Matematik genom lek : en undersökning om barns matematikinlärning på två förskolor

The purpose of this study is to investigate the children?s mathematics Learning through play. The questions to be answered are: how can teachers facilitate children?s mathematics Learning through play? How can play affect children?s math Learning? Are the children aware of the role of play in their mathematics Learning?My method is based on interviews and observations. My informants are three teachers who work in two different preschools.

This research paper has the aim of examining Swedish and Australian teachers? knowledge base and use of Learning strategies in their language classes. After conducting qualitative interviews, the interviewees? answers are tabled to corresponding descriptions of how strategies are communicated in current curricula of the two countries. The answers confirm that teachers? understanding of Learning strategies partly agree with previous research on strategies.

Uppdrag : Matematiklektion Learning study som verktyg att optimera en matematiklektion

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur Learning study fungerar för att identifiera och lära elever kritiska aspekter inom matematiken. Learning study bygger på varitationsteori, vilken innebär att undervisning ska bygga på elevens förmåga att se skillnaden mellan en redan känd bakgrund och en förändring. När Learning study genomförs arbetar lärargrupp tillsammans för att skapa en så optimal undervisning som möjligt för ett specifikt lärandeobjekt. För att eleverna ska nå lärandeobjektet, vilket är det moment lärargruppen vill lära ut, måste elverna också förstå sina kristiska aspekter för lärandeobjektet. I detta arbete kommer ingående förklarning av begreppet Learning study göras samt exempel på tidigare studier av Learning studies presenteras: Resultat av detta arbete bygger på min undersökning med metoden Learning study som verktyg, tillsammans med analyser av elva tidigare studier.

Riskuppfattningar kring spårspring : Fokus på lokförare och personal på Trafikverket

Learning Management Systems (LMSs) hold great potential to support Learning activities, for example by providing teachers and students with new and extended spaces for interaction and collaboration. However, this potential appears to be difficult to realize, and despite their perceived Learning benefits, the reality is that LMSs are being used primarily for administrative purposes. Meanwhile, external pedagogical tools are successfully put into practice to improve Learning outcomes, and the aim of this study is therefore to identify and discuss benefits and disadvantages associated with the LMS as a concept. By interviewing secondary school teachers, we disentangle the idea of integrating administrative and pedagogical aids into a single platform, providing detailed insight into the use of digital tools in secondary education. The study contributes to a deepened understanding of integrated Learning environments, and we conclude that there is a conflict between structure and flexibility that needs to be addressed before determining the design of a digital Learning space..

Interaktiva, digitala lärresurser : Med underhållning kommer motivation

Earlier research has shown that combining education with entertainment can improve students motivation in school. With this study we aim to learn more about interactive digital Learning resources and how they should be designed to entertain and thereby contribute to motivation. We have identified aspects of educational games that also could be considered when developing interactive digital Learning resources, to make them more entertaining and motivating. We have chosen to study and evaluate an interactive digital Learning resource called ?Grasp the Disaster?, a fictional online adventure created for students in the ages between 13-15.

Engelskundervisning i årskurs 1 : På väg mot A1-nivå i enighet med den europeiska referensramen för språk

The aim of this study was to explore how young students can be taught during their first year of Learning English towards the A1 level according to The European Framework of Reference for Languages, and how the students understand their own Learning. The study was carried out in two different classes but with the same teacher, who is qualified to teach English to young learners. The result is based on the analysis of a total of twelve observations of English lessons in two classes in school year one and eight group interviews with the students. Recurrent ingredients through all lessons were activities such as listening to teacher talk, watching films or film clips, singing songs and doing rhymes, using drama activities, talking about the meaning of Learning English, practicing guessing competence and Learning new vocabulary. The teacher consistently talked about and taught different strategies for language Learning.

Lärande genom estetiska lärprocesser : Konstnärlighet som metod i Waldorfskolan - en etnografisk fältstudie

In this essay we study the practice of teaching and Learning through aesthetic Learning processes in a Waldorf School. Through an ethnographic field study three Waldorf teachers have been interviewed about their views regarding in what ways aesthetic Learning processes are present in their teaching and how Learning through these processes is being carried out practically. For the study a specific class has been observed during three days in a Waldorf School in Stockholm to examine how the aesthetic Learning processes are being performed in practice.Through the study we have reached the conclusion that in this particular Waldorf School teaching is being performed artistically and through aesthetic approaches and perspectives. This way of teaching is being carried out not only in the aesthetic subjects but also in the theoretic. The results of the study show that aesthetic Learning processes are present in almost all of the subjects in this Waldorf School..

