AbstractOur purpose was to understand how social workers experience the possible complexities that working with economical aid can entail. As an example we chose to focus on long-term economical aid work. We aimed to address the question of which factors could affect their work. In a prior study, done by Dellgran & Höjer (2003) the conclusion was drawn  that  the combination of economical aid, healthcare and schools makeup a third of  practical social work in the terms of the proportion of the amount of social workers, but only 8 percent of the research is done in those areas. Other studies (Stranz, 2007) demonstrate that the research that is done on working with economical aid is deficient.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how administrative officers at the Swedish social insurance agency experience and deal with the goal conflicts they may experience. Furthermore, the purpose is to gain a greater understanding on how they perceive their role in the implementation process, and their position as the link between the citizens and the state. Two potential conflicts are examined; between quantitative goals and performance measures and those more qualitative and hard to measure; between economic values such as cost efficiency and productivity and democratic values such as the rule of law. The other conflict examined is that between implementing and following the laws set forth, take into account the individual needs and interests of the citizen. The theoretical framework consists of Lundquist?s theory on public officers as the guardians of democracy, which means that they should not only implement laws and rules according to political intentions, but also make sure that the democratic values and principles are followed in the relationship between state and citizen.

The purpose of this essay was to examine how professional social workers work with follow up foster home placements. The study was based on qualitative interviews with ten professional social workers from different municipalities in Skåne in an attempt to answer the following questions:* What routines exist for the follow-up work with foster care?* What factors have an impact on how the follow-up is formed in the particular case?* How can the follow-up affect outcomes of the placement?* In what way could the work with follow-up foster home placements develop?The theories we chose to analyze our material from was the ecology of human development formed by Urie Bronfenbrenner and the theory of civil courage formed by Lennart Lundquist. The interviews were semi-structural which gave the respondents a chance to talk in a free way about the questions we presented.The result of the study showed that there is a difference in the way social workers form the follow-up work of foster care. The greatest difference is in whom the social workers include in their follow-up.

The discussion on whether the aesthetics or the pedagogy of children´s literature is the most important trait of the genre has been going on for quite some time. As children´s literature rose from a will to educate it is argued that pedagogy is forever imbued in the literature that addresses the child as its main reader. Literary scholars voices concern that the discussions about aesthetic expressions are being shunned in favor of that of educational values but does one exclude the other?In this essay I focus on two of Swedens most prominent authors of children´s literature, Lennart Hellsing and Ulf Stark. They are both part of the aesthetics/pedagogy debate, in their fictional works for children as well as with articles and essays on the subject.

En diskursanalys på två av de mest frekvent använda historieböckerna på den svenska gymnasieskolan "Epos" och "Alla tiders historia A". Dessa läses med hjälp av en diskursanlys framtagen av Lennart Hellspong "Metoder för brukstextanalys". För att se om där finns spår av eurocentrism och om de motsvarar Lpf11s kursplan för ämnet historia. Syftet var att via kvalitativa intervjuer med enhetschefer undersöka hur missbruks- och beroendevården kan utvecklas genom statlig styrning. Detta gjordes med utgångspunkt i missbruksutredningen, vilken har kommit med förslag för fortsatt styrning av missbruksvården. Intervjuerna var semi-strukturerade. Resultatet av studien tolkades utifrån Lundquist (1998) styrningsbegrepp för offentliga verksamheter. Förväntan på missbruksutredningen har varit stor och resultatet i studien visar på en stor otydlighet när det gäller hur missbruks- och beroendevården på bästa sätt ska styras.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there has been a change in the use of democratic values in textbooks in social science for classes 4-6. The focus lies on democratic values from two different theoretical perspectives, Dahl?s theory of democracy and Habermas deliberative democracy. The method used is a text analysis based on a model made by Lennart Hellspong. The material we?ve analysed consists of four textbooks in social science from different decades, with a range from 1981 until today.

Our study examining how well the guidelines, from Skolverket (School Department), aboutgrades in the course "Samhällskunskap A" are implemented in the Swedish Upper SecondarySchool. The study focus on both teachers and students. To discover which knowledge the bothgroups have, we have used two different methods. The students have answered a survey,which was based on the phrases from the course plan "Samhällskunskap A" about grades. Thesurvey wanted to see how well the students could match the correct phrases with the gradesteps (the Swedish school uses three grade steps).

Implementeringsproblematik är något man inte sällan stöter på när politiska reformer skall genomföras. Problematiken ligger i att de beslut som fattas inte genomförs på det sätt beslutsfattarna avsett. Flera forskare, både internationella och nationella, har försökt hitta svar på vart i processen problematiken ligger. Således har de också kommit fram till olika svar och lösningar. Syftet med denna uppsats är att ur ett implementeringsteoretiskt perspektiv studera förutsättningarna för implementeringen av riktlinjerna utbildningsval ? arbete och samhällsliv i förordningen ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011?.

Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur lässituationen framställs i en handbok i brukstextanalys. Mitt material är "Vägar genom texten" (1997) av Lennart Hellspong och Per Ledin. Metoden utgörs av de textanalytiska verktygen: handlingspositioner, presuppositioner, metaforer och inferenser. I analysen används diskurs-, makt- och subjektbegrepp hämtade från Michel Foucault. Min analys visar att materialet generellt sett framställer lässituationen som en diskursiv process, men även som en traditionellt hierarkisk maktrelation där läsaren begränsas.
