This study concerns how Muslims are portrayed in a choice of twelve news articles from Swedish dailies and tabloid newspapers on the aftermath of the film Innocence of Muslims published on YouTube. All articles are distributed in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet in the period of September 11th, 2012 until September 30th, 2012.For this study, a qualitative text analysis has been embraced and focus has been on van Dijk?s Critical discourse analysis to the texts, with additional features from semiotics applied on the images.The theories consist of Critical discourse analysis, hegemony, ideology and power, postcolonialism and stereotyping.In the qualitative content analysis, concrete examples from the articles are retrieved and commented. These have been divided into various themes, which are trends that the authors have been able to distinguish in the analysis.The result shows that Muslims in the analyzed newspapers are portrayed as the others, unimportant and extremely religious, in a negative manner rather than a positive. Moreover the press has tendencies to generalize Muslims as a group.

The question formulation in the essay brought up whether Clas Ohlson works today with their graphical productionflow and if that way of working leads to a desirable result in press. After a dialogue with Clas Ohlson it emerged thatthey had certain problems with the material that came out of the printing presses. Certain colours were not reproducedaccording to the stated values that had been developed. In March -08 an analysis of the graphical production flowspresent situation were done at Clas Ohlsons in order to find out how they worked with their production of print materials.In the analysis, their way to work with color spaces, displays, ICC-profiles, PDF-exports, pictures and printerswere examined. Occasional interviews were also implemented with responsible personnel about how they worked withdifferent aspects.Deficiencies were found on almost all examined parts in their graphical production flow.

?Claiming the right to space? is an argument frequently used by street artists for justifying illegal art in the public space. The public city space as a room of democracy and right to free speech is by some people considered threatened by commercial interests, and street art has become a way to demonstrate disapproval towards this. Street art is illegal and often anonymously performed in our cities. It developed in the late 1970s from the urban graffiti scene in America, and has therefore a lot in common with the graffiti movement.

The public relations business has grown from almost nothing to a large international industry the last decades. Throughout the history the industry has struggled with a lot of critique and public relations has become a negative symbol for manipulation of information. Because of this negative view of the industry and the medial change taking place, the purpose of this study is to investigate how two different generations think about public relations. More accurate, the study will through a qualitative interview study explore how young people from a highschool in Luleå and elder people from Luleå township thinks about pubic relations, and most imortant why they have this particular view. By creating four focus groups, two with men and two with women, this also enables a comparative study between the gender. The focus groups were later analyzed and compared to two selected groups of theories on public relations, the theories were positive and critical theories compound in two categories.

This thesis examines the organization Empower and their members, who consist of sex working women in Thailand. The purpose is to explore the more liberal point of view of prostitution and how the female members perceive Empower. Furthermore the study investigates if the organization can improve the sex workers empowerment. The study also delineates how these women reflect on their professional role as a sex working woman and whether the women relate to feminine discourses. The study is implemented in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the fall of the year 2010 and is based on qualitative methods like interview, focus group, observations and text analysis.

I denna studie analyseras funktionen av ordet hen i syfte att undersöka hur ordet används i dag. Hen fungerar som könsneutralt pronomen i svenskan men fyller även andra syntaktiska och könsöverskridande funktioner. Materialet har analyserats med en kvantitativ ansats och består av texter från dagspress där de olika förekomsterna av hen har kategoriserats efter funktion och texttyp. Uppsatsens avsnitt om teori behandlar språkplanering, feministisk språkplanering och hens uppkomst. Resultatet visar att hen främst fyller syntaktiska funktioner i dagspress, där 143 av 167 förekomster av ordet användes i funktioner som i den här studien kategoriserats som syntaktiska.

Syftet är undersöka Svenska kyrkans organisationsidentitet för att få ökad kunskap om vilken påverkan den har på organisationens interna såväl som externa kommunikation. Vidare undersöker vi Svenska kyrkans image för att se hur imagen i sin tur påverkar organisationsidentiteten.Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med elva medarbetare i den undersökta organisationen och en innehållsanalys av medietexter från en dags- respektive kvällstidning har utförts.Teorier kring det senmoderna samhället, organisationsidentitet, corporate identity, image samt förtroendekriser har studerats. Teorierna utgör grunden för vår analys och våra slutsatser.Som ett resultat av Svenska kyrkans organisationsstruktur och den tolkningsfrihet som råder består organisationen av en mängd identiteter som är svåra att förena. Avsaknaden av en stark organisationsidentitet medför att mediebilden av Svenska kyrkan har en stark inverkan på organisationens image. Det pågående arbetet för en gemensam logotyp hoppas organisationen ska öka samhörigheten internt såväl som externt..

Transport is an important aspect to take account in efforts to achieve sustainable tourism development. If we do not change our behavior regarding travel, the consequences will be significant for the environment. This study examines the various transport operators on the two Swedish ski resorts if their websites and marketing are different from each other in the mode selection. The destinations are Åre and Hemavan Tärnaby. They studied modes are two Swedish airlines, two train companies, three bus companies and three taxi companies.These corporate websites are studied with a content analysis in which the results of the keywords that have been developed are scored according to different categories.

Sex personer har intervjuats för att ta reda på hur de ser på sin arbetssituation, samt vad skillnaden är mellan deras upplevelser. Vi intervjuade växeltelefonister och fritidsledare. Samtliga respondenter saknade fast anställning alltså, tillsvidareanställning. Växeltelefonister och fritidsledare är två exempel på yrken som har många timanställda och vikarier. Som timanställd och vikarie lever man under en viss press.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelser av att leva med andnöd hos personer med luftvägssjukdomar. Studien baseras på tio internationellt publicerade kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: att vara begränsad: att döden blir ett faktum: att andnöd ger upphov till känsloutbrott: att vilja ha någon nära samt att kunna hantera och ta ansvar för sin andnöd. Det framkom att personer med luftvägssjukdomar uttryckte svårigheter att hantera sin andnöd genom att inte kunna göra vardagliga sysslor så som ta på sig kläder, diska och fysiska aktiviteter.

In this thesis, we have analyzed the Swedish debate about whether to impose a national canon, and make it compulsory in school curricula. Cecilia Wikström, a Liberal MP in Sweden, made the suggestion in July 2006, and the focus of our analysis is the subsequent debate during July and August 2006. Our materials are polemical articles from three Swedish newspapers, which we have examined to find the main ideas and arguments behind the various standpoints. Three issues have been our main focus; first, we have analyzed which concepts of culture the various debaters have used, where we have seen a difference between an anthropological and an aesthetical concept, but, surprisingly, found that there isn?t a very strong correlation between an aesthetical concept of culture and being pro-canon, or between an anthropological concept of culture and being anti-canon.