Stress : En gransking av studenters stressnivå - Praktik och icke praktik

Practical and theoretical Learning are methods that are used in schools as a way to prepare students for the working life. Within the practical Learning knowledge is not only acquired to learn in practice, but the students must also be able to apply their theoretical knowledge to what he/she does. Against this background, the aim of the study was to investigate the importance of practical Learning for students in college / university level and how they are experiencing the stress that may arise out of the loss of practical Learning during their education, as well as their vision for working life after completing their education. The population of the study consisted of N = 36, which 18 of these had used both practical and theoretical Learning and the remainder had only used theoretical Learning. The method was a questionnaire survey with a high proportion of fixed alternative answers according to likert scales.

Kvalitetsredovisning och undervisning i matematik

The aim with this master thesis is to analyze a scientific material concerning the context between Learning and child/student development, and factors which controls process of Learning, to create an image with quality account and teaching in mathematics, which then can raise the mathematical knowledge among students.The phenomena which stand in focus for the investigation is: why there is a negative tendency for development of knowledge in mathematics, among the Swedish students that TIMSSs investigations showed in intercultural comparison within the years 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2007.The method is the ethnographical method, which is based on: analyzing scientific theories about Learning child/student development, factors which controls process of Learning, and factors which controls process of Learning the most and qualitative empiric investigation with qualitatively analyzes the questionnaires, which is about factors which are controlling the process of Learning and factors which are controlling the process of Learning the most.Result of the theoretical and empiric analyzes shows that factors as school environment, attitude for subjects and teaching, controls and influence the Learning. To end a unenthusiastic tendency as a negative development of mathematical knowledge among students that is shown in TIMSS investigation and to elevate the students' performance in mathematics, an elevated qualitative account and teaching in mathematics, by the factors named. Safe school environments as the intercultural meeting place, the teachers influence part to the students' subjects' attitude in mathematics and goal related grading criteria in teaching, is all required for e qualitative teaching in mathematics..

Lärande i molnet : EduSync belyst ur ett connectivistiskt synsätt

This essay has discussed and analyzed a draft for an idea about a network called EduSync. This idea is based on that teachers and students, attending and holding courses, all over the world should be able to find and interact with each other. EduSync is founded from a new Learning theory, connectivism. Interviews, participation in a conference and two workshops have been used to gather information and different points of view concerning e-Learning, for example possibilities and problems with this idea of a network.  A comparison of web communities and e-Learning environments that exists today was also done. The gathered information from persons as well as literature resulted in a discussion concerning Learning and what would or would not be possible with the creation of EduSync.

Entreprenöriellt lärande Utvärdering av ett utvecklingsprojekt

Abstract This study is an evaluation of a development project, seeking to work for entrepreneurial Learning, starting from John Hattie's findings on the significant factors for visible Learning. The study is based on action research a method together with a questionnaire, focused interviews and observation, by the issue of How do students perceive entrepreneurial Learning? The results show that the methodology contributes to a more active Learning and greater work satisfaction among students. The results also reinforce the thesis of the formative assessment and the importance of reflection for increased metacognition. The work identifies the project's educational shortcomings and strengths, and lays the foundation for further development towards full implementation of entrepreneurial Learning in a secondary activity that works to prepare students with special needs for the labor market..

Algebra och ekvationer ? att underlätta lärande : Lärandet börjar byggas vid första kunskapsmötet

Abstract This study aims with a pragmatic approach to investigate the Learning about how to solve simple equations, and what the teacher can do to help the student. Four questions asked are: (i) How and why will Learning take place? (ii) What will complicate Learning? (iii) How to support and facilitate Learning? (iv) Is it possible to identify an influence between identity and Learning? To answer these questions a qualitative study in elementary school is done. The results of the investigation are compared with previous research, and an interview with the teacher is presented. The recorded lessons are analyzed with PEA (practical epistemology analysis), and letters from the students with the Ecological Systems Theory of Bronfenbrenner.
