulla Zagal-Mach and Åsa Strandh.

Mitt magisterarbete ?Utveckling Årsta Havsbad? är ett projekt som innefattar undersökning, skissutredning samt en gestaltnings idé kring det publika rummet i Årsta havsbad. Bakgrunden till mitt arbete kommer från att jag är uppväxt varje sommar i Årsta Havsbad vilket ger det en speciell plats i mitt hjärta. Årsta Havsbad har sucessivt åldrats och en upprustning behövs, hur får man in pengar till området?Efter efterforskningar hos Haningekommuns statsbyggnadskontor vet jag att en ny detaljplan för området arbetas fram.

The purpose of this study is to exam how two environmental organizations reason about the loss of biodiversity. The research questions are; what is the view in these organizations regarding biodiversity? What are the underlying environmental discourses behind their reasoning, and how do they reason about the risks associated with the loss of biodiversity? As a first part of this thesis a thorough review of existing literature and online resources about the actions of environmental organizations was conducted. Two organizations were interviewed, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Naturskyddsforeningen. The questions for the study were analyzed in light of Dryzek´s (1997) reasoning about environmental discourses and using the concept of risk by Beck (1998).

Title: The nurse's dilemma in psychiatric inpatient care - a balancing act between good and evil Objective: To describe the nurse's experience of relieving patient suffering caused by coercive measures on a closed psychiatric ward . Frame of reference : The results are discussed in light of Eriksson´s theory of suffering and caring relationships Method: A qualitative analysis based on focus group discussions Results: The analysis resulted in six categories, to protect the patient , to involve the patient , not to lose control , to remain , to justify compulsion , and to be touched . The results showed that nurses had the experience of being able to relieve the suffering of patients caused by coercive measures. It was also found that the nurses had a tendency to justify coercive measures , the more experience they had of performing these . Conclusion: The results describe that nurses have the experience and knowledge of how to relieve patients' suffering caused by coercion but also their experiences of performing these .

The project description is to draw an extension or annex to the existing Nationalmuseum building from 1866.The annex is designed to complement Nationalmusems activities and contain internal and public functions. Artentering the building must not be crossed by public visitors. Art and staff must be able to seamlessly move betweenthe extension and the main building. The new building includes a public study room for scholars working withthe collection of art on paper, workshops, conservation studios, art spaces and warehouses. Additionally, theannex is designed to host a large number of office spaces.With the renovation of Nationalmuseum they intend to open up the today built in south atrium.

Studien syftar till att undersöka om och i så fall hur de olika kommunerna i VästraGötalandsregionen använder sig av insatsen särskilt kvalificerad kontaktperson. Dennainsats infördes i socialtjänstlagen 2007 och syftar till att stötta och vägleda ungdomarmed problematik såsom missbruk, kriminalitet och annat socialt nedbrytande beteende.Studien jämför också denna insats med insatsen kontaktperson. För att besvara studiensfrågeställningar används en kombination av kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod, i form aven intervjuundersökning och en enkätundersökning. Resultatet har analyserats medhjälp av teorierna organisationsteori och symbolisk interaktionism.Studiens resultat visar att insatsen används i låg utsträckning i de 21 kommuner sombesvarade enkäten. Endast ett fåtal kommuner verkar ha integrerat insatsen i sinverksamhet och att insatsen är så pass ny antas vara en orsak till att den ännu inte användsi så hög grad då organisationsförändringar ofta tar lång tid.

In recent years, the demands for effectiveness and evidence in social work have increased in all work areas, including that of healthcare. This has sparked the discussion on concepts such as practical- and theoretical knowledge and their respective roles in social work. In the light of this, the purpose of this candidate thesis is to investigate healthcare social workers understanding of practical- and theoretical knowledge in the working process as well as their respective influence and importance. This candidate thesis is based on three interviews with social workers from different departments in Norrlands Universitetssjukhus in Umeå, Sweden. To provide range to the thesis, the interviewees were chosen from a purposeful sampling.

