The mistakes and failures on the roof are noticed during inspection of the construction, many of the commentaries are recurring. A contractor should only need to get a commentary once and then learn from the mistake. It has in this study been brought to light that the solution is not to tell the contractors to "stop slattern", it is more complicated than that. Today, the biggest problems are found in leadership, communication, feedback of experience and that the entrepreneurs take too little responsibility.To minimize the amount of commentaries all contractors need to work with a clearer leadership where the leader is both respected and appreciated. The leader must in an effective way be able to convey all the information to all employees.

The background to this study is an interest for teacher?s thoughts about choices and teachingmethods and motives for these choices. A question is about the meaning of professional experience and the importance of choices in teachingmethods according to the teachers. The purpose of the study is thru a qualitative study examine teacher?s thoughts and statements about choices of teachingmethods to shed a light on different teachingmethods in early years in school.

ABSTRACTThis paper aims to shed light to what extent a financier have learnt about sustainableorganizational change, through development projects taking part in the Swedish knowledgeFoundations program, ICT in Teacher?s training. Some questions asked were: Has theSwedish Knowledge Foundation learnt by researchers? and self evaluation?s ?stirring up? ofongoing projects? What type of learning process has been going on? Has new, mutual,knowledge been constructed or has already existing knowledge been transferred?The study consists of one participating observation and three interviews. They showhow the financed projects have been ?stirred up? so that a developmental learning process hasstarted within their organization.

This bachelor thesis is about an ultrasonic sensor, implemented in a bubble chamber in Artis. The sensor consists of the piezoelectric sensor and an electronic control circuit. The control circuit consists of a programmable microprocessor, PIC18F2420 and a circuit, which sends the excitation signal to the piezoelectric sensor, and later receives the echo. This bachelor thesis consists also of a theoretical study, which examines different techniques of liquid level sensing in a chamber. The study discusses which factors are important in liquid level sensing and examine accepted methods.

The gender theory of Judith Butler is based on both philosophical and psychoanalytic notions of the self. Although greatly inspired by both early and contemporary psychoanalytic thinking, Butler has also questioned some of its core notions such as the meaning of gender complementarity and conceptions of desire. In a dialogue in Studies in Gender and Sexuality she discusses these and other theoretical and ethical issues with the influential psychoanalyst and gender theorist Jessica Benjamin. The exchange is a unique example of an attempt at dialogue and theoretical reflection between a prominent contemporary gender theorist and psychoanalyst. It reveals disagreements and theoretical difficulties I will show to be directly attributable to radical differences between Butler's and Benjamin's conceptions of the self.

I den här studien har vi valt att undersöka hur pedagoger uppmärksammar och även hanterar barns utanförskap i den fria leken. Denna studie är gjord på en liten förskola och metoderna som är använda i detta arbete är kvalitativa forskningsmetoder. Empiri har samlats in genom främst intervjuer och observationer, men även genom ett skådespel med handdockor på förskolan. Frågeställningarna vi har utgått ifrån är: uppmärksammar pedagogerna utanförskap och hur hanteras detta då? På vilket sätt går pedagogerna tillväga för att förebygga utanförskap och hur pass medvetna är barnen om utanförskap? Vår största inspiration har varit Birgitta Knutsdotter Olofssons (2003) och hennes beskrivning angående de tre lekreglerna samförstånd, ömsesidighet och turtagande som råder i leken.

This paper aims to shine a light on the challenges connected to the implementation of a process focused way of thinking in a public service organization. To this we have conducted a series of qualitative interviews, primarily from participants of a university driven project. The project aims to teach decision making employees of public service organizations how to use process modeling techniques to increase their efficiency. We have also interviewed the teachers who have taught the courses included in the project. As a final point of view we have also interviewed a researcher and IT consultants to compare novice users with experienced users of process modeling techniques.

