Kvantifiering av osäkerheter i lyftkraftsmodellen
With today´s power uprates in BWR reactors the bundle Lift force has become aproblem. The Lift force is calculated using a best estimate approach and the resultfrom the calculation should pass the existing Lift force margin. Lift force margin isdefined so that the Lift force may not exceed 80 % of the fuel weight. The margin issupposed to cover all the uncertainties that exist in the Lift force calculations.However, no uncertainty analysis has been conducted to quantify the uncertainties.In this report the uncertainties in the Lift force model have been quantified. Each inputparameter to the Lift force model which has been assumed to have an uncertainty isassigned a probability distribution.

Surface Lift adapted for today?s user Today?s T-bar Lift looks almost the same as when it was launched in 1938, even though a lot has happened in the ski and mountain industries. New equipment has developed without any major adjustment to the Lift. Snowboard, sit ski and downhill biking are just some examples of the evolution that demands new seating positions. It?s also very common for families to spend their holidays in the mountains nowadays.

Biomekanisk analys av patientlyft i team
Background: The majority of the occupational accidents and work-related diseases at Swedish workplaces occur due to poor ergonomics during Lifts and transportation of objects. The most common consequence of poor ergonomic conditions is low back pain (LBP) and the risk of developing LBP increases as the mechanical loading on the intervertebral disks grows. This study has investigated the biomechanical loading in the low back during two different types of patient Lifts. The first Lift (Lift A) is developed by Modern Arbetsteknik (MA) and the second Lift (Lift B) is a common Lifting technique among care workers. Objectives: The aim of the study was to identify any advantages or disadvantages with MA?s Lift, regarding shear and compression forces in the L5/S1 disc.

The company is market leading in Europe in the heavyvehicle industry, designing and building body systems for trucks.In their line of products is the hook Lift called Livab, a flexible and uniqueproduct. The hook Lift is often demanded by customers because its special ability tobe able to operate in situations with low roof clearance. The main operation principleof the hook Lift can be described as a truck stand, laid down.There are two main versions of the hook Lift Livab, AL 26 and AL 32. These are ofdifferent load capacity, 17 and 25 metric tons of gross weight respectively.

The problem presented in this report is that of finding a method to calculate the Lift force from a single-element airfoil of arbitrary shape. A number of restrictions are used in order to simplify calculations while retaining reasonable accuracy. The problem is solved for the two-dimensional case only and no finite-wing effects are taken into account. Furthermore, inviscid and incompressible flow is assumed. The method used to solve the problem is the vortex panel method, with vortex singularities distributed over simplified airfoil geometry.

The purpose with this thesis work was to design and build a technical aid for installingbatteries in telecom base stations. Today that job is done manually, since there is noequipment on the market for that purpose. Installing batteries in base stations manually isa very tough job.To get ideas for possible solutions a preliminary study on existing Lift aids was done.From the preliminary study the conclusion that some kind of overhead crane would besuitable for the task was drawn. After that a Lift for installing batteries in base stationswas designed, built and tested. The tests show that it is possible to minimize heavy Liftingwhen installing batteries in telecom base stations, at a relatively low cost.ii.

The underlying assumption in this essay is that France's actions reflect a need to find new ways of adapting itself and surviving faced with the threats of its decreased international influence. By using three different perspectives ? realism, liberalism and constructivism ? this essay examines three possible models of analysis to explain France's behavior.An analysis of the discourse covering this essay´s topic between 1989-2007 provided the basis of the paper.

The aim is to examine the effect of the implementation of VLM on a business's warehouse management. In order to obtain a result, the study has been based on the following questions:? How was the warehouse management designed before the implementation of VLM?? How is warehouse management designed after the implementation of VLM?Method: To be able to answer these questions, interviews with ten users of VLM performed. All users usually Lift systems from the same manufacturer.

This degree project has been carried out by Carolina Rapp and Jenny Tauson, students at Innovation and Design Engineer program at the Faculty of Technology and science at Karlstad University. The project was carried during Spring of 2009 and took 15 weeks of full time work. Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is an Austria/Switzerland corporate group and its associated company Doppelmayr Scandinavia lies in Sunne, Sweden. Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is the world quality and technology leader in ropeway engineering. The degree project goal was to develop a new shaping of a surface Lift. There are two kinds of surface Lifts, platter and T-bars. The two kinds of surface Lifts have some variation in design but only minor differences.

The current solution does fulfill the requirements that are given, however it is not a solution that gives a high level of satisfactory.

Direct-EGR tillämpat på HCCI
The Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine is promising in terms of lowNOx, low particulates and high efficiency. Due to its homogeneous charge, where thecombustion starts almost simultaneously from a number of points in the combustion chamber,only lean mixtures are possible to burn because of the resulting rapid combustion, which is muchfaster than the combustion in an SI-engine or a diesel engine. When richer mixtures are used thecombustion will start earlier and also be more violent.To phase the combustion later and lower the combustion speed, external cooled EGR can beused. The EGR-system used in this thesis uses a divided exhaust channel where one channel andits corresponding valve are used only for transporting EGR back to the intake system.Consequently the EGR-valve is connected to the intake pressure. This system is called Direct-EGR (D-EGR).Engine tests verified that the CA50 indeed is phased later when cooled EGR is used.
