Introduction: Studies have shown that women are not always satisfied with the effects of contraception and that contraceptive advice is perceived as non-specific. Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate what contraceptive women have chosen to use in the different phases of their reproductive lives, and what they felt had influenced their choice. Method: A retrospective cross-sectional comparative study with a quantitative approach. A survey with fixed and multiple-choice options was sent to five hundred 45-year old women. Result: The study shows that various birth controls are different in the normal reproductive life.

The purpose of this two years master thesis is to examine the potential benefits of using bibliotherapy on elderly Finnish immigrants residing in Sweden and living in geriatric care. The basis of the study is a four week long bibliotherapeutic project implemented at a nursing home for Finnish-speaking people in Stockholm County.Participants were men and women spanning in age from 70 to 90 years old. Common for all the participants was that they had lived their entire adult life in Sweden, their only language was Finnish, and they had the diagnosis of dementia. The study examines the bibliotherapeutic model of Arleen McCarty Hynes and Mary Hynes-Berry, as well as Inger Eriksson?s approach for the use of bibliotherapy in nursing homes and hospices.The empirical analysis is based on field notes from the bibliotherapeutic sessions and from interviews with librarians and nurses involved in the project.

In order to analyse the texts and films on www.ams.se I have used tools from the modern rhetoric analysis. In the last part of my analysis I compared the results of the rhetoric analysis and the requests from the interviews to see if and how they match.Main Results: The respondents requested inspiration for their future work lives, and information that could de-dramatize the image of working. The texts on www.ams.seconsist mostly of facts, while the films made a slightly more emotional contribution to the image of the occupation. The films showing relaxed and satisfied people can be seen as a way to de-dramatize the image of working-life.

I följande uppsats undersöker vi chefers upplevelser kring ämnet Work-life balance, som handlar om balansen mellan arbetsliv och privatliv. Ämnet är aktuellt i dagens samhälle då allt fler väljer att satsa på både karriär och familjeliv. Det är vidare ett relevant ämne eftersom arbetsmarknaden har förändrats genom ett ökat tempo och nya flexibilitetsformer vilket kan medföra svårigheter för individen att skapa gränser mellan arbete och privatliv. Studiens syfte är att skapa förståelse för kommunala chefers upplevelse kring balansen mellan arbetsliv och privatliv samt undersöka hur de i praktiken avgränsar arbetet från privatlivet. Utifrån studiens syfte och frågeställningar har vi utfört en kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervjuundersökning med åtta chefer i en kommunal organisation i Västra Götalands län.

This study is based on narratives from two victims of violence. A raped old woman has turned to be the core of this narrative of narrative. She is both a narrator and the head person in her narrative. Her narrative turned out to be a dialogue between two genres namely her trauma story and her life story. By experience violence has been associated with masculinity and powr, which is discussed in some detail.

The purpose of this study is to establish how a few youngsters have experienced their time in contact families and which, if any, significance their respective ?contact families? has for them today. The study aims to determine the life situation in the youth?s families at the time support through ?contact families? was initiated and the youths? own view of the reasons for this support. We also want to shed light on the meaning that the contact families had on the youth; considering both positive as well as negative meaning.

 The aim of this study was to examine how young people, who have been treated for their misuse and/or to learn to handle a parent's misuse, portrayed the network's implication in their wishes about improving their lives, to make new choices. The network included members of nuclear family, relatives, important persons at school/work and friends. The ?professional network? (therapists and social workers) also became a part in the young people's life during a period. The main issues of this study concerned differences in their experiences of the young persons´ network relationships in before, during and after completed treatment.

Physical activity and resistance training may help thecommon problem among the elderly, when it comes to cope with issues of pain and strenuouseveryday life that occurs under this ailment. Objective: To identify a senior citizen´sperception about physical activity and attitudes about resistance training.

The purpose of this essay was to examine pupils who leave the Swedish nine-year compulsory school system without reaching the requirements for the Swedish senior high school, and then to compare with those who reach the requirements. I used the following questions to help me reach this purpose:- Where in life are those pupils who reached the requirements for the Swedish senior high school?- Where in life are those pupils who did not reach the requirements for the Swedish senior high school?- What differences are noticeable between these two groups?The method that I used to examine these questions was to send out a questionnaire to the pupils. I also tried to make an explanation to the results with the help of Erwin Goffmanns theories.The result of this essay shows that there is not a big difference between the two groups. This paper examines how the Swedish nationalistic political party Sverigedemokraterna communicates regarding the crisis they experienced when the Swedish newspaper Expressen published a few video clips of three, in that time, highly important party members that got in an argument after a late night of drinking. Two of the party members were at the time of the publication the members of the Swedish parliament and all of them had important senior positions in the party. In the argument one of the party members used abusive, offensive, sexist and racist language while all acted threatening and even armed themselves with iron bars from a nearby construction site.The aim of this paper is to examine how the party Sverigedemokraterna conducts their crisis communication, if they apologies and the fashion of the apology. A press conference with the party leader and the most active user of abusive language and also an interview with the second member of parliament who is involved in the argument are studied. The rhetorical arena is used to describe and pinpoint the most important stakeholders in the crisis.

Syfte: Studiens syfte var att ur ett etiskt perspektiv belysa hur psykiatrisjuksköterskan skapar en relation med patienten i en hotfull situation. Metod: En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats. Öppna intervjuer med fyra psykiatrisjuksköterskor låg till grund för innehållsanalys enligt Graneheim och Lundman (2004). Resultat: Analysen resulterade i fyra teman vilka är Sjuksköterskan som professionell vårdare, Sjuksköterskan som patientens advokat, Det hotfulla mötet och Det motsättningsfulla mötet. Slutsats: Psykiatrisjuksköterskan skapar en relation med patienten i en hotfull situation, förklarad med hjälp av Lévinas etik, genom att bli djupt påverkad av medlidande och sorg över patientens öde, genom att med sitt bestående ansvar ta initiativ att närma sig patienten i lyssnande och tillit, genom att i detta lyssnande få stöd av arbetsgruppen, för att utvidga ansvarstagandet i relation till patienten, den Andre och genom att, när tvång används, vara övertygad om att det är för patientens bästa.
