The survey aims to investigate and analyze how the image of Sweden and "Swedish character? is produced in the correspondence between Swedish immigrants and family at home, compared to how the image of America and the U.S. is produced. The starting point is the concept of identity, which is shaped by the social group a person belongs, which can lead to stereotypes are formed. How does the Emigrant describe his new life in letters home to Sweden? What comparisons are made? What memories are passed from the time at home? How does the picture changes over time? How does the stereotypes change over time? The material used are remnants and secondary sources in the form of correspondence between emigrants and their relatives back home.

The object of this study has been to establish how language is used to present and establish a person?s identity. The studied language usage is that of renowned author Selma Lagerlöf and the language studied is that of her personal correspondence. This language picture is placed alongside the public depiction of her and a comparison of sorts is made. The chosen method has been to study Lagerlöf?sprivate correspondence and to compare her language markers in those to the literature history?s picture of her.

The purpose of this thesis is to find out if people have changed the way in which they write since the introduction of the internet. Men and women have been writing books, articles, letters, diaries and different types of literature for centuries. To give the reader some background about the weblog as a literary media, this thesis has a whole chapter on half-public literature that includes the history of letters and diaries. AbstractThis thesis discusses and analyses a 19th century female author's vanishing from history. The study investigates social relationships as figured and described in the epistolary form, based on letters between the author herself and different members of her family. It also tries to identify the author's position and situation in her time and society according to important themes and motifs in her novels. The main purpose is not to reconstruct history, but rather to show the many complex histories that can also be described, apart from the simplified and generalized one. These are interconnected in the graph through sequence  flows. BPMN models are merely graphical representations of business process and there is a need to simulate these diagrams for different purposes. The simulation that now is available for BPMN is that the model is evaluated by checking if it is correct.

The essay deals with the idea of melancholia as an exclusively male feeling associated with geniality and eminence, as it is shown in the letters of three romantic men. The children's ways of showing interest in writing and reading in pre-school have always fascinated me. På IdaInfront använder man sig idag utav XML-filer för att sätta upp konfigurationerna på hur man ska bygga upp ett projekt i deras program iipax. Dessa blir ofta väldigt stora och oöverskådliga samt att det inte finns någon smidig grafisk representation på hur de olika typerna hör ihop för att få en enkel överblick, det är här mitt examensarbete kommer in.Jag har skapat en prototyp på hur man med ett domän specifikt språk (DSL) kan ersätta XML syntaxen och på så sätt få det mera läsbart och samtidigt göra en grafisk representation på hur de olika noderna är kopplade till varandra.Jag använde mig av ett verktyg som heter XText för att ta fram mitt DSL då det gav en bra grund samt att man får olika hjälpverktyg så som auto-complete förslag, färgkodning, validering mm.För att få fram en grafisk editor använde jag mig av ett verktyg som heter Eugenia som är en del av Epsilon som utveklar verktyg för olika typer av hantering av EMF modeller i Eclipse. Det gav en smidig koppling mellan den DSL jag utformade i XText med en grafisk editor som Eugenia automatiskt genererade på omkring 600 filer utifrån två filer med inställningar som jag modifierade.Jag fick fram ett bra resultat för en prototyp i mindre skala. Dock använder sig IdaInfront av så många noder per projekt så det blir ganska snabbt svårt att se helheten i den grafiska editorn.

Designprocessen för en ?next-gen?-spelkaraktär är i dag förhållandevis invecklad och innehåller många olika moment innan den når sitt slutgiltiga stadium med en färdig karaktär som resultat. Den här artikeln dokumenterar designprocessen för en spelkaraktär från början till slut och kommer att se mycket till den kreativa men även den tekniska aspekten av detta arbete. Arbetet resulterar i en karaktär som modelleras, skulpteras, animeras och slutligen importeras till Unreal Editor 3.0..

Organisationen International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) har ett pågående arbetemed att revidera Föreställningsramen. Studiens fokus ligger på att studera och analyseraIASBs förslag på nya definitioner av tillgång och skuld. Förslagen som IASB ger ut, ges i ettså kallat Discussion Paper. I Discussion Paper diskuteras förslag på förändringar samtanledningar till förändringarna.Studiens syfte är att förklara och skapa förståelse för vad IASBs förslag på nya definitioner avtillgång och skuld kan innebära för användare respektive upprättare av de finansiellarapporterna.Studiens bidrag är att skapa förståelse inom studiens ämne för att underlätta för regulatorer ideras process att utforma nya standarder. Förståelse skapas genom att kartlägga vad enförändring av definitionerna av tillgång och skuld kan ha för betydelse för IASBs olikaintressenter.Med hjälp av tidigare teorier inom studiens ämne har intervjufrågor till studiens empiriskaundersökning kunnat utformas.
