Background: A nurse who is working in the health care is expected to show the best side for other people. An emotional work demands a lot of the role of a nurse, when she has to deal with her feelings after the given situation to satisfy the patient.Aim: The purpose of the study is to seek understanding of what nurses perceive to be the essence of the emotional work in health care. The study also wants to understand what factors could affect the meeting both positively and negatively between nurse and patient in social interactionMethod: The study?s methodology is qualitative with phenomenological-hermeneutical approach to seek understanding of the six interviewed nurses lived experiences and the experiences of the emotional work.Results: The result has four main themes developed: Emotional management, to consider the patients existential needs, meeting the patient and to do something meaningful.Conclusion: The essence of the perceived emotional work for nurses is emotional transformation where the nurse changes her feelings by acting according to the situation in the meeting with the patient. Denna studie behandlar implementering av lean på en informationsprocess för fel- och avvikelserapportering i produktutvecklingen hos Saab AB, under affärsområdet Security and Defence Solutions (SDS) och sektionen Command & Control Systems (C2S). Målet med studien är att genom kartläggning av informationsflödet analysera hur leanfilosofi och leanmetoder kan implementeras för att utvärdera och förbättra informationsprocesser samt vilket problematik som finns förknippat med detta och kan avhjälpas av detta. Studiens mål är även att analysera hur mätetal kan användas för att mäta effektivitet och att se vilka potentiella risker som finns förknippat med detta samt så är målet att analysera hur ett företags organisationskultur påverkar flödet i informationsprocessen samt en implementering av lean.Uppgiften löstes genom att skapa en gedigen kunskap inom området genom teoretiska källor och simultant så utfördes en omfattande fallstudie med 21 kvalitativa intervjuer som huvudsaklig bas där flera perspektiv framkom som bidrog till en övergripande kartläggning över informationsflödet. Det empiriska materialet analyserades gentemot det teoretiska ramverket, där Likers 14 identifierade principer för implementering fungerat som utgångspunkt, vilket ledde fram till att ett flertal slutsatser kunde dras.Slutsatserna sammanfattas och illustreras i en figur som påvisar den generella problematik som behöver begrundas vid ett införande liknande det analyserade. I figuren belyser vi slutsatsen att företagskulturen genomsyrar varje steg av implementeringen av lean och att det första steget måste vara att se till så att kulturen är mottaglig för implementeringen och den förändring det innebär.

This thesis deals with information practices of first time parents. The term information practice covers topics ranging from the information a parent need and use, the information they actively seek for through to information attained through browsing, monitoring or simply being aware. Four problem areas have been formulated. What information do first time parents need? How do they get hold of information and how do they use it? What factors decide what sources they use? How do the first time parents validate the information they get? The following theoretical framework have been used; Marcia J Bates? model of information practice and Reijo Savolainen?s Mastery of Life theory.

Effektiviseringsarbete är inget nytt fenomen utan har länge varit viktigt för företag. Ett av de mest kända effektiviseringssystemen utvecklades på Toyota och utifrån det systemet utformades senare begreppet Lean som i korthet handlar om ständiga förbättringar och eliminering av slöseri. Lean är uppbyggt utifrån varuproduktion men har under senare tid även kommit att användas inom tjänstesektorn. Det kan dock diskuteras i hur stor utsträckning Lean går att använda inom tjänsteföretag. Både positiv och negativ kritik vad gäller Lean i tjänsteföretag skapar ett intresse att vidare undersöka hur Lean i tjänstesektorn fungerar i praktiken.Det övergripande syftet med studien är att skapa en ökad förståelse för hur konceptet Lean kan användas inom tjänstesektorn.

Background: Suicidal individuals are vulnerable patients in need of a caring relationship. A caring relationship should be based on a real presence were the patient's needs are in focus. Yet research has shown that suicidal patients experience caring that exacerbate their suicidial problems and hopelessness.Aim: To describe the experiences of hope and hopelessness in suicidal patients and their encounter with health care.Methods: In a literature review, in accordance with Friberg (2012) eight scientific papers have used, analyzed and scrutinized to answer the purpose of a new whole.Results: Two main themes emerged in the results with related subcategories. Experiences of hopegiving acts with sub-themes: The significance of  a caring relationship, the significance of a strong social network and the significance of feelings of hopefulness. The second main theme that emerged was: Experiences of acts connected to hopelessness with subthemes: The significance of a non-confirmatory caring relationship and the significance of feelings of hopelessness.Discussions: It is found that suicidal patients experience care that lead to feelings of despair.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur Lean passar i vården genom att studera framgångsfaktorer och kartlägga eventuella utmaningar samt att ge en ökad förståelse för vårdens Leanarbete.Metod: För att uppnå syftet med studien lämpar sig en kvalitativ metodinriktning bäst. För att öka förståelsen för hur Lean passar i vården har en fallstudie genomförts, där tio verksamheter inom Landstinget i Värmland har studerats. Ett sätt att samla in data för denna studie har varit att genomföra semistrukturerade intervjuer med respondenter inom varje verksamhet och detta ligger till grund för empirin. Referensramen har arbetats fram med hjälp av vetenskapliga artiklar och böcker.Slutsats: Studien visar, att Lean som ursprungligen konstruerades för den japanska bilindustrin, mycket väl kan användas i vården, men måste anpassas till vårdens behov. Gammal ledningsstruktur, invanda roller och oförutsägbarhet är hinder som måste överbryggas för att Leanarbetet ska fungera optimalt.