Under min verksamhetsförlagda utbildningstid (hädanefter förkortat vfu) observerade jag många elever som alla kämpar på sitt eget sätt med sin läsning, och jag intresserade mig snabbt för hur lärare och skola kan hjälpa dessa elever med sina svårigheter och blev på så sätt introducerad för en metod som heter Rydaholmsmetoden. Rydaholmsmetoden är en metod som ska hjälpa eleverna att träna upp sin läshastighet och sin ordkunskap, och trots att metoden ej har en forskningsgrund så används den flitigt vid min VFU-skola där eleverna träffar en speciallärare två till tre gånger i veckan i 20 minuters pass där de tränar på att förbättra sin läsning genom arbete med just Rydaholmsmetoden. Syftet var att undersöka om Rydaholmsmetoden kunde vara en fungerande metod för elever med läs- och skrivsvårigheter, samt om dessa elever även kunde göra framsteg i Läsutvecklingsschemat (LUS) i och med arbete i Rydaholmsmetoden. För att genomföra denna studie valdes ett antal av sex elever ut som alla fick undervisning i Rydaholmsmetoden. Dessa elever testades med ett av metodens standardtest (H4-test) och utvärderades sedan i LUS. Denna procedur upprepades efter åtta veckor för att se om arbetet med Rydaholmsmetoden givit någon effekt på elevernas resultat i LUS. Resultaten som framkom var att fem av de sex eleverna som deltog i studien hade gjort framsteg i LUS under studiens tid, men resultatet kan ifrågasättas då eleverna samtidigt fick undervisning i såkallad parläsning, högläsning och tystläsning som alla kan ha påverkat elevernas resultat likväl som Rydaholmsmetoden..

Den inkommande turismen till Sverige ökar hela tiden och enligt Naturvårdsverket är naturturismen en av orsakerna till det ökade intresset för Sverige som destination. I dagsläget finns det inte mycket forskning angående utländska turister i den svenska naturen men författarna vill fördjupa sig i ämnet och har därför som syfte med uppsatsen att klargöra vilka som nyttjar den svenska naturen, varför de reser hit samt hur den svenska naturen marknadsförs.För att få svar på uppsatsens frågor har författarna valt att använda sig av en expertgrupp där var och en i gruppen har fått svara på ett visst antal intervjufrågor. Resultatet visar hur utländska besökare attraheras av stillheten, lugnet och den lättillgängliga orörda naturen som finns i Sverige. Olika aktiviteter tas upp som attraktionskraft och uppsatsen beskriver även de vanligaste segmenten; WHOPs, DINKs och Active Family. Expertgruppen förklarar hur turistorganisationer i Sverige arbetar med marknadsföring och i slutet av uppsatsen diskuteras ?nature-light? och tidsmässigt korta resor som nya trender inom naturturism.

There are no set guidelines on how to interpret the criteria?s in the adjustment rule within the meaning of the companies act. The criteria?s are not discussed in literature and the Swedish case law in this area is very limited. A reason for the limited use of the adjustment rule is the slow and very costly process, which does not grantee the outcome of the case.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att testa en teori av Murray Smith som gäller filmkaraktärer och se om den går att använda även när man tittar på dataspel. Den exakta frågeställningen i uppsatsen är som följer: Murray Smith har skapat en teori för hur engagerande karaktärer skapas i film. Hur pass applicerbara är hans teorier för engagerande karaktärer när det kommer till ett annat visuellt medium som dataspel? Måste teorin tillämpas annorlunda? Är andra aspekter av teorin viktigare i det nya mediet?I uppsatsens teoribakgrund tas teoriinriktningar som bland annat semiotik och psykoanalys upp och förklaras.

During the recent financial crisis there has been an intense debate regarding small enterprise?s possibilities to borrow money. Statements from interest groups and results from surveys among Swedish non-financial companies indicate that their situation has worsened. Credit worthy enterprises that under normal circumstances would not have any problems getting financing are now facing financial difficulties. In contrast, an economic report from the Bank of Sweden concludes that Sweden does not suffer from a severe credit rationing due to the financial crisis.

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate how parents? in multilingual families perceive language learning and reading for young children, and how their practice of this can be understood in relation to their language situation and cultural background.This study focuses on the interaction between parents? and young children in the light of the literacy practice. Important concepts such as early childhood literacy and family literacy have been used to study language, culture and literacy practice as phenomena that interact. The theoretical framework is a sociocultural perspective. Through qualitative interviews with seven parents?, it was found that multilingual families have a strong ambition for their children to learn all the languages spoken in the family.

The purpose of this master thesis is to use marketing theory on the library?s activities. The marketing theory used is the 4Ps; product, price, promotion and place, as it's presented by Philip Kotler. Because the library can be seen as a service oriented organization Christian Gronroos theory of marketing in the service industry also has been used. A case study of the public library in Broby was made to illustrate how the public libraries? activities can appear in the light of marketing theory.

This paper aims to examine how the construction of women with foreign background is visible in the Swedish debate on elder care and ethnicity. The subject is interesting with regard to the existing discriminating conceptions about ethnicity and how the living conditions of immigrant women are med scarce in the Swedish research field. It is also a relevant topic in light of the incipient crisis of the Swedish eldery care. The examining of how several axes of power interplay to construct the women is rendered possible through an intersectional perspective. This requires of the study to relate to the concept of category, and in this paper I have chosen an intercategorical approach.