The report aims to examine how property owners position themselves to reach their targetmarket, and which strategies they use when positioning their product. The investigation has beencarried out mainly in the form of a case study in which a number of interviews with Stockholmreal estate companies has been conducted, focusing on commercial property market segment.The interviews have resulted in identification of common and specific strategies among thecompanies. These strategies have been analyzed in the light of the theory by Philip Kotler andKevin Lane Keller, focusing on how an offer should be designed to reach a competitive position.It can be concluded that positioning is a key activity for successfully addressing the targetmarket. Successful positioning mandates three key requirements to be met; determining thecategory to which the offer belongs, identifying similarities and differences compared to thecompetitors and developing a brand mantra. The result of the case study concludes that theproperty companies work similar in many ways.

Studien undersöker hur New Public Management (NPM) påverkar socialsekreterares möjlighet att arbeta professionellt, samt hur de hanterar denna påverkan. Studiens metodologiska ansats är kvalitativ där empirin baseras på fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med socialsekreterare. Studiens teoretiska referensram utgörs av teorier kring NPM, professionalitet och handlingsstrategier. I resultatdelen redovisas intervjupersonernas bild av professionalitet. Denna beskrivning sätts därefter i relation till NPM:s inverkan på deras professionalitet.

To get rid of our dependence on fossil fuels we need to make use of renewable energy sources like wind power to a greater extent. Even though wind power is a renewable energy source it can still cause some problems for the close environment. One of the problems is shadow flickering. When the sun is low and the wind blows in a direction so that the rotor blades are positioned at right angles to the sunbeams and ?cut? the sunbeams off.

The individual educational plan (IEP) is a document used in Swedish schools. The purpose of the document is to help and support students who have difficulties in their schoolwork in various ways. In my experience, the student does not always understand the importance of establishing an IEP as a support and help at school. In this study I try to understand the students? experience of its relevance and purpose and the impact which can be achieved by an IEP.

Rikliga naturtillgångar och bördig jord gör Brasilien till ett land med mycket bra förutsättningar för jordbruk. Dess totala odlade area överskrids endast av Australien, Kina och USA. Under senare tid har landet genomgått flera betydande handelsliberaliseringar och övergått från importsubstitution till en mer exportorienterad policy. Från och med 1990-talet har Brasilien ökat sin export inom jordbrukssektorn och på senare tid har exporttillväxten varit så pass hög att den kan liknas vid en exportboom. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Brasiliens senaste exportutveckling och dess komparativa fördelar i deras främsta exportprodukter inom jordbrukssektorn.

The decomposition of organic carbon in drained peat soils is a major source of carbon di-oxide in Sweden. A big part of these drained peat soils are used in agriculture and it is a big challenge to slow down their decomposition. It has earlier been thought that less tilling and higher water table levels would decrease the activity of soil microbes and thereby the decomposition, but recent experiments has showed that this has little or no effect. In this bachelor thesis a field experiment was made on drained peat soil with ley, outside Björklinge, Uppsala municipality, Sweden. The experiment was carried out in May 2011. The objective was to develop a method to examine how the net exchange of carbon diox-ide from plant covered peat soil is affected by temperature and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR).

Att kunna träna effektivt till ett avgörande prov är en förutsättning för ett bra resultat. Denna uppsats har ägnats åt möjligheten till självstudier inför ett TOEFL -prov med digitala hjälpmedel i form av applikationer till mobiltelefonen. I detta arbete jämförs två olika typer av studiemateri-al, där den ena (analog) representerar det som används för undervisning i TOEFL-kurser. Den andra (digital) representerar alternativet för de som vill skippa kursen och träna på egen hand via självstudier i telefonen. Med Schmitts metodanalys som verktyg har dessa applikationer under-sökts för att se hur pass väl de motsvarar de krav som finns för att klara READING-sektionen i ett prov. Inledningsvis håller den digitala självstudiemetoden en relativt bra standard.

Objective ? To study the requirement of nursing care of the equine patient during eye treatment with a lavage system together with a constant rate infusion pump. Procedures ? Three veterinary nurses at ATG: s Hästsjukhus in Skara were asked nine questions at individual interviews. Inclusion criteria for participation in the interview were that the nurse should have treated equines with and without the infusion pump to the lavage system, but also traditionally with eye drops. Results ? The equine had a higher well-being since it experienced less stress during eye treatment with the infusion pump compared to treatment given by hand through the lavage system. The treatment would be more effective with constant rate infusion and save costs for the owner.
