Background: Diabetes mellitus Type 1 is one of the most common chronicle diseases in childhood. This signifies big changes in the daily life for the child and its family. Aim: The aim of the study was to illustrate the family?s situation when the child falls ill in Type 1 diabetes. Method: The search for literature has been done both manually and in databases.

Aniara is a versified epos written by Harry Martinson in 1956. The story is about a large group of people who are being evacuated from earth to Mars because the earth is radiated. Through performativity and narrative theories I analyze narrations and characterization in the text and in the play.

Den 21 mars 2002 beslutade regeringen om nya riktlinjer för den externa ekonomiska rapporteringen i statligt helägda företag. Dessa skulle börja tillämpas från den 1 januari 2003 och anledningen till beslutet var dels att ange en miniminivå för den externa rapporteringen i aktiebolag med statligt ägande, dels att få de statliga företagen att lämna lika genomlysande rapporter som de börsnoterade aktiebolagen. I följande uppsats har vi undersökt i vilken utsträckning statens riktlinjer tillämpas av de statligt helägda företagen. Vi har granskat 28 av statens 42 helägda företag, genom att kontrollera 33 punkter som ska finnas med i en årsredovisning. The purpose of the study was to find out whether the interaction between mentally disabled individuals and pet positively affects the individual and gives a feeling of well-being to the extent that this might be implicated in the psychologically disabled people?s everyday life in some form of rehabilitation measure. The study is qualitative and builds on an ethnographic design. Data collection was performed through six observations, six interviews and reflections. Interviews were also conducted with relatives and assistants for greater opportunity for follow-up questions, and descriptions of the situation.

Min studie omfattar hur detta rum på bästa sätt kan bidra till flexibilitet och användbarhet genom rumsliga element. En fallstudie utfördes i Filippinerna under perioden mars-maj 2012. En kvalitativ studie innefattande intervjuer, observationer, diskussioner, analyser och litteraturstudie, med fokus på visioner, hinder och förutsättningar. Analys av studien och designprocessen resulterade i ett gestaltningsförslag som skapar förutsättningar för inkludering och funktionalitet. Resultatet blev en stapelbar låda som går att använda som sittplats, en plats till förvaring, samt går att sätta ihop till önskade moduler.

Studier har visat att frivilligt barnlösa individer stereotypt har betraktats vara olyckliga och otillfredsställda, något som inte har fått vetenskapligt stöd. Syftet med den här tvärsnittsstudien var att undersöka om det föreligger några skillnader i livskvalitet och livstillfredsställelse mellan frivilligt barnlösa personer och föräldrar i den svenska populationen. Forskningsfrågan undersöktes med en enkät som bestod av självskattningsskalorna QOLI (Quality Of Life Inventory) och SWLS (Satisfaction With Life Scale). 130 deltagare genomförde studien varav 54 är frivilligt barnlösa individer och 76 är föräldrar. Studien visade att det inte finns några signifikanta skillnader mellan grupperna med avseende på livskvalitet och livstillfredsställelse.

Methadone is frequently used as an analgesic drug for dogs although there are very few studies describing the pharmacokinetics of methadone in this species. In man methadone has a long half-life and there are considerable differences in pharmacokinetics between individuals. The dose interval is lengthened when the drug is used fore longer periods of time due to prolonged half-life. Therefore the drug dose must be adjusted individually. The purpose of this study was to study the fundamental pharmacokinetics of methadone in dogs, and to find an optimal drug dosage.

With starting point in the increasing ill-health in Swedish working life today, in form of for example absence due to sickness and early retirement pension, and the knowledge that the working environment effects peoples health in a big extent, I found it very interesting to inquire into how people within the working life experience health promotion and how this can be developed. A qualitative method was used to receive a deeper understanding for the employees? experiences and data was collected through semi structured interviews with employees on a bank called Ikanobanken, in Älmhult. The result shows, among other things, that respondents find responsibility and the opportunity to influence the learning processes and development important. It also became clear that the respondents find participation, motivation, communication and safety essential factors when related to changes in health behaviours.

The research objective of this thesis was to conduct a holistic evaluation of an operational information system. By holistic evaluation we mean that an equal focus was placed on both the system system perspective and its users user perspective, in the actual environment where the system and its users function contextuality. In addition, the methodological objective of the study was to test a new research approach in a real life setting. The participants of the study were twenty newspaper journalists employed at Göteborgs-Posten GP. The information system NewsLink is a manually indexed full-text database containing all articles published in GP since 1994.