Det är uppenbart för alla inom sjukvården i Gävle att de ligger på gränsen till vad de kan hantera. Landstingen bestämmer inte bara vad sjukvården skall producera, utan även vad det får kosta. Det går ibland inte ihop, vilket föder frustration och vanmakt hos berörda avdelningar och personal. Behovet av sjukvård kommer troligen att öka ytterligare i framtiden, och vi verkar ha kommit till vägens ände vad gäller nuvarande arbetssätt. Syfte och mål med detta examensarbete är att genomföra en förstudie till att implementera och arbeta med lean på Gävle sjukhus och ortopedavdelningen.

Today sportsclubs are important actors in the work with promoting public health in Sweden. Sports have unique opportunities to reach out with messages to many people with diffrent backgrounds. In many respects sport- and clublife could be looked upon as health promotiv activiteis. It is not just the health of the individual that is affected by sportslife but also the community take advantage of active people in clubs. Partly through a healthier population and partly because clubs educational role in teaching democracy and solidarity to its members.

This study is based on interviews with heads of unit, care staff and senior representatives from a total of six people. We have in this study directed our focus on care quality in the elderly as a concept in development. It appears, when the elderly do not have any dependents, it is even more important that staff supports some extra where no relatives are involved.Quality of life is the broader concept of good quality care and where a good quality of care is a necessary condition for a good quality of life. According to the social services care is the target that older people will live a good life and be allowed to live in a safe environment, which we intend to investigate in this study. Opportunity for greater influence should now be given to older people and their families on how interventions should be designed and implemented.

In health care today at Uppsala County Council the daily work involves spending time at the computer. IT-systems were implemented to support and aid the care givers in their work. Around these systems there is a support organization to support the users in using the system. The aim of this thesis is to investigate this organization in terms of how well it works and how successful it is in helping the users. This has been done by investigating the flow of information trough the organization and by focusing at the role of IT-coordinators with responsibility for support, process development, education and statistics.

Diabetes typ 1 är en alltmer vanlig sjukdom bland barn och tonåringar. Att vara tonåring och samtidigt ha en kronisk sjukdom är en utmaning och ställer krav på tonåringen. Tonårstiden kretsar kring att frigöra sig från sina föräldrar och utveckla sin egen identitet. Sjukvården har ett stort ansvar att ge en så god vård som möjligt och hjälpa tonåringen genom denna period i livet då tonåringen ska utveckla ett egenansvar för sin diabetes och hälsa.Syftet med denna uppsats var att belysa tonåringars, med diabetes typ 1, upplevelser av vad som utvecklar deras egenansvar för den personliga hälsan. Uppsatsens är en litteraturstudie bygger på kvalitativa vårdvetenskapliga artiklar.

Background: Approximately one in three Swedish people will receive a cancer diagnosis. Cancer primarily affects the elderly but also young people suffer. Young people are in a period of life that could put a strain of the ordinary when they are faced with choices and new challenges. The basic sense of security in everyday life is not so obvious and many suffer from, for example, stress and the feeling of being inadequate in relation to the requirements. It is relevant that the nurses can put themselves into what it is like to be young and afflicted with cancer, with the pressures of life itself and what the disease represents.

Uppsatsen är gjord som en systematisk litteraturstudie med en kvalitativ ansats där nio artiklar analyserades. Litteraturstudiens syfte var att beskriva patientens upplevelse av att befinna sig i den sena fasen av den palliativa vården. Vårt resultat visade att patienter som befinner sig i den palliativa vården ville ha kontroll över livet, uppleva trygghet och värderade saker annorlunda. Trygghet upplevdes t.ex. när patienter kunde vårdas i det egna hemmet.

Lean production härstammar från företaget Toyota och Taiichi Ohno?s begrepp ToyotaProduction System. Metoden är idag ett dominerande styrmedel bland organisationer. Därmedhar konceptet implementerats i allt fler västerländska resultatstyrda organisationer, varsparametrar för kontroll skiljer sig mot de lean production utgår från. Dess innebörd sträckersig över stora delar av en organisation, vilket bidrar till begreppets komplexitet.

The paper aims to examine how the wives of men with dementia experience their lives and how they perceive support from the society. The paper also aims to highlight the family care consultants´ work and views on support for families of people with dementia.Three spouses of people with dementia and three family care consultants were interviewed and the results were analyzed using Antonovsky's (1991) three theoretical concepts; comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness that comes from his theory Sense of coherence.The results show that the three wives whose men suffered from dementia spend most of their time, effort and energy on their husbands. They do not have time to think about their own needs and what support they feel they could use for themselves. They do not think about themselves as caregivers, they are spouses.Family care consultants are well aware of the importance of meeting and see the relatives in their lives, and denounces the importance of a support designed individually. Family care consultants understand that the most important and the best support society can provide a family care giver is that their close ones are well taken care of and given good care..
