The number of text messages sent from mobile phones, has increased dramatically over the last few years. Along with that, we are witnessing a lot of new mobile portal services currently being developed. Many of these services rely on an ability to input text efficiently. The traditional phone keypad is ambiguous because each key encodes more than one letter. At present, the most common way to deal with this problem is using a stored dictionary to guess the intended input.

SyfteStudiens syfte var att undersöka ifall det fanns en skillnad av kontrastseendet mellan icke-dementa människor över 65 år jämförelsevis med människor som var diagnostiserade med demens. Även denna grupp hade nått en ålder över 65 år.MetodStudien genomfördes på olika demensboenden eller hemma hos deltagarna. Först fick alla deltagare genomgå en kontroll av närvisus för att se om de kunde läsa 8 punkter eller bättre på en närvisustavla. Om det visade sig att de klarade detta fick de delta i studien. Därefter fick de, binokulärt, läsa så långt de kunde på Mars letter kontrast sensitivity test.

Hur en texts typografiska utformning påverkar hur enkel den blir att läsa är en fråga som har sysselsatt forskare under lång tid. Förhoppningen har varit att få en bättre förståelse för hur läsning går till och hur man bäst bör sätta text för att underlätta för läsaren. Ett problem har dock varit att skapa medvetenhet om forskningens resultat bland dem som arbetar med att sätta text.Tanken med detta examensarbete var att skapa en överblick av forskningen, med inriktning på hur mikrotypografin, det vill säga den typografi som berör detaljer i textens utformning, påverkar läsbarheten i brödtext. Efter litteratursökningar valdes tio vetenskapligt publicerade empiriska studier på detta område ut. Artiklarna beskrevs och diskuterades med hänsyn till deras metodik och deras resultat.

Background: The demand for sending letters, in the traditional aspect, has decreased because of electronic sources which have replaced a big part of letter communication. Royal decisions were made with the Council of the Realm where the King only had the advantage of having two votes and a casting vote. When Norway spruce is planted with large initial spacing and grows on highly productive sites in southern Sweden, a high proportion of the stems gets broad annual rings. The thinning programme carried out at the estate of Trolleholm aims to extract stems with too broad ring width. The 3-4 first thinnings are carried out as thinning from above, where only the thickest trees are removed. The internal distance may not fall below 5-7 meters depending on the number of thinning (short distance in young stands). The aim of this study was to examine the thinning model that is carried out at the estate of Trolleholm. A volume table is calculated to describe the model, and data is collected on temporary plots.

We have investigated the differences in knowledge and use of the products between different livestock associations, size of herd and farmers' breeding interests.
