Library and information science students often ask themselves if their education will be sufficient and adapted to the work tasks they will meet with as future librarians. It is the aim of this Master thesis to investigate LIS-graduates' experiences of the transfer from academic studies into professional life. The thesis thus treats four questions: I: What problems, if any, does the LIS-graduate experience when first employed? 2: Does the recently employed librarian feel that the academically obtained knowledge is applicable in professional life? And, if so, how does it apply? 3: Does the new employee find that there are areas in which his/her academic education has been insufficient? 4: What is the general attitude towards LIS-graduates' education among colleagues and is the library staff prepared to provide the necessary instructions? The investigation is performed through interviews with eight LIS-graduates, all of whom have recently started working as public librarians. The analysis is based on the concepts of competence, qualifications, work skills, knowledge and in the processes of formal and practical learning.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur unga vuxna beskriver sin tro med särskilt fokus på beskrivningar av Gud och Jesus. De unga vuxna som jag vill undersöka är individer som är medlemmar i de kristna studentorganisationerna Credo och KRISS. I studien vill jag också undersöka huruvida det finns någon skillnad i hur och vad de unga vuxna från Credo och KRISS beskriver som viktigt för deras tro.  Men även hur de unga vuxna beskriver auktoriteten i förhållandet mellan människa ? Gud.

Under vår utbildning som studie- och yrkesvägledare får vi lära oss om flera karriärteorier men dessa är främst utformade utifrån ett västerländskt perspektiv. Vi har ett stort intresse av att lära oss om vad som påverkar en människas val av karriär i olika kulturer. Vår examensarbete tar avstamp i en välgörenhetsorganisation för utsatta barn och kvinnor i delstaten Goa i Indien och vi har genom organisationen mött sju unga kvinnor som fått stöd av dem. Vårt syfte är att ta reda på vad som är centralt i de unga kvinnornas karriärval och hur de berättar om sina livs- och karriärberättelser. Vi har använt en narrativ metod för att få svar på våra frågeställningar och har använt Savickas vägledningsteori om Career Construction för att förstå faktorerna som ligger bakom deras val. Vi kan i vår studie se att behovet av tillhörighet och vikten av utbildning syns tydligt i våra intervjupersoners livsberättelser.

Perifer vaskulär insufficiens innebär arteriell och/eller venös cirkulationssvikt i nedre extremiteter, vilket kan förorsaka bensår. Vaskulär insufficiens i benen är ett ökande hälsoproblem som ofta är ett mycket smärtsamt tillstånd och kan ha stora konsekvenser för den drabbade i dennes dagliga liv. Litteraturöversikt valdes som metod för att besvara syftet; att beskriva forskning om patienters upplevelser av hur perifer vaskulär insufficiens i de nedre extremiteterna påverkar det dagliga livet. Detta utifrån Carnevalis omvårdnadsteori om dagligt liv funktionellt hälsotillstånd. Stora inskränkningar i dagligt liv på grund av sjukdomen identifierades i litteraturen.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva patienters psykiska hälsa efter en hjärtinfarkt.Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie. Sökorden myocardial infarction, mental health, experience, psychological health och quality of life kombinerades för att hitta artiklar. Arton artiklar inkluderades i studien och hittades i databaserna PubMed och Cinahl och genom andra artiklars referenslista. Undersökningarna i artiklarna var genomförda med intervjuer, enkäter och observationer. Resultatet visade att män upplevde en bättre hälsorelaterad livskvalitet än kvinnor samt att kvinnors psykiska hälsa påverkades mer efter en hjärtinfarkt.

ABSTRACTIn this study, five people were interviewed who are involved in a drug-assisted program for opiate addiction, also called substitution program. The meaning of substitution is that these clients' drug addiction is replaced with substitute preparations, either methadone or Subutex in an orderly manner. The clients of the researcher decided to study the substitution program have all been a heavy opiate addiction for years. Their participation in the replacement program is more than two years, and those who have been around the longest have been in the program for six years, so long as the substitution program has existed in Visby.This is a qualitative study in which interviews are conducted face to face with each individual client, and the interview was unstructured in the sense that no specific issues made in advance. The interviews have been themed, and the researcher has gone through various areas of life around the respondent.

The aim of this study was to examine young men born between 1990-1995 with anorectal malformations (ARM) whom have undergone the new PSARP-operation starting in 1990, and how they experience their psychosocial and sexual health. The study also examines how they cope with their life situation and what their experience is of the health care and how they were responded to through out the years. This study is a qualitative research and consists seven semi- structured interviews with young men between sixteen and twenty years old. The analyses of this material resulted in three themes around which the study centers: psychosocial health, sexual health and the medical establishment and the informants thoughts about the proposition of counseling for themselves and other individuals born with ARM. The study shows that these young men have a good psychosocial health and a likely reason for that is good parental relationships and close friendships.

Sleep is a vital part of life. Even so a lot of the mechanics regarding sleep is unknown. The dairy cattle of today live a stressful life, as their high milk yields forces them to eat large amounts of feed and spend a great portion of the day ruminating. Do they have time to get enough sleep? Which factors affecting the need of sleep in dairy cattle are largely un-known.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how people can return from a marginalized position and become a part of society. Also how a model for returning from a marginalized position should be formed. The intention is to make a contribution to those in society that are helping people to return from marginalized positions. The survey is based on 5 thematic qualitative interviews on individuals that have returned from homelessness, criminality, drug abuse and prostitution. The main results of the investigation are that those who took part in it started their role exit with a turning point.

This paper investigates how students in the humanities in four universities in Sweden reflect on their education and the current view on the humanities as an education and a science. I want to investigate what impact the past few years public debate about the humanities have had on the students. What kind of beliefs and identities do the students of the humanities form and how do they discuss the universities, the choices they made in life and how do they feel about the future.This study is based on interviews with seventeen students in Sweden from four different universities. The research is also based upon a report that The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) published in 2011 and the debate following that report. I have also made participant observations on the four universities to make a broader description for the reader.

Background·ADHD  is a syndrome characterized by attention deficits, difficulty of concentration, restlessness and lack of control. The number of persons diagnosed with ADBD have increased over the past few years.
